After upgrading to 7.6.100.0 user cannot connect wireless

We have a 5508 internal controller that has two SSID on it.  A SSID secured which uses an ACS server to authenticate users through AD and a guest SSID on the tunnels to an anchor DMZ 5508 controller.  Guest users have no problems.  We have improved our controllers to 7.6.100.0 about 3 weeks ago.  Since then, we have had a problem with the path of data, as the controller of the anchor is down and came only after the internal controller is restarted.  It was the 1st issue.  In recent days, I had users from across the country say that they are unable to connect to our secure network.  All users have Win7 machines.  All they see is the sign of performance of yell, on their Wi - Fi connection.  In the network and sharing Center, they see the wireless network, listed as an unidentified network (public network).  GBA, users are authenticate with no problem (I can see it in the journals of the ACS), and they receive an IP address.  However, they have absolutely no connectivity.  I have them try to ping the default gateway, subnet on which they are assigned, and he returned with the request timed out.  Of course, they are unable to access internet, or anything, because they have no connectivity to their front door.  I restarted the internal controller (thinking that there must be a deadlock, as the anchor of path of data issue) that did not work, I have blown away the SSID and recreated.  That did not work.  I even restarted the ACS, although it was not a problem.  It seems that all users who are connected before the show and have no stop of their PCs, are ok.  Users who have closed or withdrew their computer, secure wireless network profile, can no longer connect.  They get just that the network is not identified.  I do know that if there was any sort of update Win7, or some other grow, but I assure you that from the point of view WLC, no problem.  Thanks for any help!

There is an open with v7.6 and of 3600 and 3700's question.  Users are in the executing State, but they lose the layer 2 connectivity.  Ther will soon be a patch out of the public for issues with the 3700's, which affects customers who are on the 5 ghz only.  With the 3600 problem seems to be with 5 GHz and 2.4 ghz but with 802.11n not customers.  It is what I tested and what Cisco has been able to replicate.  If you do not need to be on v7.6, unless you have the 3700's, I suggest you go to v7.4.121.0 or v7.5, if you need help for the 3600 module 802.11ac.

  • ESXi 5 - added user cannot connect ssh

    I am lost in the vast amount of documents and have not found anything that, covering thus pointers to docs command-line ESXi will be very appreciated...

    I added a user (with password) on a host machine ESXi 5.0.0 made the new user member of the users group and granted access the user's shell. I have double-double-checked access password and shell setting, but trying to connect to the host fails: login just repeat the password, and then closes the connection.  After logging in as root, I can su to the new user (password is not required). Am I misunderstanding something, maybe added users can not connect?  Or have I just missed some setting somewhere?

    You must add the new user to the root group in order to ssh. That opens a lot of other security issues as well. As an alternative, you can also change the following files to add a user ssh:

    /etc/security/access.conf

    Add a line that allows your user. For example, for the "bot" user add the following before the last line (-:ALL:ALL) in the file):

    +: bot: ALL

    Edit the following file:

    / etc/passwd

    Find your username in the line add a base directory, the works/tmp and then change their interpreter/bin/Ash. For the "bot" user you have a line like:

    BOT: x: 501:100:ESXi user: / tmp: / bin/ash

    You should now be able to ssh in the host by using your user name. The problem is that these files do not have the sticky bit set, so once you restart changes will disappear. You can change this behavior to have your settings persist, but I'll be here all day describing the process. You can probably find a good ventilation of the how to make your setting persist on vm-help forums.

  • After the Server 5.1.5 upgrade network user cannot connect by most workstations

    Hi all

    Intro

    I upgraded one of my client of 10.6.8 Xserve server at El Capitan / app 5.1.5 server.

    The server is configured with the network homefolders and mobile homefolders. We also use PCS. The 10.6.8 configuration has worked perfectly and still doesn't work. But now it is time to move on.

    The upgrade process from was relatively smooth. I had to configure the interface network again, then check DNS (front / back) and I also had to re - install the SharePoint, including network sharepoint (via AFP) houses.

    Problem:

    Then, I started to test the connection as users of the network on client computers. I found that it was not possible to connect from most client computers.

    After entering the login credentials was refused immediately. As is the case when entering the incorrect credentials.

    On client computers, nothing has changed.

    Client computers running Yosemite 10.10.5 and some are running 10.6.8

    As soon as I reboot the Xserve 10.6.8 original that's all is back to normal.

    What does not work:

    Those who connect has worked well:

    • Mobile sync (on Unassigned Computers)

    • Log is as user network at home (on Unassigned Computers)

    • PCS worked fine. New settings have been made correctly. On all computers.

    • Automatically install some actions has worked well on all computers. It is a local administrator on the client computers. When connecting to the account, the network shares are mounted using PCS.

    • Resolution of the DNS of all client computers

    • DHCP works OK

    • Client computers running 10.6.8 seem to be not affected.

    At one point one of the workstations involved that did not work, started working.

    What I tried and not solve the problem:

    • Renew DHCP client

    • Removed liaison OD and put in place again

    • Trashed records managed preferences (these have been re-created correctly)

    Ideas on possible causes:

    The most logical causes of this behavior might be:

    (1) client computer cannot find the master OD.

    (2) the powers of negotiation fails.

    Since the Division of the OPPOSITION binding work, works PCS etc., the client computer is the master of the OD.

    The latter seems the cause more lickely. Ticketviewer does not show tickets. Ticketviewer by using the credentials of a user of OD manually requesting a TGT works very well.

    All advice is appreciated.

    Hi Nico,

    Maybe the problem is related to the AFP. Have you tried disabling AFP in Systempreferences and delete all shares. After this restart AFP and try to add shares again. Have a look at the access privileges. It is urgent to remove and re-add the userfolders on the server share.

    No, you're wrong on both points. Named users have nothing to do with sessions. They have to do with people.

    If you have 5 named users, these 5 people can create as many sessions as they wish.

    You cannot use connection pooling to work around - if you have 100 people, you have 100 people, no matter how you pool/multiplex connections

  • After that updated today (13/12/14) firefox cannot connect at all anywhere (IE works fine) - firefox reset, reset from the PC and the removal of the extensions all did not help

    To update Firefox - now, it does not connect what either. I have RESET firefox, restarted the PC, disabled all extensions, and changed the proxy for any proxy settings. IE works fine.

    dbernarducci Hello, normally these problems are caused by a security/firewall software which does not recognize and therefore blocks the new versions of firefox. If please delete all the rules of the program for firefox to your firewall and let it detect the new version of the browser again.

    The user came this morning and found that it could not connect to the file (El Cap 10.11.1) server, he told her that his password was incorrect. No changes were made on his iMac (10.11.4) or on the server. All services will stop working... messages, calendar, etc.

    My Assistant tried reseting password, creates a user fresh on the server with the same permissions... he couldn't connect since mac.

    I tried his letters of credence on my Mac and can connect successfully... then he I thought that the server must be blocking by MAC address.

    I went in the console logs, and that's what I found (shown below).

    So I think I have to trash com.apple.NetworkAuthenticationHelper and force his mac to require that the appropriate credentials... but maybe I don't see something.

    Any ideas?

    Do you have system preferences > users and groups > Login Options set up like that?  You should.

    I have an Acer aspire 5740G, running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.
    My problem has been raised in the other forums before - none of their solutions helped me.
    I can't open a session limited on my computer - only administrator accounts - accounts those limited simply disconnect on the back then to the right.
    This started 2 months ago - I'm not sure of this - but before that it worked very well for a long time.
    I tried the registry fix from the userinit which help researchers; It did not help me (I have read carefully and follow the instructions).
    The problem happening exactly the same thing in safe mode. The computer and accounts are not connected at all; all local.
    All administrator accounts log on to the good; and even if I delete and make new limited accounts they will not open a session.
    I don't think I installed all the programs are the cause, but it is possible.

    I tried to make an account 'power user' - and it worked! A power user is basically a limited user, just with a little better privilege - pretty much an account limited.

    Jabber users who were configured manually on the TMS can sign in successfully.

    Connection between TMS and AD is ok and import AD users successfully.

    What should be the correct configuration on the authentication policy control VCS?
