  I have a project that is checked into a source code repository and film files (especially the WAVs) are of a certain size. When I opened my After Effects project that contains them, changes the size of the file (by on a kilobyte)!

  Our film files are connected to the network storage and many make machines open and change this model project (and recording a version in a single file also). This change in file size causes unnecessary NFS traffic and repository bloat.

  You use the default Animation codec which is the default codec. You should really study up on top of the rendering and formats. I guess that your connection to the external drive has had some problems of data rate or start bits. Try another cable or restore to your boot drive. You put across your latest screenshots to the point where they are very difficult to read, but it seems that everything is normal, except that your upper screenshot shows that the images only in the shot looks like it's from a GoPro and cadence of composition in the render settings appears only 24. It is not likely that this is the actual rate of the images. Select images in the composition in the project Panel and check out the cadence. If it is 59.94 your comp should either be 29.97 or 59.94. Due to the size, I suspect that the pace is not 24 but 23.976.

  

  This has caused probably not your problem, but frame rates are important to understand and use correctly.

• Crash animation After Effects rendering parameters

  Hi all

  We have a strange problem on one of our Mac Pros running After Effects (CS5). Whenever it is rendered with the rendering of Animation parameters, it beach balls and finally crashes, unless you log out the user and reconnect (on rare occasions, it can only be fixed by a reboot). However, when it crashes in this way it takes forever (10 + minutes) to get back up and running. It is the only time wherever it takes time to turn on or open a session.

  However, if we change the rendering parameters to tell h.274, everything works fine. I don't think that it is because it is short of resources as the Mac has 32 GB of RAM and the file that we were testing on is not big (< 1 GB). We tried making it over the network or locally on the machine, but it will freeze anyway. This is a question which is limited to this Mac Pro, so I don't think that it is just a bug in the software, considering how it is not random at all and other machines with the same exact game to have no problem. Normally, I would say that we need to update or reinstall a codec if it was third party, but considering that animation is from Adobe, I don't think it's as simple to fix.

  What do you think guys? Don't you think that it should reinstall After Effects?

After a few days later, I reinstalled the SxS driver, Premiere and After Effects are opened very well, but then this morning they stopped again opening. Other CC applications seem to open very well with the installed driver. Someone at - there no indication of the resolution of this conflict? Thank you.

  I'm in the middle of a semester at the University and I use Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects (Windows version). I was wondering if the merger would work well with these programs? I intend to the latest update of merger next week.

  The mac I use is an iMac in August 2008 (running 10.5.6). 3.06 Ghz, 4 GB RAM, 1 TB HD, and a Nvidia GeForce 8800. I also install Windows XP Pro edition and the value of using two processors and 2-3 GB of RAM.

  I will also put it on a new account make sure that practically nothing is running while im current merger.

  I use this for my final college.

  Edit: I forgot to mention. I use CS3. My school has not yet updated in CS4.

  In addition, you think that a 64-bit version of Vista will work best and then 32 bit XP on this partition?

  I love Fusion as much as anyone here and use it a lot. But, in saying that...

  You use this something really important - your final college. You need to perform at its best performance with as few problems as possible because you don't have a lot of time in your semester left (in the grand scheme of things).

  My advice - do not experiment. Work around the merger (as heretical as it may seem on this forum) and first and AfterEffects in a punt in native mode Windows XP OS that is on a BootCamp partition. Video editing will focus on i/o and graphics of your system performance - and nothing works better for this than the native access to the system.

  Running two processors in a virtual merger with computer on a machine with 2 hearts can lead to better performance and is not recommended.

• Why used after effects rendered parts of my video?

  Kind of sequels, I was doing a project. In it consists of; Rotation, Fading in and out etc. At first everything was fine, but if I had video preview, the preview would stop at the moment the effect will start and it would interrupt the preview of the whole project. I can't find any solution, so I came to the conclusion to make a post. Please help! , When I try to make it, make it fails when the effect is good place to start also.

  UPDATE: I found out why, it was one of my effects that was to ruin the whole project.
