After reinstalling software, access denied

Hi all

I am writing because the people of support ShareFile has said that it is a permissions problem with Windows, even if I am incredulous.

I downloaded ShareFile Enterprise Sync Manager and it worked perfectly. Then I had to uninstall and reinstall. When I tried to run it after reinstalling, it is charged, but was clearly not a clean reinstall as my sync jobs and the connection info were still there. And nothing has worked. I would try to run the sync and nothing. No error message, no synchronization, no sign of existence in the newspaper. By ShareFile support I uninstalled again, with Adobe Air, this time as the deletion of temporary folders, which they named. I rebooted and reinstalled the Sync Manager and Adobe Air. Even lead - non-clean reinstall, loads but does not work. When done a screen sharing and verified support Manager tasks when you try to run the synchronization, he says that the service has been stopped. When tried to start the Task Manager service, he gave the message "unable to start the service. Operation could not be performed. Access is denied. "He tried as an administrator. We went to the Administrator profile. We checked the ShareFile credentials (which I am Director.) He sought more hidden data. Nothing has changed. It still loads but does not work and in Manager tasks indicates that access is denied.

At this stage, the person said ShareFile is not their problem, it is the problem of Microsoft. It is essential for me that this tool works.

I run this Service Pack 1, Windows 7 Home Premium 32 - bit, Dell Vostro 1014. Any ideas would be extremely welcomed. Thank you!

Thank you amiroof,

I installed it on the c drive.

I have not touched all your suggestions yet, but I downloaded CCleaner and made little cleaning, including the registry. But when I reinstalled, I had the same thing.

will try the other suggestions. I'm curious - 2 people seem to have this issue. I wonder if he specifically had to do with the timing of the company.

Try to start your system from a "Live Linux" CD free.  This CD runs a version of Linux without installing anything on your hard drive.  To create the CD, you download a file ".iso" and feature "Burn Image" of your CD burner to create a bootable CD.  The advantage, that you win, is that Linux is a lot less strict with permissions, so you should be able to access your files and copy them to a USB device.  Some Linux Live CD are:
    Knoppix: <> http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html >
    Ubuntu: <> http://www.ubuntu.com/download/help/try-ubuntu-before-you-install >
Ubuntu is actually an installation disc, so be very careful to follow the 'Try Me' instructions so that don't accidentally install you it on your hard drive.

An another boot CD, you might try is "Hiren".  It is in fact a version of "First environment" of Windows XP, so you could get access to some files that you would otherwise not not when starting on this disc.

  • Restore access to My Documents after reinstalling XP, I get the message: 'access denied '.

Original title: restore access to My Documents after reinstalling XP

Recently, I acquired a virus with which Microsoft Security Essentials could not cope.  Then one day the computer refused to start.  I wrongly assumed that my hard drive was dead, so I installed a new HD and reinstalled Windows XP.  [Actually, I first tried the upgrade to Windows 7, because program upgrade windows 7 Microsoft has already said that my computer was compatible... but Windows 7 disk says otherwise!]  Then I tried to install the HD original in an another drive Bay and discovered it still worked, but I could not boot from it.  Apparently, the virus has killed the OS (Windows XP) but my files, programs and documents are still there.  The problem is that when I try to access my old "My Documents" folder, I get the message: 'access denied '.  I believe that this is because the files are stored in a password protected user account.  I know the password, but I do not know how to access the files.

I tried to create a user account on my new HD (with the operating system Windows XP reinstalled) with the same name and the password that I used on my original (with the Windows operating system XP corrupted) HD to create all the document files.  However, opening a session with this account name and password did NOT restore my access to the My Documents folder on my original hard drive.

I'm out of ideas.  Help, please!

    LMV,

I hope that you do not have too much of your own data personal on the computer yet, because if you used I would suggest that you reinstall the operating system to solve these problems.

Go to http://partsurfer.hp.com and enter your name/product number in the search field. The results that arise should include a restore CD that you can order to perform the reinstallation. Yet once, please make sure to save any personal data that you have put on the computer before attempting this.

  • Access denied message to scan and a program after running disk check

Original title: chkdisk found bad sectors on my hard drive and seemed to move them, but now I have deinied for my scanner and a program so far. How can I fix it

I cnt day Quicken or use my scanner. I get "access denied".

    Hi rosiemate,

To check if the following is useful.

    Method 1:

Step 1: Disable Zone Alarm temporarily and see if you still have access denied message. If there is no error, you may need to look in the settings of the program.

Note:  Check that you activate your anti-virus protection on the computer back after you complete these steps. It is not recommended to disable these settings on the computer. It's just to solve the problem.

Step 2: As you can see the files unusable for Quicken, you can follow this article to check the issue.

Alternatively, you can consult this article.

It may also be a possibility of a corrupted user account.

    Method 2:

Step 1: Create a new user profile to test the issue. See the "create a new user profile on the computer working group" section of this article.

Step 2: If the problem does not occur, follow the "copy files to the new user profile" in this article.

    I hope this helps.

  • IE "access denied" after receiving and clean a virus.

I had a virus on my computer.  I don't have an anti-virus program in time.  I have charge and managed to get rid of the virus.  So, when I surf the web it will be usually go to view and then immediately switch to "access denied" something on my computer identified as previously containing a virus and protection of users.  Any ideas?

    bearcatrpc68,
Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.  There are a few pieces of information we could use to help you.

What internet browser do you use?  If it's IE what version is it?
You have a secondary browser, and if yes it does the same thing?
Can you tell which generated the message?  It doesn't seem to be your antivirus software?

If the message appears to come from your antivirus software, then you can disable it and test your internet browsing.

Some virus\malware can cause this kind of problem.  You should check that your antivirus software also checks the malware (many don't).  If it isn't then you need get an anti-malware program and scan your PC. Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

  • Can't access the c: drive, error 'access denied '. Problems began after refresh of Windows 8

Original title: problems after update of windows 8

    Hello

I have windows 8 sony vaio laptop

day before yesterday I had an error at startup of windows saying CRITICAL_SYSTEM_DIED. I ran windows update since the auto repair could not help me.

After that I am not able to use my c: drive, it says access denied. It seems that I hv has lost control over my account. It's always an administrator account, but I am not able to use it as an administrator.

    Please help quickly. Urgent!

    Hi Angel,

For a better understanding of the issue, I would need more information on your side.

1 having you only access c: drive?

    2. What is the full error message?

This problem could occur due to these reasons.

    1. Because of permission problem.
    2. Corrupt system files.

Try the steps listed here and see if it helps.

    Method 1:
I suggest to run the (SFC) System File Checker tool and check if this solves the problem. SFC scan would be a system file corrupt on the computer search and replace.

How to use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows:

    Method 2:
I suggest you try the steps in the section 1st: I get an "Access denied" error message when accessing or working with files and folders in the article and see if that can help.
"Access denied" or other errors in the access to or work with files and folders in Windows
