• Older version of After Effects to open old file?

  I have tons of projects at the end of 6 effects.  One of the reasons why I joined Adobe cloud was because I want to update to os x, Mountain Lion and AE6 does not work on ML.  I just tried to open one of my old projects and get the error message "this file was created with an older version of After Effects [6.0(Macintosh PPC)] and cannot be opened.  You can convert this file using an older version of After Effects and re-record. "Well, I don't have access to my copy of AE6, is it possible through the cloud to Adobe to get a version of After Effects that will open these files, so I can up-conversion it?  Or any other method to get these files to open in the most recent version of the AE?  Re-building is not really an option, these are projects that are years and are continually updated with the text.

  Make sure that you follow the Instructions very Important on this page first otherwise the links do not work.

  You can no longer buy After Effects CS4 and it's certainly not available for free even if it's a replaced version. So, you will get only 30 days out of it.

• Rough Cut created as a prelude with transitions, sent to first Pro works then, using 'replace with After Effects comp', loses the transitions. Why?

  With the help of Creative Cloud 2015 apps exclusively on a 64-bit win 8.1 Pro Gigabyte MB 8 core AMD pcu with 16 GB of ram and nVidia GeForce 8800 GTX graphics card. I deleted all the cache and restarted.

  Created a simple Rough Cut in prelude routinely using H.264 in mp4 video and still photos from format of (via Media Encoder) components ingested in prelude ~

  Rough Cut, composed of a sequence of 1 always followed by 4 x 3 second mp4 followed by another still followed by 4 more 3 second MP4, total length of 30 seconds.

  Together, then the default prelude "Cross dissolve" transition between each item in the first edit.

  Successfully sent this first edit in Premiere Pro using the menu option integrated prelude - send to first.

  Works like a charm in Premiere Pro, including cross-fade transitions.

  HOWEVER, now, in Premiere Pro, have not been able to use then 'Replace with After Effects' option under ' Dynamic Link ~ option is grayed out, regardless of how I select the element/sequence to replace. "

  1. How can I get the Adobe Dynamic Link to function when it is grayed out in the choice of Menu file?
  2. How to make the right click option 'replace with After Effects' to send the sequence in After Effects without changing its infrastructure, as described above?

  I await with confidence to find someone here who knows what I'm doing well wrung out! and who can show me the error of my ways. TIA. /PSB

  First transitions don't come in After Effects. They never have. Your workflow is not compatible with dynamic link. You should use AE to create shots and then change these shots in Premiere Pro. Trying to bring in a sequence which was finalized with effects and transitions is a losing proposition and not recommended.

  Are you a member of Cloud? If so, login to your account to cloud and click on After Effects.

  On the page of After Effects, select CS6 in the menu dropdown and download CS6.

  Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to install older versions of programs like After Effects. I know there is a way to keep intact your old installation of After Effects, but I was wondering if I could do a full downgrade? I use After Effects cc2015 but I would like to start using CS6.

• I have to be able to take my first elements project and put it in after effects.

  The only way out first 11 elements is through export to video format (with the exception of JPEG files or audio under publish + share/computer science/Image or audio).

  The video is all, not in a project file (project.prel).

  And the first elements 11 project.prel doesn't seem to be an After Effects project format supported

  You have both CC and installed CC2014, you sure you open the appropriate program? Often a desktop shortcut always related to the older version of CC and not CC 2014

  I've been using the last verisions and upgrades were OK. I recently allowed my computer upgraded to Windows 10, all right. Organization worked OK, until the update of the week last in the latest version. the first project that I opened was to be converted (normal), but all media is pending, including in the media browser.

  No media has been moved.

  I found the menu to clean the cache, Edit > preferences > Media, Media Cache database and click on clean up. Who did nothing immediately, so I stop the program and restarted.

  In the latest version of the CC of the BODY, to import a. SRT will be the file be interpreted as a 708 1 file captioning service. If the value your monitors (via icon wench) CEA - 708, Service 1.

  Body CS 6.0 does not support SRT files.
