  I have a table of contents with titles and descriptions that spans 4 lines, and I need to add a page number at the end of the last line with the first point, BUT keep left and right text margins justified and the number outside this range.

  See the picture I have attached so it is easier to understand what I'm after.  I need the 4 should be harmonized where is the tab stop.

  

  Is this possible?  This works well in the work (set up exactly like that) but I can't make it work in ID5.

  I have a really hard time with tabs today.

  I have created a simple table of contents for a brochure and want to have a list with the page numbers, followed by the description of the page. (see attached image).

  

  I want to have the right alignment numbers and descriptions of the left page. I know how to do this with numbered lists, but who will not allow me to enter my own numbers. I just want to do it manually with tabs. I would also like to avoid using a table (which will be my last resort).

  Any help would be much appreciated.

  Without going into the tables of characteristics content,... Character Styles and paragraph Styles everything that could help with this, here's how to do it simply and manually.

  Set your type with a tab before and after page numbers (see screenshot below)

  Select all of your text

  Open the tab panel

  Click the rule of the tab panel where you want the page number and chat text align to. This will outline the tab for each job stops.

  Select the tab stop for the page numbers, and then click the icon on the right alignment tab in the tab of the Panel (see screenshot)

  Things should now be harmonised.

  

  You can also set the tabs in a paragraph style. You can use a style nested charater to get text in bold on the numbers. You can use the features of the Table of contents automatically to look for some tagged styles in your document and create a table of contents for you.

  Hallo,

  I have a problem with the tab stops. Can I put a tab with the mouse in the rule, but I can create one in the format window (or rather paragraph-formatting) tab-. After the entrance to the Properties tab and clicking 'Continue' the window closes just and no tab is created. Existing tabs can be changed either.

  Its the German version of FrameMaker 9 Windows.

  You have patched your version to the latest version (FM 9.0p250, a.k.a FM 9.0.3)?

  There are some odd interactions with parameters and rule of tab stops and the designer of paragraph in FM9. If you detach the designer of the paragraph on the panels on the side, it tends to behave a little more (but this isn't totally reliable).

  Another problem reported by Shlomo Perets (see: http://forums.adobe.com/message/2738532#2738532 ) suggests that if you set the designer of paragraph to the tab 'Base' everything first and only then adjust the tabs on the rule, it should behave.

  TAB through the fields that exist. It is the function of the TAB.

  Otherwise you could never use TAB to go out in a field for example: subject. It would create an indefinate number of fields and are unable to function as a TAB key.

  TAB does not back to THE fields,

  I noticed a similar freeze on my laptop. For the most part, it happened because the background process has not closed, and so the laptop could not force the closure downwards. In my case it was an adobe acrobat reader software that could not close.

  I think you should you HDD defragment and use the freeware CCleaner application.
  This program cleans the program errors and corrects registry entries.

  Try it! Maybe it s not a serious problem!

  Hi there, click paragraph, and then you will see the tabs button to set tab stops (for that paragraph, or for all of them, according to what has been highlighted / selected before you clicked on it).

  FM2015 using publish on reactive HTML5: I am creating the output that is programming code, spaces and characters must therefore fixed-width. Any suggestions on the best way to do it?

  I created a simple test FM doc that contains a fixed text that is supposed to be programming code. GGX

  

  I created a paragraph format named "source Code" and applied to the programming of text. It uses a monospace font "Consolas" tab stop and chaque.5 thumb. Note the tab stops used in the source code for indentation.

  In the publishing settings, I traced the paragraph format "source Code" to the HTML tag "PRE".

  Why is that in there? Why should I use inline style to substitute for the family of fonts and size? How the tabs supposed to be handled in the output of the edition?

  Ideally it would simply omit the redundant span and released a number of white spaces using the . Is there a way to control this?

  Thanks for reporting this.

  I think you have essentially two questions:

  1. why the period corresponding to several?

  HTML doesn't have a tab stop equivalent characters, can be achieved either through hard space or use margin instead, space FM currently use to replace tabs in the document of the FM. Even though we have plans to improve something that can be controlled by CSS. Another way might be that we can simply use styles/formats with margin.

  2. why font family is coming in the output as inline style?

  In the case of replacements of format, FM generate as a style inline in output to get design look. If you remove substitutions of document FM format, it will go away.

• v13.0.3.495 - cannot change the tab stops in the paragraph Designer

  Don't know whether or not it was a problem in recent versions (haven't adjusted the tab stops in a while).

  I have a paragraph format with:

  -First = 0.25 "

  GCH - 0.5 "

  -Tab stop = 0.375 "L

  I tried to change the tab stop on a 0.5 "W, went into the designer of paragraph, under the direction of tab stops, changed the value, you click on continue.

  Paragraph designer reappeared, stop tab value appeared as 0.5 "L for a while, and then returned to 0.375".

  No idea why this is happening or how to fix?

  I had almost the same problem (also FM 13.03.495) a few weeks ago. I tried to change a tab stop from left to right, aligned. If I remember correctly, I clicked on apply in the paragraph Designer, and then the tab stop setting is returned to its original state.

  I have not noticed that in a single file. Since I couldn't reproduce this with other files, I ignored this problem. I think I've changed this tab stop in another file and copy the paragraph format in the problematic file.

• I want to add tab stops to the cross-reference format to make my OCD, a solution of a single click, but the format never comes out right and using the tab key in the window of the dialog box to move the cursor to the next window.

  When you try to format my references I would add tab stops so that the format for the TOC works with the cross reference.  For example my format on the pages of reference is

  < $chapnum > - < $paranumonly > < $paratext > < $chapnum > - < $pagenum >

  With tab stops before the chapnum, between paranumonly and paratext and the next chapnum.  If the final result should look like

  4-16 speed vertical digital - primary Mode... 4-28

  Help?

  In the reference page, add a \t where you want a tab to be, i.e. \t<$chapnum>-<$paranumonly><$paratext>\t \t<$chapnum>-<$pagenum>

  Then, make sure that the format of paratag has the tabs tab placed at the correct locations.

  When you re - generate the table of contents, you should get the desired effect.
