• Navigation on the bridge of After effects

  I am learning effects and got to the "Classroom in a book" section, which deals with navigation in Bridge by clicking on "Browse in Bridge. I have the latest versions of the two After effects CC and CC Bridge installed. However, when I try to browse in Bridge of after effects bridge rises and I am able to navigate to the folder I want to (in this case text animations) but then bridge freezes solid or I could get a notice that After Effects does not recognize these files (extension .ffx) and the only way I can release a bridge is to use the force quit option. What's wrong?

  For the last several versions of AE and Bridge did not play very well together. If your CC applications are all up to date and you are still having problems, then your system has a bug, probably caused by some dirty text in one of the AE user library files. Personally I don't think it's worth a try and sort. You will find it much faster to just use the effects and presets Panel and read the descriptions of the presets, then test them in AE. I find that all of the preset animations provided with AE are just a convent of departure. I never used on any job without making some serious changes. I always use a small number of them as point of departure, but once figure you it out how animation of text work you be better off and work faster by applying only one of the presets is kind of what you want and then after pressing the button U twice to reveal all the changed the text layer properties You can play with the settings and even add multiple hosts to achieve the desired effects.

• Mocha 5 Pro and After Effects CC

  Hello.  I am entitled to a free upgrade to Mocha 5 Pro Plugin for After Effects version or Mocha 5 autonomous Pro.

  The standalone version is much greater than the plugin (about $1500 vs. $700) - but what support moka told me, the standalone version would not be much utility additional, unless you were in a big studio production or using python scripts - that would apply to me.  I'm just a solo user with master suite creative cloud.  I do use some programs 3d, but most of my recent work in After Effects / Premiere Pro.  And it seems that the plugin version would provide a more simplified workflow in this case [even though I think that could do all the same thing with the standalone version; but this could mean additional hoops got whenever I use, rather than using the plugin and still work within the After Effects interface]

  That would welcome ideas from more experienced users.  Thank you.

  The plug-in is very convenient, especially because it do not make something if you're dealing with incompatible formats. The stand alone has more features. I'd go for the plug-in probably still buy the stand alone, if I ever find a job where he save me money...

• Gray borders around white video in After Effects

  Hi, I'm doing hundreds of training films with a greenscreen who later gets a white background. This looks cool in white website, however, sometimes, the video have a gray border. In this case cpmpletely RANDOMLY. I know, because we produce them all in the same way... It seems that it is an Adobe Bug of some sorts. I really hope that someone can help you. It really is time to export the same video three or four times, just so that there be no gray the fourth time at the border. (To be clear: I do not use *.) PNG, or *. PSD or any key to chroma, just on a solid white After Effects). I know that this happens in Adobe Media Encoder as wel as in After Effects. Once again, quite randomly. For most borderless, but sometimes the border grey.

  

  

  UPDATE: the bug isn't in Adobe AE. I'm the bug. In some of the video I didn't put a solid white background, only a white background in the composition settings. When I placed a white soilid in this sequence, the grey line disappeared...

• "Connecting to Dynamic Link Server failed" when you pull a file After Effect by PremierePro

  Hey guys,.

  I'm putting a file After Effect in my first Pro.  I used to be able to bypass this by actually starting up After Effect and then the file could pull up.  However, after that I updated my Premiere Pro, I'm not having any luck.

  * I tried to update the program of the After Effect itself and its gives me an error:

  I think to re - install the software, but I want to do that as a last resort (I didn't need to do this kind of action before and a little uncomfortable about what I might lose - most of my After Effects files are on an external hard drive).

  Most of my learning and troubleshooting has been through YouTube except for the one time I came here with another problem (which is something to do with the limited capacity of my computer).

  In any case, suggestions from YouTube have not been successful.  All solutions?  Thank you very much!

• New in After Effects 13.8.1 - with audio shape layers!

  

  I just wanted to share a little funny bug. the shape layer has no audio effect applied, and he still has an audio setting. It don't bother me much, although the last thing I need when I'm manipulating shape layers is another rocking to watch in the timeline panel

  Here are the steps to reproduce the problem in my current workstation:

  1 import audio into your composition - in my example, it was the WAV format. but you can add a solid layer with audio tone effect.

  We have received reports from several users on another problem, which we have not been able to reproduce: by clicking on the layer switches (solo, lock, motion blur, etc.) sometimes unnecessarily vortices open the properties of a layer.

  It turns out that this problem is related to what you just posted on the redundant audio properties. The problem of the twirling property only occurs on these same layers.

  The bug occurs when you work in a model that has been composed before and this model contains a layer with audio, when you add a new layer to this model (any type of layer except the cameras or lights), if this layer should not have audio it will win the audio properties in any case. When you click on a layer switch (for example, solo, lock, a blur of movement, etc.) these layers with redundant audio properties will be automatically twirl open their properties.

  This bug started After Effects 13.8.0. There are still in 13.8.1. I have described it in our bugs database and ask so that it can be fixed in our next release.

  The twirling of the property problem can't for layers that have real audio. for example, with audio images, or a solid with the effect of the tone. This does not happen for the layers without audio created before the bug conditions occur (computer pre composed containing a layer with audio).

  I found a few solutions workaround for this problem.

  The simplest solution is to add the effect of audio signal to the affected layers and then disable audio (the switch icon small speaker) for these layers. The problem only occurs on the layers that have no audio, so the addition and then cut audio takes layers on the bad state.

  There is another, more cumbersome workaround that effectively eliminates the redundant audio properties:

  1. In the model problem, select all the layers having audio.
  2. Remove (temporarily, it gets canceled at step 5) these layers.
  3. Select all the remaining layers (or at least those with the redundant audio properties).
  4. Activate a switch layer for all selected layers, such as Solo or lock. Redundant audio properties will disappear.
  5. Cancel twice: once to cancel the toggling the layer switch and a 2nd time to undo the deletion of step 2.

  Redundant audio properties won't return after the cancellation. Unfortunately, this only solves the problem for existing layers. Adding new layers will still get the attached redundant audio properties.

  In any case, my thanks to you once again, Yang, to post the steps to repro the problem. That's the key for me to discover the cause of the problem, much more annoying.

  After the last update CC, I have a big problem. There is a problem of sound reproduction of the AE through the Media Encoder. When I export directly from AE everthing is fine but when I send the export files via dynamic links to the Media Encoder I get wrong its encoded at the last second of the clip. Curiosly there is a part of the track to another point on the same track in there. There is a sharp break and then in the last second you can hear just a random sound fragment (in this case a femal voice). It's hard to describe. • AFTER EFFECTS ERROR: INTERNAL VERIFICATION FAILURE, SORRY {NO CONTEXT}

  It appears on my after effects CC 2015.2, 13.7.1.6 product version! Put to day the most recent update, thinking he can fix but nope. Happens far when I use the Plugin BCC9 'LED '. Don't know what to do. Never had this error before today. Other BCC plugins work very well and some just work and then a few seconds later it will say my after effects has crashed, but the plugins worked perfectly fine before and all my other plugins work excellent as well with the exception of "Toon It" of the universe of Red Giant that there is simply nothing.

  It's probably a problem with the plugin and that is likely to do with the enormous changes of AE.

  As you may (or may not), AE CC 2015 is the first step in a major redesign of the architecture, separating the rendering engine from the user interface for the first time in the history of AE 20 + years. It is a big job (and it's clearly still ongoing). It is a necessary step to improve the performance of After Effects, but it takes awhile (and versions) for them to pass through it.

  Some of the plugins had to be rewritten to deal with the new architecture works. So if you don't use the latest version of the plugin, you'll want to download the latest installer, remove your old version and install a new one. If you don't have the latest version, you may need to upgrade.

  Alternatively, you can use an older version of AE. HOWEVER, don't go back to CS6. Install CC 2014 and see how the plugin works there (here's how to install older through the CC app versions). During this period of transition as the AE team sets up the elements of the new architecture, it is sometimes easier to use the old version to do a job. Many people bounce between CC 2014 and 2015 CC. (The project files are compatible between the two versions, by the way.) I do it because CC 2015 is not a replacement for multiprocessing yet, so I'll work in 2015 CC (to take advantage of the more lively interaction) and then I'll make in 2014 CC to use multiprocessing.

  In any case, if you have the latest installer, and it works always not in 2015 of CC, I'm sure that people of the ICC wants to know your problem (as would the AE team). So, if it does not work after trying the latest version, I would say that you produce with both of them bug reports. Here is the link to the Adobe bug report form.

  Finally, I was able to install the latest version after effects CC 2015.

  1. I restarted the Mac not in secure boot mode.

  2. I zipped the 'Adobe After Effects CC 2015' in the application to hide the installation routine

• After effects CC accident leads to first Pro CC Crash

  Major panic goes here...

  I was in the middle of a montage using first Pro CC 2015 and has decided to use After Effects to stabilize a clip... Still fails to load (crashes on loading MediaCore) and this in turn freezes first.  I use the Task Manager to close the two apps, then try to run that Premiere Pro but keeps locks even begin to load the usual elements that tend to see ((ExporterAVI, etc.))

  Tried to uninstall first using cloud creative but that no longer works!  He insisted I had the first running, but it was not...  THAT makes wonder if this was the cause behind it does not quite...  In any case, I've used the cleanup tool to remove the first and am currently download first Pro CC of the Cloud...

  While I hope it will work, is there a history of this debacle over there among the other sick CC?

• First Pro CC and older versions of After Effects
