AIR feature in Flash Player (3D)

I need to target Flash Player 11 for 3D projects, which means that I'm fighting to keep some important features of AIR for Android:

NativeApplication.nativeApplication.systemIdleMode = SystemIdleMode.KEEP_AWAKE;

NativeApplication.nativeApplication.addEventListener (Event.DEACTIVATE, DeactivateDevice);

NativeApplication.nativeApplication.addEventListener (Event.ACTIVATE, ReactivateDevice);

I get the error:

1120: access of undefined property NativeApplication.

Or that if I try to import the class manually:

1172: definition flash.desktop:NativeApplication could not be found.

Is it possible to have the best of both worlds? And if not, how do I get the things above, another way?

Turns out everything I can still use AIR for 3D if I set the rendering for "GPU" mode - even if I compile as 'direct' in the descriptor of the app.

  • Air applications require Flash Player?

    Well, this question may sound silly, but you please help me with my basic doubt. Applications created in Flex (AIR application) requires Flash Player on the client side or simply install AIR on the client side will do?

    No, just the AIR runtime is enough. Air application uses the airglobal.swc for compilation.

    AIR is not required for the new silent update feature.  You will also always have third-party applications added without first being allowed to withdraw.

  • Reports of flash player into conflict with MSN when trying to install

    I use Windows 7 (64) bit OS.  I was trying to watch a video when the display shows ESPN & quot; You need Adobe Flash Player to see this content & quot;  & quot; Click here to continue the & quot;  This brings you to the Adobe Flash Player Down Load for version 11.6.602.171.  Windows 7 Control Panel configuration, program features, Adobe Flash Player 11.6.602.171 is considered to be installed.   I tried to download the current version and the program has been downloaded.  Then I went through the installation routine.  When the progress bar has got 50%, he stopped and reported that MSN needs to be exited.  I closed MSN but the message came out of MSN.  I have tried several times but still get to the same place and cannot complete the installation.  As a result, I can't display quite a few videos on the internet.  How can I get Windows 7 and internet sites I want to watch videos on to recognize that I have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player?

    Anything that uses Flash Player must be closed during installation; This includes MSN.

    Check with the if task manager process tab it is still running in the background. in this case, to end the process.

    Hey

    Now that Flash Player 10.1 has been near-commercial, is there a documentation of the new features of rtmfp in there?

    I would like to know if it is possible to add file swarming functionality to my application using the new features of Flash Player 10.1 rtmfp.

  • crossdomain. XML with Flash player 9.0.115.0

    Hi gurus,

    I just spent the better part of a day wading through the new features in Flash Player 9.0.115.0 security. I use the library of flash.socket, so I've discovered that I get this error message will get worse, that is to say, next version of Flash Player cannot connect even. Then, I got the good oil here.

    I wrote a crossdomain.xml file that looks like this (it's in the www-root directory):
    <? XML version = "1.0"? >
    < cross-domain-policy >
    < site permitted-cross-domain-policies of control = "master only" / >
    < allow-access-from domain = "192.168.5.201" to-ports = "7700" / >
    < / cross-domain-policy >

    Problem is that the reader flash adds the line follwing in the \Logs\policyFiles.txt it generates:
    WARNING: The 192.168.5.201 field does not specify a meta-policy. Meta-policy enforcement by default 'all '. This configuration is deprecated. See http://www.adobe.com/go/strict_policy_files to fix this problem.

    From my reading, I've specified a meta-policy with the line:
    < site permitted-cross-domain-policies of control = "master only" / >

    So my question is why it cannot find the meta-policy?

    Just thought that I should finish this.

    Today, I restarted my XP virtual machine and hey-presto that begins to operate. Further investigation led me to see that, for some reason, Firefox was not re-reading the crossdamain.xml file, but to instead stick with what he reads the first time, he is running (from a cold start).

    IE does not seem to suffer this caching, but at least I finally found why it did not work - it has not been read the changes that I made in the crossdomain.xml file.

    Kcell thanks for your time.

  • Flash player 18 esr - as it contains all the features of the fp 18?

    With the jump to version of fp 13-18 esr, I'm trying to find information on the question of whether we should do thorough testing on the new version of flash player 18 esr, but it seems unclear to me if the new version of esr is identical to the full version, or if it's just 13 esr with a new number and the last security fix. Does anyone know where to find information about this?

    Hi m2cv,

    Yes, ESR version 18.0.0.232 contains all the features and security fixes. Note full version, for every single version output is available here helps Flash Player | Release notes.

    I have a macbook air. My computer crashed 2 days ago and since I rebooted it, since 2 days I have ' plugins blocked» I installed, update... what he said I needed, although there was an option to pay for additional stuff I didn't pay. but the update was installed, didn't work. I uninstalled flash player and reinstalled twice, he still considered blocked. I closed and restarted twice, after uninstalling and after installation. No luck. I get a check for installation message that it is not on my computer, or I don't have the right to run. I read something on the search for programs on IE... but I use safari. I need help please.

    I got it fixed with a personal link gave to someone else with the same problem. The link was problematic... I had to use it 3 times... but finally I found the download for version 15.0 on my computer and finally I installed it and finally things work again. The problem seems to be related to having to find the version 15.0. Nevermind, I lost two days trying to do what should be a simple update.

  • Confused Flash Player + AIR Sys specs

    HI - the specs say 2.33 GHz processor and 1.6 for atom netbks - my laptop is 1.3 GHz dual core, so I'm not able to use Flash Player + AIR? There are so many phones out there less 2.33 GHz I got this confused - help please - thank you.

  • How to determine running AIR or Flash Player?

    Is it possible to determine at run time if the code runs the web/flash player or AIR version?

    I created an AIR application, but I also want to make sure the application can run on the web. There are some APIs not applications no PNEUMATIC, so I need to change the code when the code is running in a web browser. I want a simple way to determine if the code is running as a standalone application inside the flash player or AIR.

    Is there a simple Boolean variable to call to determine if the code is running in an AIR application?

    I found a few ways to do this:

    ================================

    #1-check to see if an AIR command can only be called.

    var bSupportsAir:Boolean = true;

    try {}

    NativeApplication.nativeApplication.systemIdleMode;

    } catch(err:Error) {}

    bSupportsAir = false;

    }

    ================================

    #2 see if the playerType's desktop

    var bSupportsAir:Boolean = (Capabilities.playerType == "Desktop");

  • Flash Player 10.2.152.26 only / installation feature. Help?

    The system is a Dell Inspiron age of 2 years

    desktop computer with 204 GB of free space running Windows Vista (32 bit).  Security consists of Microsoft Security Essentials, Spybot Search & Destroy, Windows Defender (although the Defender has recently refused to open after restart) and, since yesterday, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.  A comprehensive yesterday with MBAB resulted in 4 elements are detected and quarantined.  A quick scan gave nothing today.  Security level is set to medium.  Internet zone is set to medium.  Active scripting is enabled in the trusted sites and internet area.

    When I download Flash Player from the Adobe site or run it from the computer, it will appear in programs and features but won't play clips video or other foods that need.  No error message is displayed during the download.  Adobe.com/Software/Flash/about indicates that Flash Player is not installed.  I tried to disable the Windows Firewall and the Blocker when download/install and it makes no difference.

    A strange thing - video clips in Real Player, which was seen originally with Flash Player and then downloaded will not play unless Flash Player will appear in programs and features.  So apparently Real Player recognizes that Flash Player is present (a form any).

    Any help much appreciated.

    Hi, Yes, success is sweet, it took a little longer than usual, because of the Spybot. I'd rather be sure that heal in ensuring that no conflicts occur when executing this procedure.

    You can reactivate your security programs. If you notice any conflict or instability, it is possible that TeaTimer can conflict with MSE. MSE has real-time protection and is also an anti-virus & Anti-Spyware. Spybot also has a component in real time from my understanding. If all three have worked without problem, then it is fine.

    Sounds good, happy that the addon is correct also.

    When you're done celebrating your victory, I'd appreciate that you marked your thread as answered! If someone with Spybot I'll send them here, LOL

    Thank you all for your cooperation in this endeavour :-)

  • Problem installing Adobe Flash Player for Mac Air (Yosemite)

    I got a message saying that my Adobe Flash Player is out of date. This seemed strange because I had been to access the videos of the previous hour without any problems. I went ahead and opened the Mac version download of the Adobe site setup. Installation began, and after the entry of a password to Admin, the download has reached 25% almost immediately. Unfortunately, it's been blocked 25% since then. I tried to do it again, removing the download and the re - download the update without success. I've also temporarily disabled my AdBlock and AdBlock Plus. I tried to uninstall AFP so I could start again, but the box that is supposed to tell me what version of uninstaller for download has error message says I need to update AFP.

    How can I fix?

    Edit: I thought I was downloading an AFP for an earlier operating system (I'm under 10.10.2). I made sure to download the latest version of the AFP for Mac possible. The installation is now stuck at 30%. (Just to be clear, I downloaded the package without problem - the problem is with the installation of the program itself stopping at 30 %.))

    Edit 2: I figured out that uninstall the package that I needed (using this page: Uninstall Flash Player |) Mac OS) but after reinstallation AFP, he is still stuck at 25% of download.

    Edit 3: The message "failed to connect. Trying to reconnect"appeared, quickly followed by"the connection failed ". Guess I'll try again.
