  • Disc lost for Age of Empires 3

I bought legally your game, Age of Empires Gold Edition 3, about a year ago. I sincerely enjoyed until The Warchiefs expansion disc was lost in a recent move. Is there a way I can download the files needed to install it?

    Thank you

Your best option would be to communicate directly with the site of the game.

The only available option, I am aware, is to buy another copy. I'm not a representative or employee of Microsoft. The game is reasonably priced at around $30.

  • Age of Empires (collectors edition) nothing that appears when the disc inserted.

    Age of empires (collectors edition).
nothing seems to be appearing when I insert the disc
and I know not weather am I ment to happen something to download, a Web site or document? Help, please!

You seem to have active AutoRun.  Click the start ORB, then type in AutoRun and press ENTER.

A new box should appear, select the line of software and games, and use the drop-down list to select installation or execution of the program.  Click Save.

Press the tab open on the DVD/CD drive and then close it (with your disk of Age of Empires, always in the drive)... now the installation option should appear.

    Enjoy the game!

  • Where can I get replacement CD keys for Age of Empires and the expansion packs? I have all CD and original except the keys. They were inadvertently discarded.

I recently had to reinstall my PC.  Unfortunately, I lost the keys to my series complete collection DVD of Age of Empires III.

I have all original packaging and discs, but miss me the installation key.  How can I get replacement keys?
    Thank you!

You would have to buy it again.  The key is what you pay in the software, the disks are free, so to speak.  It is because this software is licensed, not sold.  The key is the proof that you are authorized to use the software.

If you have your proof of purchase (receipt or credit card statement), you can probably go back to the store you bought originally and get free replacement. Policies very well store.

  • I can't get Age of Empires III to install on my Vista Ultimate 64 system!

I tried to install several times without success.  I don't even get an error message!  The installation box runs through the routine of preparation and then closes without any report either.

I did some research and found quite a long thread on this forum since 2009 by a person called Summerbreeze who seemed to have a similar problem.  After several posts back the thread died suddenly without any apparent resolution.  Apparently, it is possible to get this game to work on Vista because I keep seeing questions and reports on various hardware issues with Vista users.

I am running Vista Ultimate 64, SP2, on a workstation Intel S5000VXNSATA that has two processors dual core Xeon 5130 and 4 GB of RAM.  My video configuration is a dual monitor connected to a graphics NVIDIA Quadro FX 3450/4000 SDI card that carries the 256 MB of RAM on board.  I have 2 hard drives of 160 GB configured in RAID 0, but I have only about 50 free BM for the moment.  I am currently compressing readers in an attempt to free up space.

Any of my equipment from the list of incompatibility and I certainly sufficient power to run this thing, then why the problems?

    Thank you

    J

  • Try to uninstall Age of Empires 2

I got Age of Empires 2 and expansion of conquerors installed for some time and have been able to play for a long time without problem. Recently, however, the game has stopped working at all, and nothing I don't work. The only thing it does is when I run the disc start menu appears, but if I try to play it, it blocks gives me the message "A" stopped working
Upset, I have re-installed the two parts of the game a few times without success. When I tried to completely uninstall the game, I noticed that there are still some program files on my hard drive. I tried to remove them, but the computer wouldn't let me, saying: I didn't have permission (and I'm administering it).
I also scanned all of these files, disks and all computer viruses, but haven't found anything. I'd appreciate any help, as I am at a lost what to do...

Take possession of the file and delete it:

  • Age of Empires II Age of Kings not completely installed

I had to reformat my hard drive and installed Windows XP with service pack 3. It is the same operating system installed on the machine.  I installed Age of Mythology, with no problems, but when you try to install Age of Empires, the installation starts, but then crashes during the installation of the files. I tried with 3 different Age Empire, II, Age of the King disc and they all freeze-up during file transfer.  Help!

I'm sory to say this, but I think you are trying to INSTALL these games... all in GOOD ORDER!

"Age of Mythology" has never been the a 1 exit.

Remove it and re-install all... in their order.

This is what is causing the 'big freeze '!

  • Age of Empires II

When I insert my disc in my cd on laptop drive, he goes to the Media Player and plays the songs, I have this disc of the collector's Edition and downloaded because the icon is on the desktop, but when I click the icon it goes again to Media Player for songs. I also did run when inserting on the control panel and I also changed to wonder at each insertion, but it always goes to the media player. What I need to do to make sure it has downloaded, because, he also gave me a code to use when contacting Microsoft, it doesn't say it is downloaded correctly?

    Hello

O that happens only with the disk of Age of Empire II or the entire disk?

O than any other work of thin disc and open the program normally without having to open Windows Media Player?

I suggest to reset the settings of automatic execution on your computer to the default settings and check if it helps you to solve the problem and open the drive normally.  To reset the default settings, follow these steps:

    1. To open AutoPlay by clicking the theStart button, click Control Panel, hardware and sound, and then clickingAutoPlay.

    b. click on reset to default values.

You can also navigate to the link below and follow the steps to change the settings for automatic execution on the computer and check if it helps.

I hope this helps. Let us know the results.

  • Error "Installation package could not be opened" when tried to install Age of Empires 3

Original title: installation package could not be opened

Due to problems with Age of Empires 1, 2 and 3, I recently uninstalled using Advanced Uninstaller. I then reinstalled AOE 1 and 2 but when I tried to install AOE 3 I got the message "the installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it. \Age of Empires III.msi"

I assumed that the installation disc (which must be loaded when reading) was struck and he was polite. The warning message still appears. I'm afraid I might have deleted something that I should not have when you uninstall the game. Any suggestions?

    Hi kafka001,

Try these steps and check the result.
Step 1: Copy the game on the hard drive and install the game as administrator
    a. copy the contents of the CD game on a new foler hard disk.
    b. right-click on the game configuration file and click "Run as Administrator"
    c. follow the instructions in the wizard to install the game successfully.

Step 2: Delete the contents of the temporary folder in Windows
    a. Click Start, type % temp % in the start search box and press ENTER.
    b. in the Organize menu, click Select all.
    c. in the Organize menu, click on delete.
    d. click Yes.

Step 3: If the problem persists, try to install the game in a different folder or to a different drive
    a. start game installation.
Note: Do not click on quick installation during installation.
    b. follow the setting menus until you see the button change.
    c. click on change.
    d. in the path box, delete the existing path, and then type the following text:
    : \Program Files\Microsoft Games\game name
In this example, is the drive letter of the hard disk and the name of the game is the name of the game you are trying to install.
    e. click OK when finished.
    f. follow the instructions that appear on the screen to install the game.
