  @WAWood is right: we cannot debug your security software.

  All things being equal - if you can't find something substantive, check / consider:

  Find your software Trend services > right click on the program / service > properties >

  If it is available for this program, set the update automatic "Delayed."

  In some cases, delay the start of the security software can give other essential Windows services a chance to start and "go" before security settings stomp on them.

  This continues a question Nov 16 initially answered by SureshI and then merged by SyedV on November 26. I followed the steps all the recommended and the problem persists. Reminder, the warning does not appear in safe mode, but it does after the running File Checker, and it does after a clean boot. I don't know what you think it should tell me.

  In the event viewer I determined that 2 system errors are occurring at the time of the application in pop - up (i.e. the warning), one of them exactly at the same time. They had to do with services that have not started. I disabled these services, no effect on the appearance of the warning. Background on the application in pop information - up suggests that it may have to with a driver that is not available. I did a driver scan and see nothing that would cause the message.

  I noticed that two application errors also occur at startup, but these come about five minutes after the application pop up, so I guess they aren't relevant.

  Problem is now solved. The point of the error of HP Cue device detection was the key. The deactivation of the service did not help, but uninstall ALL HP software that I could find (and HP's pushy!) and then reinstalling the popup eliminated printing software.

  I didn't trend and have never tested, so I can't say with certainty that their list of possibly conflicting software is preventing you installation trend, but it shouldn't take too long to remove all other scanners time real AV/Malware in article of trend and see. If the worst comes to the worst, you can always reinstall.

  You must have an AV program installed and running on a PC. On-Demand Scanner like free Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is OK as backup on demand scanners.   I have Windows XP SP3 installed on my laptop.  Have tried to install Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security again with installation is not due to an error.  The error code is 0, 1004, 0 x 000, which refers to Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable.  Trend Micro recommendation is to remove Visual C++ via Add/Remove Programs, but when I try to do it won't allow me because "the source disk is not available. I guess the thinking is that the Visual C++ file is corrupted somehow and needs to be reinstalled, but if I can't get rid of the old, used to install a new.  Help!  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
