• Firefox will not load Java on Linux - even after following all the instructions on the net I can find - what am I doing wrong?

  The problem I have is that I am running Puppy Linux on my laptop.

  Now, I have tried everything I can to get Java works under Firefox, chrome, or Seamonkey (I have all three browsers on my computer).

  For firefox and seamonkey, I tried the following-

  Downloaded the tar.gz for java file
  he unzipped in/opt/java
  went to/user/lib/mozilla/plugins and run the command
  ln-s/opt/java/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so
  to create the symbolic link to the plugin
  check that the plugin is executable (in fact even tried to give all full read/write permission and run it)

  For chrome does the same thing but put the symbolic link in the/usr/lib/chromium-linux/plugins folder instead.

  Restart the web browser, even tried to restart the X server where the browser runs somewhere in the background.

  All three browsers can pick up all other .so plugins in this folder except Java.

  When I click on check plugins on firefox I access the page on 'Missing Java? -For your safety, Firefox has disabled your outdated version of Java. Please install the latest version.

  However, the version I downloaded is Version 7 9 update that is exactly the same as that which is available under the latest version of Java is (it was only downloaded from this link a few minutes before, I even tried to re - download just in case there was an update in 5 minutes).

  If I go to the Java folder and run the control panel of the Java Control Panel appears, and he knows where Java is installed and everything.

  libjavaplugin_oji.so is the classic Java plugin.
  
  You need the libnpjp2.so of next generation plugin (for examplejava/lib/i386/libnpjp2.so) for current browsers.

  Other forums not to show the images and buttons etc to answer.

  I am rebuilding my site to be HTML5 and I had all the Flash stuff works perfectly, where it is placed on the z-index:-2. However, after the Flash Player on my Mac 11.6.602.167 update, he's not less than-1, so it's getting placed above other content. With JavaScript disabled, the < img > No Flash appears in the correct z-index and I triple checked to make sure that the values line up logically.   To distribute my BlackBerry live app (OTA) in the past, I would pack my main application, MyApp, and package a linked library application, MyLibrary, containing the main application resources separately.  I then copy the JAD/COD in demand for library files in the same directory as the JAD/COD of the main application files and run UpdateJad.exe on MyApp.jad and MyLibrary.jad.  At this point, I would download all the files on my web server (with the correct .htaccess file) and I could download my application on devices without problem.

  It was some time ago (one or two years).  Now, I'm updating my app and try to do it again.  However, I noticed that when I have my main application, Eclipse generates files JAD/COD for BOTH the application of the library AND the main application in the same directory of the main project of the application (deliverables > Web > 7.1.0).)  I don't think what happened in the past.  This directory contains now:

  • COD for MyApp files
  • Files of COD to MyLibrary
  • MyApp.jad
  • MyLibrary.jad
  • MyApp_full.jad (I don't remember this being produced in the past, either)

  Now, I tried to download my application in several ways, and each way gives an invalid "907 COD: error

  • Download the generated directory-is (and trying to download MyApp.jad AND MyApp_full.jad)
  • UpdateJad.exe running on MyApp.jad and MyLibrary.jad
  • UpdateJad.exe running on MyApp_full.jad and MyLibrary.jad
  • Only copies files from the generated directory MyApp and combining them into a new directory with the generated files to the separate project MyLibrary, packed (and UpdateJad.exe running on MyApp.jad and MyLibrary.jad)
  • etc... I tried practically all combinations.

  But nothing works!  However, if I install the application via MyApp.alx via BlackBerry Desktop Manager, it works.  Anyone know what could be going on here?

  I think I solved the problem.  I realized that I had problems downloading files on my Web server over the last two days with my standard FTP clients.  Once I downloaded the JAD/COD files to another web server, the download and the installation worked without problem (using MyApp_full.jad).

  Finally, I downloaded and installed the latest driver for my graphics card. As it has been installed the drivers, the color came back on. When he did the installation of the drivers and tried to restart the computer, everything is black and white again.

  So I restarted the computer, and has obtained the connection - color was on. I have connect and see that the Office had the color, and then after like 2 seconds, he returned black and white.

• I can't get Flash 11.3 to work after trying all the workaround solutions, including the installation of the earlier version.

  I'm more frustrated by this Flash show. I use Windows 7 with a 64-bit processor. the computer has two users, the administrator, and myself. When 11.3 updated Flash Player, I noticed that I couldn't use Flash in all cases with Firefox, not only videos. I have disabled the plugin in real time on my account and the administrator account (I have admin access; that is, I have his password so I can make changes on my account when the dialog box appears, or I can connect as long as him and make changes).

  I went to the workaround and downloaded the uninstaller and got the archived 11.202 version.  I was able to uninstall and install the archived version on my account, but when he signs in to his account, Flash doesn't work. I run Firefox on my account and he runs IE 8 on his account. We both have all of our passwords stored in our respective browsers, so me using IE or him using Firefox until this is sorted out is out of the question.  What appears to be happening is when I install the archived 11.202 on my account, it doesn't work for IE 8 on his account but when I sign into the administrator account and uninstall and reinstall the 11.202 it doesn't show up on my account.  Right now, we have reverted to 11.3 so that Flash works for him but I not only cannot see videos, I cannot use any instance of Flash on my account. When is Adobe either going to ship a fix that works with Firefox or barring that, how can I get the archived 11.202 installed so that it works on both accounts, with Firefox and IE8?
