What does "after effects error: not enough memory to initialize PSL.» (83:: 8) "mean?

So, about a week before I did a fresh 64-bit Windows 7 ultimate on a new PC and installation subscribed to the Adobe Creative Cloud, After Effects CS6 and Photoshop CS6 of Adobe Application Manager installation, then all updates made (and I just checked right now at 22:35 on 26 July, I have the latest version of everything).

After effects was working at normal, and then later, I tried to import a .psd Photoshop and I got the error message:

After effects error: not enough memory to initialize the PSL.

(83: 8)

Then After Effects crashed. So now he opens normally, but when I try to import a .psd or open an After Effects project registered an earlier version of After Effects (CS3 to CS5) I get the same error and an accident, every time.

The research forums, I see people talking about this error when you import .psds in CS5, and they say that to get the latest updates solved the problem for them (which obviously cannot help me). I use all legitimate software on a computer brand new with 32 GB of RAM, who has passed all my tests of physical stress, so I know it's not hardware related.

The only thing that I've seen people suggest is pressed Ctrl-Alt-shift to the launch of the program. When I do this, Windows asks if I want to allow After Effects to make changes to the system, and when I say yes, I can import .psds and open the old AE files. When I close After Effects and reopen it without hold down Ctrl-Alt-Shift keys, it goes immediately to crashing.

Of course chip-* answer is ' then hold down Ctrl-Alt-Shift, dummy "and I'll do it for now, but is there any idea what is the problem?

I feel like kind of a stupid because I decided to stop using my versions student software Adobe (I was not a student for about four years) and pay the full price for the composition of the cloud and the latest creative suite, and it is full of bugs.

Hello

If on the windows machine, make sure that the system temp/tmp environment variables point to % USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp, if it's in a different location, you will experience crashes in various programs of Production Premium (bridge, prelude), not able to import a psd in first or AE, photoshop gives a strange on swapfile error as it tries to open it on the root of C :.  You can run individual programs high, although will not work with dynamic link between programs like body/AE.

It will be useful.

  • Error: Not enough memory is available to process this command

On one of our servers running Windows 2003 SP1, CFMX 6.1 (6,1,0,83762) we get the following about every other day.
"Not enough memory is available to process this command." The message only appears on one of the .cfm pages and other .cfm pages are stillaccessable. We have more than 2 GB of available disk space and 1 GB of RAM so I don't think that either of those who are the problem. In order to solve the problem, I just stop/restart CF and then everything works OK. The only thing I know that has changed with the server in recent weeks, it is that the following MS Patches have been installed: MS06-013, MS06-014 and MS06-015.

Is anyone of another experincing the problem and if so, what is the solution. I realize that I could always uninstall patches, but wanted to know if there is another solution before that.

  • Installer corrupted Windows - not enough memory is available to process this command error prevents me to update.

My installer of Windows probably corrupted, as it gives the "this installation package cannot be opened.  "Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package" message during the installation of some programs.  I'm now using Windows 7, but the problem has been around for my Vista installation.  I am unable to do a clean install of the operating system that didn't record because I bought 7 through the Win741.com agreement.
In addition, when I try to update Windows install, I get the message error "not enough memory is available to process this command."

I tried several things, like the safe mode, the command msiexec \regserver (maybe wrongly?  "He wouldn't take it without space), and nothing works.  I guess I should add that I tried it works as an admin too, given that always gets mentioned - and probably should be.  Help?

    You are welcome to help.

  • After effects error: layer does not have a source.

    Hi all

I add a text layer and then add my custom fill effect. Then I call AdvItemSuite1()-> PF_ForceRerender (in_data, & (params [0]-> u.ld)) of the CEAP for all layers. But only for the text layer, AE will appear a dialog box displays the following error message:

    (26::335)

Why is this happening? What other call can I use to render all the layers?

    Thank you and best regards,

text layers is really a source (as opposed to solids which do).

any source operation you will do an a text layer will give an error.

It goes the same for shape layers.

    Hello

I have a PC running Windows XP Pro on which I run several programs. After the opening of a few applications, I have this message "not enough memory".
When I have this message, I can't open another application, or those in Windows... I have 2 GB of memory and only 700 MB are used.
If I open the calculator several times (about 65 times), I have the same result.

    Hello

You did the chnages on computer before this problem?

I suggest you go through the steps of the following atrticle.

  • Error in the painting: "there is not enough memory or resources to complete the operation. Close some programs, and then try again. »

Original title: new resource error in painting, whenever I try to close the file or select all content

(Using XP with SP3) Use this machine for months and months and I use paint all the time to capture screens and paste a part in the documents. Don't know what I did but all of a sudden this error when I try to select - all or to close the window in paint:

"There is not enough memory or resources to complete the operation. Close some programs, and then try again. »

Even clicking end task in the Manager of tasks gets this message before TM requires the application to stop. Back to zero does not solve the problem, and other programs (memory hog) encounter any problems at all. Virus protection is up-to-date, ran a few cleanups, no help. I think that somewhere, paint is watered - I can download and reinstall?

    Hi ebjeebee,

This problem can occur for the following reasons:

    • If the bitmap file is a compressed format that Paint cannot read. For example, paint does not support CVID compressed bitmap files. If you try to open such a file in Paint, the above error message occurs.
    • If the default image for the paint attributes are too large. This setting depends on the memory and disk space.
To resolve this issue, use the appropriate method:
    • If you receive the error message above when opening a bitmap in Microsoft Paint, the only resolution at this time is to open the bitmap file in another program.
    • If you receive the error message above when opening Microsoft Paint, follow these steps to fix it:

    a. open an existing bitmap.

    b. in the Image menu, click attributes.

    c. click on default and then click OK.

    d. on the file menu, click Save as and save the bitmap with a new name.

    e. close and restart Paint.
