• Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects works well with the merger?

  Hey everybody,

  I'm in the middle of a semester at the University and I use Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects (Windows version). I was wondering if the merger would work well with these programs? I intend to the latest update of merger next week.

  The mac I use is an iMac in August 2008 (running 10.5.6). 3.06 Ghz, 4 GB RAM, 1 TB HD, and a Nvidia GeForce 8800. I also install Windows XP Pro edition and the value of using two processors and 2-3 GB of RAM.

  I will also put it on a new account make sure that practically nothing is running while im current merger.

  I use this for my final college.

  Edit: I forgot to mention. I use CS3. My school has not yet updated in CS4.

  In addition, you think that a 64-bit version of Vista will work best and then 32 bit XP on this partition?

  I love Fusion as much as anyone here and use it a lot. But, in saying that...

  You use this something really important - your final college. You need to perform at its best performance with as few problems as possible because you don't have a lot of time in your semester left (in the grand scheme of things).

  My advice - do not experiment. Work around the merger (as heretical as it may seem on this forum) and first and AfterEffects in a punt in native mode Windows XP OS that is on a BootCamp partition. Video editing will focus on i/o and graphics of your system performance - and nothing works better for this than the native access to the system.

  Running two processors in a virtual merger with computer on a machine with 2 hearts can lead to better performance and is not recommended.

• After effects WARNING: error with directory?

  Okay so recently I had issues with text layers don't display correctly, and I posted here and found that the solution was to recreate my preferences file. However, since then I get an error when AE starts that says "after effects WARNING: error with directory:

  C:\Documents and Settings\Brandon\Application Data\Adobe\After Effects\8.0\MediaIO". Is there a way to fix this without going back to the old preferences file that gave me the original problem?

  

  And what happens if you simply delete the error? The directory itself is not so important, because it takes just presets and caches for Adobe Media Encoder based formats (MPEG-2, WMF, etc.). AE must re - create, if necessary. Before that, check the permissions on the folder as a starting point...

  I recently installed the driver Sony SxS on a MacPro with OS of Yosemite. After installing, first would not open (boot image is up but then freezes) and I had to force quit. After that the effects gave me error messages following when I tried to open it:

  I'm not sure what you're saying. Are you saying that when you return leave After effects audio sounds bad, but the audio file that was in your composition sounds not so bad when you play in other applications?

  You're not tell us what looks like your original audio file or what are your rendering in After Effects settings, so we don't have a lot of information that we might need.

  If your original audio is an MP3 file, try transcoding to a WAV and use in AE. Make an uncompressed file to AE, then use Adobe Media Encoder to make your folder of final delivery. It is in any case the correct workflow. AE should not be used to make your final compressed version.

  Firefox normally uses the colors that you specify in your Windows theme, so as Plan B, you could change those.

• After effects issues globally with draw lines?

  If anyone can help, that would be great. I am so ticked off that I'm about to throw my entire project and give up!  I spent all day on a problem and I give up.

  I created a road map in Illustrator.  It is a very large file since it is a set of State - so it is very detailed.  I want to put this in AE and then at æ draw a line of road along the roads to show the viewer how to drive the road.  In some cases, the map will be zoomed on an area to show the way in a box.  In others, I want to show the whole of the State on the screen and to chart the road through the State.

  In practice, I had a problem with that with my tests.  However, now that I use this large file have, it won't work.

  First of all, the line shape layer is either too broad (is 2.0px 3 "wide on my screen, so I have to take it down to something as 0.1 to make look it correct), or the line will not remain with the layer when I have parents it 3D.  I would like to draw the line (route), then move the model (or a camera) to look more like the mapping in 3D.  I've tried the camera, too, and nothing works.  Even when it seems that I can draw the line, I can't click anywhere near the last point without catching the last point, which does not follow the roads.

  I think only it is something with the size of the map of the State, the terms of AI?  But I do not understand how this can be resolved.  Help, please.

  Easy: duplicate the Illustrator file.  Give a new name and open it.  On a new LAYER of Illustrator - not a form or something like that, but a whole new layer - create your itinerary.  Now, throw the other stuff in the trash.  Save the new file in Illustrator.  Fact.

• Why update my web browser page increments the number of users connected to my remote façade?

  I use LabVIEW 2010 and a cRIO-9118 to broadcast my RT of frontage on the web with a Web server.

  I configured the web server to be able to control my front remotely. However, I have a problem with "Refresh" browser.

  When I press 'Enter' to find the address of the web server, the number of connected users seems to increment by one and then tells me that "too many users are connected to the façade. Once this was done, the only way to "unlock" the web server must restart the cRIO.

  Is there a solution to avoid this problem?

  My current web browser is Internet Explorer 8.

  Hi Mathieu,

  Unfortunately, there is currently not a very good solution for the problem you are experiencing. It seems that it is a known issue that works in R & D. It is that in addition to simply refreshing, this problem also occurs if you try to access the remote façade using a second tab in a tabbed browser. A "fix" would be to invest in a higher façade remote County license. If this is not feasible, then the current recommendation would be to avoid the connection to the façade remotely from a second tab or refresh the view in your browser. Once you exceed the number of connections to the remote façade, you must restart the RT controller - it is not a way to change this default behavior. You can follow all the patches in R & D by keeping the CAR (corrective action request) ID mark for this question, which is #202702.

  Ive been working on a 24 minute or so video and I made a habit of stopping every two minutes to check if the Media Encoder will get the composition. 2 hours in and its always appearing, but 30 minutes later he no longer appears. No matter how I back track, I can't make it appear again. This is the 3rd time its past and with so many hours invested in it, I really don't want to do it all works again.

  Anyone of you knows what's causing this problem or better yet, a way to fix?

  Ive tried to give thanks After effects manually, but the video is still too big, and I never has audio and jerky images slowmo.

  In summary, I don't want to do 12 hours of work yet again. Help, please.

• Web browser on all the time?

  When I activate the web browser, it seems to stay until I actually turn off the phone.  How do I disconnect after I am done using the web access, without turning off the phone?  Palm Treo 755 p, Sprint.

  Here is how I have mine disconnect manually.

  1. press the home button

  2. go into Prefs

  3. Select the network

  4. find the button disconnect and touch

  It cuts the connection to the network

  Message is about: Treo 680 (unlocked GSM)

• After Effects will not import any preset animations of the bridge.

  I just installed creative cloud.  It seems to work fine, except that when I try to apply animation preset in After Effects by the bridge, it gives me an error message saying "unable to import the xxx.fxx file: filtype not taken in charge or extension.

  I don't mean to import a "file" or whatever that it either... just trying to apply an animation preset to a clip on a timeline of EI.  Never had problems with CS5.  Anyone know what is happening?
