  I've recently updated the graphics card in my Mac Pro 3.1 for an EVGA Nvidia GTX 680 Mac Edition and have set up so that after effects CS6 recognizes it as a compatible card as in many places, I read that it should work fine. However, I don't seem to receive all the benefits of using, rendering time a little longer, if it is not longer than before and previews just like sluggish. I've updated the graphics card and CUDA, set the preview of Ray-tracing for GPU and all the comps are set to display with the ray-tracing, but I still get no no performance gain.

  I noticed that under the information GPU in the OpenGL Shader Model information is empty and greyed out. I don't know if this is related to the problem, but I'm not sure why this is. Information under CUDA seems to be OK. I have provided the following information:

  As Mylenium says, you seem to be waiting for something which is not the case. The 3D rendering engine traced to the RADIUS does not speed up the rendering of the classic compositions from After Effects. It is rather a rendering engine to make a very limited set of manipulations in 3D (extrusion of text and shapes) and flexion of the 2D layers. Even these things are not fast with the traced the beam 3D rendering engine. they are just faster with the GPU that they would be on the CPU.

  Big problems after the update to OSX 10.11.6. Creation/after effects/SOUL (all latest versions) all introduce a kernel with my cMacPro panic them 2012. Computer freezes and goes upward. Photoshop/bridge etc. Start fine. Seems it has something to do with the Adobe Media core. It hangs at that time at the start of AE.

  Reinstalled OSX 10.11.6 updating combo, Reinstalled Adobe app, cleaned cash (Onyx), uninstalled the driver of the black magic. Nothing helps.

  I'm on a Mac Pro 2012 with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN X 12288 MB (macvid cards) running on the latest driver from NVIDIA. Can it be linked to this driver? Or maybe CUDA? FCPX starts fine and does not use Cuda.

  Enter OSX 10.10.5 startup disk. that should work well.

  You can not. CUDA is a proprietary technology from nVidia. Not that it's important to good - unless you use the 3D Raytrace stuff, is always working normal and relevant OpenGL functions.

  I googled on result of Sniffer code < GPU Manager > 3 and I found people who had the same error. They solved this problem by uninstalling the CUDA program. So, I checked if my computer has CUDA, but no. I have found none.

  Updating the graphics driver, update windows (a service pack1), uninstallation and reinstallation of the AE, deleating fonts Korean, no. CUDA in my computer, downgraded graphics and updated driver to update again...

  I tried all these things to fix the error, but none of them worked...

  Something on your GPU is to waste them. Try an old driver GPU as 353.30 and see if that helps. If this does not work, you may want to consider uninstalling your Adobe software, runs the Adobe CC cleaning tool and then put it back.
