After Effects CS5 and Photoshop Live 3D

I created 3D text in PS CS5 using repelled and then imported and that in AE (thank you Chris and Trish!). Importing and adding a model went perfectly. Animation of a camera around the PS 3D layer worked as expected, revealing the text nice and chunky 3D from all angles. However, two problems have surfaced.

I tried pre model PS 3D layer (to build a fake reflection in the demo), and I finished with a layer of 2.5 D in the parent model. I tried to change expressions in the PS 3D layers to bind a null identical to parent model controller, but this does not (quite possible operator error). When I collapsed transformations on the demo, I got chunky text that would not meet the animation of model parent camera (he acted like a 2D layer). In the end, I had to copy keyframes null camera of model parent to a camera identical zero in the demo. Then I had to turn the demo into a 2D layer. Is there a more elegant solution that I have not found? It is difficult to modify the animation camera even with ETLAT.
The demo and the 3D PS layers seem to be immune to the blur no matter what I do. Motion blur is a no-no if you use Photoshop Live 3D?

Create a reflection as geometry in Psalm... Duplicate your originals, convert to mesh, -100% scale, texture, 3D fusion.

Unfortunately Yes. You can of course always try RSMB or CC Force Motionblur on your demo.

After Effects CS5 and Sony HDR - SR1 AVCHD (.) MTS file format)

I just started with After Effects, and I the only video camera I have is an old Sony HDR - SR1 camera, which records in 1080i and uses the AVCHD file format. I recorded some videos, in which I went to try and import them into After Effects. The program came up with this error: "error effects: '0020.MTS' cannot be imported - this".mts"file is damaged or not supported." I understand that this error is quite common, but I do not understand how to fix it. I've tried the Media Encoder, and the videos that come out are videos of nothing like horrible quality than videos recorded on the camera. I also tried included Picture Motion Browser from Sony (I have the latest version) and when I try to convert, the video also released horrible quality always has these annoying lines on the video. In fact, EI must recognize the AVCHD video, because I imported one of my recoedings, which is 1080 p MTS to EI, and it worked. Maybe the problem is in 1080i. I still have her deinterlace my 1080i files and then import them to AE. You can try to deinterlace your files and then import them to AE.

This feature works fine in Win 7 x 64. I think adding more RAM and going up to 12 GB. However, I noticed that CS5 sharing memory pool is limited to 75% of the physical RAM installed. Even if that makes sense, if you have a computer with the minimum requirements of 4 GB (because Windows itself will use a little less 1 GB + /), it makes less sense to 12 GB, where 9 GB is all you can use for the pool of CS5.

reading files AVCHD in After effects CS5

I have After Effects CS5 and when I try to import AVCHD in my composition, it won't let me it is said:

It is from a camera not supported or something else happens on your system, in particular CoDec conflict. Eitehr way, you need to provide much more information.

Our graphics Department have recently install Photoshop CS6 version 13.0 x 64. I'm going to open a .psd file, they created in After Effects CS5.5 version 10.5.1.2. However, I get the following message:
"After effects error: could not open (.psd name) because it is not a valid Photoshop document." (51: 19) »
Is there some way they can save their files in photoshop differently so that they will open or do I need to upgrade to After Effects CS6?

I've never met such a problem and switch between the two versions on a regular basis. On the machine, I'm working on right now I have CS6 installed creative cloud, but most of my AE work in CS5 or 5.5 because customers, I work for no upgarded yet. But all my PSD work in CS6.

Is there anything unusual in the file, 3D content IE? As Mylenium says 3D PS has changed and is no longer supported by AE. If not, you move between platforms, IE Windows to Mac? Is the file has a valid PSD extension?

After Effects worked PERFECTLY for me earlier today. Now, he won't cooperate.

Im working with DNG that have been converted from MLV files, sequences (I use the video hack gross magic lantern on a 5 dm 3).

Out of nowhere, whenever I try to import any DNG sequences, sequences of CR2, CR2 or DNG files, I get this error...
After effects error: the Photoshop file format error (- 1). (45: 35)

No matter which set of DNGS I open gives me error. Ive tried re-conversion of several files MLV (perhaps there were corrupt officials?) and their import again, but no luck.
Ive tried uninstalling AE and re installation with no luck.
I tried the updated Camera Raw to the latest version with no luck too. (Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter: for Macintosh)

Does anyone know why AE would simply stop working with my DNG sequences all of a sudden?
It makes absolutely no sense to me.
(Running on a macbook pro end 2013)

Well, after 4 hours of trying to understand this point, I did.
Including use of that Camera Raw 9.5 it won't work with AE. 9.1 will alone.
Still doesn't explain why it has just stopped working in the first place well...

After Effects CS5 - Keylight 1.2 pipette crashes on me!

Recently, I worked on an independent project and I created some green screen footage and tried to edit it in After Effects.
After that I added the effect 1.2 Keylight to my images, I went to the Eyedropper to click on it and then it crashes on me and gives me an error and stops completely After Effects!
I managed to take a screenshot of the error popup so that way you guys can see for yourselves.
I thought that, maybe, it has the. MP4 video. So, I converted the video to a .avi file and tried to apply the same Keylight effect again. Once I clicked on the pipette, it gave me the same message again and stops After Effects. I thought maybe it was only the video files that cause problems? So, I thought I tried a green screen image, and the error came again. Maybe it's the project file? Nope. I started a new publication and added in the video in the composition, added tried 1.2, Keylight effect by selecting the pipette and once more... it still gives me the error.
The problem is not video or image. It's the Keylight 1.2 pipette that is causing the error. I thought that, maybe, I need to update my laptop? Updated, still the same problem. The next thing I did was trying to find a way to solve this problem online. I noticed that there is an update for Adobe After Effects CS5 update 10.0.02. So, I updated to After Effects and restarted my laptop. When I went back in After Effects and still applied the same effect and when I tried selecting the eyedropper... gives me an error... once again.
I'm sorry if this sounds a little repetitive, but I wanted to be thorough in my explanation that I can try to find a solution to this problem. I really need this to work again because I'm working on a very important project. It's weird, the Keylight 1.2 never gave me any problems in the past. It works perfectly at the time. Let me guess, you use Yosemite or newer on your operating system?

If so, be aware that CS5.5 and earlier are not supported on this OS, so should have weird bugs.

That being said, go to your preferences and change the use System Color Picker setting and see if that helps.

After Effects CS5 stuck to the Windows 10 1511 homescreen

I had been using After Effects CS5 on Windows 10 smoothly for several weeks. A few days ago I have upgraded to Windows 10 version 1511 (a major update), and now when I launch After Effects, the splash screen is stuck at "Initializing MediaCore." It never makes it beyond that. I searched and tried all the troubleshooting methods that I could find. I have reinstalled QuickTime. I reinstalled After Effects. I've updated After Effects. I have reset and delete the Preferences folder. I have disabled the firewall. I rebooted. I went through the suggested troubleshooting steps.
Any suggestions or ideas on what could be the problem? On a perhaps related note, after I updated Windows 10, I had a very strange problem a few times: when I started in Windows, the music started to come out of the speakers. A little later, I heard static-y voice in speakers. It was like this by the blue, no Spotify or anything I know. My laptop picked up somehow radio waves? Was it a bizarre kind of spyware? I found the problem after watching Process Monitor from Microsoft. I had to uninstall Matrox codecs that I had installed quite earlier. I tried to uninstall/reinstall Quicktime, but failed to remove the Matrox codecs.

Yes, usable only between the same dynamic link versions products. You can complete rditing and export a first Pro CC and take it to After Effects for further editing, but dynamic linking is not possible in this case.
