• Age of Mythology display error - colonies, suddenly invisible characters

  Worked AoM on XP very well for years.  No change in config or environment - I know - but single player random map, suddenly centers city and all characters, objects, goats, etc., appear not.  They are there and I can build a town center on the empty space where a regulation is, although not showing do not, but it does not appear when you are finished.

  Game is unplayable.  Tried to reinstall, the problem persists.  Any ideas?

  Another post on the forum: try the following suggestion.
  For a correct clean install of the game you must uninstall TT and then uninstall AoM, and then delete the AoM file, then install AoM, then install TT.

  Due to certain grounds, MSXML4 that comes with the game is not compatible with Windows 7. After removing the XML parser that was installed with the game, I installed this:
