  Kyle, I solved my problem with an other posts on this forum. It turned out to be the NVidia nView Desktop Manager applet in the control panel. It has been activated, and I believe that it has been activated for a long time. I don't know if something in a recent update of broke things, but as soon as I disabled the Desktop Manager, my dynamic link started working again in all aspects. Give it a try. Good luck.

  I want to set up some footage from first in the Media Encoder to render all night. Yet, every time I try and put a sequence in the Media Encoder it just sits and 'connection to dynamic link server... ". "for a few minutes until finally 'Dynamic Link Server could not' appear.

  Go into Control Panel and users and create a new admin. restart your system and log into the new account. Then try the dynamic link.

I'm able to import the sequence of Premiere Pro in After Effects using Dynamic Link, but I'll go back to Premiere Pro and nothing has changed. I then export the minute 21 long video in After Effects and which takes about 12 hours, I can't afford.   A lot of time and effort was exercised in an attempt to find out WHY. I wanted to not just fix the symptoms. It concerned me greatly as a basic function of the operating system does not work.   To cut a long story short, it's DivX 7.2 which caused me grief.  In particular, the file DivXDecH264.ax 'has an access violation - code C0000005 (first chance).  It has been autonomous in DivX Plus DirectShow Filters.     Thus, when it has been deleted (starting other Articles to original install DivX) through Control Panel of configuration/programs and features my system worked perfectly well.

  Use the new Document profiles in HD > Users > (yourname) (Mac) > library > Application Support > Adobe > Adobe Illustrator CS3 > new Document profiles. For CS4 add en_US before new Document profiles. Open the one you use the most. Open libraries that you want to appear and each Panel dialog box persist. Save the file and restart HAVE. Choose file > new and the new document should have these libraries available.
