after effects to export photoshop layers

Right, so I've never really been much of a Photoshop guy.  As a Motion Designer / 3D Animator for 15 years, I've never met anything, I could not do with After Effects and/or Cinema 4 d (with Final Cut or more recently first added for good measure).

However, I find myself in a unique and quite frustrating situation.  I need to export a model of the single image as a PSD layered image.  Easy, isn't it?  Of course, but it seems to be a few big enough caveats.  Whenever I try, I get the message:

Screen Shot 2015-01-27 at 6.23.06 PM.png

So, the first thing I did is get rid of my caches either replace them with masks or rendered a flattened version of only these two or three layers, then I could re - import and replace the dull pair of the track with just a normal raster layer.  I did until my computer was completely free of caches, and yet I still get this message.  Now, my efforts have contributed to the appearance of the resulting file when opened in Photoshop, but I still a change of color of light cyan to a shade much green, and I'm getting some transparency that I wasn't expecting in a few places.  Only blending modes that I use are Normal, Add, screen and multiply.  I don't know much about the PS, but I know she has these means available to it.

The message speaks however for these 2 things... In other words, there must be yet ANOTHER incompatible element in the game, but I don't know what it is, or even how to track him down.  At this point, I almost want to just make it individually to each layer and try to manually assemble in Psalm... but come on. Putting aside a moment that two requests made by the same company, ostensibly the same purpose - image manipulation - not being able to communicate more effectively with one another is not unlike having 2 children and a teacher only Spanish and another Italian. Of course, they would be able to communicate in ways, but any significant exchange would be very difficult.

Is there someone here who can help me to know what that is verboten in this type of workflow, or if it's something that doesn't work as it should?  Are there any workarounds or known procedures to make the file open in Photoshop look even as he did when he left After Effects, or is it a largely untenable proposal? I have to suck it up and start at level 0 in a new program?

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

See you soon,.

-Willie

Right - I discovered caches fairly quickly and eliminated.  As you can see from my screenshot above, I'm not using the mattes in my computer.

I decided to go on the removal of layer by layer, until I had an export without the error message.  Turn, it's the Add mode that causes the problem.  So, I made an export of all of the layers that did not employ this mode and then exports the 2 layers that use it.  I then opened the batch in PS, flies over them adjusted until I had the right look and 2 isolated layers.  Oddly, I ended using Add (which PS called linear density) but with better results when EI he did 'automatically' export.  The only difference now in my PS layer stack, it is that I had duplicate layer flare (and ramp down its opacity to about half) to get the same 'brightness', I had in my AE comp.  I also no longer had the hue-shift reported previously.

So, in the interest to have a definitive list of the updates warn workflow, we know now there is a problem with the way After Effects converts the layers with the straight-line method in a layer of PS.

  • After Effects CS5 and Photoshop Live 3D

I created 3D text in PS CS5 using repelled and then imported and that in AE (thank you Chris and Trish!).  Importing and adding a model went perfectly.  Animation of a camera around the PS 3D layer worked as expected, revealing the text nice and chunky 3D from all angles.  However, two problems have surfaced.

    1. I tried pre model PS 3D layer (to build a fake reflection in the demo), and I finished with a layer of 2.5 D in the parent model.  I tried to change expressions in the PS 3D layers to bind a null identical to parent model controller, but this does not (quite possible operator error).  When I collapsed transformations on the demo, I got chunky text that would not meet the animation of model parent camera (he acted like a 2D layer).  In the end, I had to copy keyframes null camera of model parent to a camera identical zero in the demo.  Then I had to turn the demo into a 2D layer.  Is there a more elegant solution that I have not found?  It is difficult to modify the animation camera even with ETLAT.
    2. The demo and the 3D PS layers seem to be immune to the blur no matter what I do.  Motion blur is a no-no if you use Photoshop Live 3D?

Is there a more elegant solution that I have not found?

Create a reflection as geometry in Psalm... Duplicate your originals, convert to mesh, -100% scale, texture, 3D fusion.

Motion blur is a no-no if you use Photoshop Live 3D?

Unfortunately Yes. You can of course always try RSMB or CC Force Motionblur on your demo.

  • After Effects for export and the maximum size of the file

    Hello

I'm new to the area of the entire animation and have a question of export format.

My project is set to 1920 x 1080 (29 seconds) and I need to export less than 100 MB for display on the web at about 1090x620px (Australian standards). The accepted formats are mpg/mp4/flv/avi/mov/wmv. Someone has any advice on the best export settings in this case?

    Thanks heaps for all help.

    =) The

What do you mean by 'the Australia Standard?  1090 x 620 no standard exists to my knowledge.

The file size of 100MB for 29 seconds video online is huge, and I can't imagine any web viewer sitting around waiting 10 minutes for the 29 seconds of the video to download.  What, precisely, do you online with this file?  Wherever it is affected and who is the audience target?

In Australia, among the main companies of distribution of media TV is AdStream.  They distribute 30 second standard def TV commercials for television networks to the Quicktime H264 format.  They ask files compressed to 15000 kbps, resulting in sizes of files about 30 to 40 MB for a TVC 30 sec.  Maybe that's a good basis for your own encoding, according to what the goal is.

But, as I mentioned earlier, it is strictly for viewing online, I would aim to keep the size of your much smaller file - 10 MB max.

  • After effects error: error in file Photoshop 3415 (45: 35)

I just installed after effects CC 2015 today and then installed an update to After Effects dealing with Adobe Camera Raw. I am running Windows 7. Now I cannot import .dng filmed on the Blackmagic film camera in After Effects. CAB opens and shows me the first image in the DNG sequence very well but when I close the ADR I get the error message:

After effects error: 3415 Photoshop file format error.

    (45: 35)

The image I see in After Effects is therefore the HD Bars and tone, which indicates a missing file or not visible.

    Suggestions?

The update of the corrections after effects CC 2015 (13.5.1) is available, and it has some difficulties in this area: http://adobe.ly/1Il5JYe

  • Animation of track (After Effects) to animate gasket CC

    Hello

I'm just using CC animate to produce banners of advertisement for the Google Adwords campaign a client in a HTML5 format after disappointing results with GIFs because of the limitations of frame rate in Google's advertising specifications.

I am currently rebuilding an announcement in Animate. Although I can use Classic tweens and motion to reproduce some of the transitions that I had previously created in After Effects, I can't find any way to animate along a path. To clarify, I don't mean to animate a path, but rather to create a line in dashed that pushes along a path; something that was very simple to accomplish by using After Effects.

After looking in the FAQ, I saw some members advising this creation in After Effects and export to Animate. However, as far as I can see, the export to flash (.swf, etc) options appear to have now been removed After effects.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Thank you!

There is not a way automatic to animate the beginning and end of a path to animate.  Masking is your best bet.

Here is a small example of how you can reveal lines using masking in Animate: Dropbox - MaskPath

For a relatively straight line, you can just tween a rectangle to reveal.  For a closed line, you must do a little more animation frame-by-frame, but it is still fast enough.  This example took me less than 10 minutes.

  • Just curious to see how it would do that in after effect

Little lost on how to even begin to do something like that. Can anyone give me some advice or put me in a good sense of how we go about creating this intro in Adobe after effect?

    Think layers and track mattes.

CreativeCOW doing things to push bye Jayse Hansen

Personally, I would create the work in Illustrator. Then according to the design I probably converting the layers of shap of vector layers. For some models, you can even use the path tools of offset for shape layers and as mattes.

  • What does "after effects error: not enough memory to initialize PSL.» (83:: 8) "mean?

So, about a week before I did a fresh 64-bit Windows 7 ultimate on a new PC and installation subscribed to the Adobe Creative Cloud, After Effects CS6 and Photoshop CS6 of Adobe Application Manager installation, then all updates made (and I just checked right now at 22:35 on 26 July, I have the latest version of everything).

After effects was working at normal, and then later, I tried to import a .psd Photoshop and I got the error message:

After effects error: not enough memory to initialize the PSL.

    (83: 8)

Then After Effects crashed. So now he opens normally, but when I try to import a .psd or open an After Effects project registered an earlier version of After Effects (CS3 to CS5) I get the same error and an accident, every time.

The research forums, I see people talking about this error when you import .psds in CS5, and they say that to get the latest updates solved the problem for them (which obviously cannot help me). I use all legitimate software on a computer brand new with 32 GB of RAM, who has passed all my tests of physical stress, so I know it's not hardware related.

The only thing that I've seen people suggest is pressed Ctrl-Alt-shift to the launch of the program. When I do this, Windows asks if I want to allow After Effects to make changes to the system, and when I say yes, I can import .psds and open the old AE files. When I close After Effects and reopen it without hold down Ctrl-Alt-Shift keys, it goes immediately to crashing.

Of course chip-* answer is ' then hold down Ctrl-Alt-Shift, dummy "and I'll do it for now, but is there any idea what is the problem?

I feel like kind of a stupid because I decided to stop using my versions student software Adobe (I was not a student for about four years) and pay the full price for the composition of the cloud and the latest creative suite, and it is full of bugs.

    Hello

If on the windows machine, make sure that the system temp/tmp environment variables point to % USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp, if it's in a different location, you will experience crashes in various programs of Production Premium (bridge, prelude), not able to import a psd in first or AE, photoshop gives a strange on swapfile error as it tries to open it on the root of C :.  You can run individual programs high, although will not work with dynamic link between programs like body/AE.

    It will be useful.

  • Question about Workflow between Premiere and After Effects

Hey guys, I have Production Premium CS5 (Premiere and AE)

One thing that has always confused me was between these 2 products basic workflow.  Is it better to your clips, but them in sequence, make effects of base than first supports and the highest quality video output to take into AE and apply effects?

Or do I take videos, my After Effects work, export as a clip that will then be used in the video composition in first?  I know I don't want to pass a too often because of the compression, then that would be the most optimized workflow?

For the record, I do a lot of video game of frag movies, so I have many effects, I want to put in it.

Your best bet here is to take advantage of dynamic linking.  Any changes made to a comp in AE automatically appear in the component in first, no rendering or exporting required.

  • Buy a new Machine for After Effects

Can anyone give me some advice on which system to get to a user of After Effects, Maya and Photoshop.

I'm looking for Dell and HP and I would like to know what level of processors, the amount of ram and what type

video card etc. I would get a fast and reliable system without going overboard.

MM, for 3-4 K, you can pretty much get one Z-600 HP or one of the Dell Precision T7500's. You don't have to bother with E-series quads, get a Xeon X series or, if you're really ready to spend a lot, a W. Jeter set in at least 12 GB of RAM. The value default 6 GB is far too little. 24GB is even better, but beyond those probably not improve things more far. Graphics will depend largely on your needs of Maya. AE itself is quite low density using OpenGL, so a low Quadro of range, or even a normal GeForce card or ATI will do.

  • Export an After Effects for Photoshop image

    Hello

What is the best way to export this leave After effects in Photoshop without the black background?  It isn't a black background at all with the alpha channel, but it's still there in Photoshop, so I was wondering is it something special, I have to do here.

Never mind. I found the "Place shipped" button in Photoshop that did the trick.

  • Import Layered PhotoShop in After Effects

I am under PhotoShop CS5 and After Effects CS5 on Windows 64-bit machine. I want to import a layered PhotoShop file and keep the layers so I can animate the separated elements. Sometimes, everything works fine and I get the PS icon waited in the timeline panel for each layer. But sometimes, everything done exactly the same thing, I get a funny icon on the left (RGB?) and the bounding box of each layer is the size of the model with the anchor point in the middle of the model. The layers are not cut to the limits of the content. The color of the chronology for each layer is green instead of blue. What is going on?

File > import file... Import kind > composition - keep the sizes of layer.

    after_effects_pslayers_01.jpgafter_effects_pslayers_02.jpg

The problem is caused by importing a Photoshop file with the sequence checked Photoshop laminate, then click on import in the form of composition. I made a short video to show the difference when you import the same file with two different settings. The problem you will have, is that the images won't be long 2 images.

It is however a work around this problem if you are engaged in the project loan. First solution, re - import the same PSD file with the correct settings, and then replace the image in each layer. Second, select all layers, then go to layer > time and apply time remapping for each layer, then spread the layer.

  • Add new layers Photoshop file already imported into After Effects?

Hi... for a .psd with say 10 layers imported into After Effects I would add a layer 11.  How to import this 11 layer in After Effects?

Sorry for the basic question, thank you!

    You can do this:

    1. go to file > import.

    2. Select the same PSD file you have already imported as a Composition.

    3. still in the import dialog box, select import as "Footage", not as "Composition".

    4. in the next dialog box, AE asking you if you want to import the PSD as 'merged layers"(not what you want) or if you want to choose a specific layer in the PSD (see image below). Choose this option and simply select the new layer. That's all.

  • After effects exported in Adobe Animator? How?

    Hello

I'm doing a text animation. It is easier to do animation in After Effects.

I want to use the animation on Muse so I made a png sequence and transformed the After Effects in a sequence of images on Photoshop. Then tried to shoot this sequence in a gif file that has not really loaded. (Perhaps too long) (Animation of 30 seconds)

From what I've read online, it seems that I should have done this animation on the host as it's more user-friendly web. But for example the typewriter effect is not available on host Adobe.

    Any help would be appreciated

Is the only way to battle through on the host? I can get some of the after effects effects and drag em over host.  After Effects directly to Muse seems difficult.

    Thank you very much

    Harry

After Effects export video. So the only way to get something of the AE to animate is as a video file. It's probably not ideal.

  • 3D PHOTOSHOP IN AFTER EFFECT CC

Can someone help me please. I want to make a 3D object, I created in Photoshop after effects CC. I KNOW that I can't do it directly, as I scoured the web trying to find help. Is someone can you please tell me how I can do this? I don't think I have cinema 4 d, and if I do I have ever used. Help!

Is no longer supported. You must export your Photoshop 3D object to an obj file and then put it in a project lite C4D for use in After Effects.
