Air applications require Flash Player?

Well, this question may sound silly, but you please help me with my basic doubt. Applications created in Flex (AIR application) requires Flash Player on the client side or simply install AIR on the client side will do?

No, just the AIR runtime is enough. Air application uses the airglobal.swc for compilation.

  • AIR feature in Flash Player (3D)

I need to target Flash Player 11 for 3D projects, which means that I'm fighting to keep some important features of AIR for Android:

    NativeApplication.nativeApplication.systemIdleMode = SystemIdleMode.KEEP_AWAKE;

    NativeApplication.nativeApplication.addEventListener (Event.DEACTIVATE, DeactivateDevice);

    NativeApplication.nativeApplication.addEventListener (Event.ACTIVATE, ReactivateDevice);

    I get the error:

1120: access of undefined property NativeApplication.

Or that if I try to import the class manually:

1172: definition flash.desktop:NativeApplication could not be found.

Is it possible to have the best of both worlds? And if not, how do I get the things above, another way?

Turns out everything I can still use AIR for 3D if I set the rendering for "GPU" mode - even if I compile as 'direct' in the descriptor of the app.

  • An application of Flash Player from Adobe

I used to have downloaded Adobe Flash Player but it wouldn't let me Watch youtube videos, so I had to uninstall it and reinstall it. It worked after that, but now I can't find the application. I would run a few things about the application (eg games), but now I can't find it on my computer. There is a separate download for it? If so, can I have the link?

You can download the standalone version of Flash player from this link: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/updaters/10/flashplayer_10_sa.exe.

Usually, programs installation of drive web flash (activex and plugins) do not install the standalone version. If you installed it you probably had Flash Pro installed at some point because it install the standalone player.

    See you soon,.

  • After upgrading to FF36.0.4, I can't view pages that require Flash Player.

I upgraded to FF 36.0.4 and was unable to access pages I had before. I installed the latest Shockwave Flash 17.0.0.134 and Quicktime 7.7.6 and facilitated National Weather Service still unable to display radar images. FF says I plug in but not which. One of the possible reasons for a plugin not installed on the addons page are if Firefox has been set NOT to scan the registry for plugins. Another is that the settings of Firefox, plugin data storage file is corrupt. Here are the steps to check these possibilities:

Confirm that Firefox scans the registry for plugins

Firefox detects the plugin Flash to a registry entry. Some users have scanning disabled for some reason any. Here's how check and fix this:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the filter box, type or paste the scan and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) If plugin.scan.plid.all is not set to its default value true, double-click it to activate it by default.

If you have changed this setting, close and restart Firefox to start another analysis.

If you see the Add-ons, Plugins section page again, you will find 'Shockwave Flash' it?

If Firefox is set to scan, but still do not find the Flash and the list on the page Add - ons...

Remove the registry file for the plugin for Firefox

Sometimes the pluginreg.dat file is damaged. You can remove it and Firefox plugins re-scan.

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • Menu help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste Subject: support in the address bar and press enter

In the first table of the page, click on the "view file" button to launch a new window of Windows Explorer showing your settings files.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • File menu > exit

Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename pluginreg.dat to something like pluginreg.old

Launch Firefox back up again. (If you want to restore your previous session non-private use history > restore previous Session.)

When you return to the page modules, 'Shockwave Flash' is finally here?

  • Flash Player v19 fails install ActiveX on IE v11 (Win7 Ultimate)

I was able to successfully play videos likely requiring Flash Player (e.g., Facebook) in my browser Internet Explorer 11 for quite some time now.  A few weeks ago they stopped play, and IE displays the error message that Flash Player is required for this kind of videos.  I tried downloading and installing Flash Player on adobe.com several times, whenever the installation program launches, downloads at 100% and the product to install but still fails with the error "control ActiveX cannot be registered.

I tried the following installation scenarios:

    (1) download and run the independent activex control install package from adobe

    (2) turn off my Symantec/Norton antivirus for download & install

    (3) to open the Task Manager and ending the iexplorer.exe process even accuse after closing IE

    (4) do not open Task Manager, to continue to operate after the closing of the application THE process iexplorer.exe (2 of them).

    Hi eeeehaw,

    This link worked.  Thank you.

As I suspected, it is a problem of permission with the installation.  The issue started around Nov 11?  We published the latest version of Flash Player 11 Nov and installation, through substantive update, seems to be successful that day (not), however, I see many failed attempts to install Flash Player for IE after that.  Today the most recent attempt fails due to permissions errors.  The FAQ How can I fix Windows with Flash Player permission problems? contains information on how to solve this problem that runs a script to reset the permissions on various files and Flash Player registry entries.  If this does not work, you can try a less restrictive script of the microscope according to this tech note https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/968003.  This technical note makes reference to Windows updates, the error (0x80070005) is the same returned on the file Flash Player prevents the installation.

  • Installation of Flash Player 12 on Windows Server 2008 R2 X 64 with IE 8

I have an application that runs on Windows Server 2008 R2 X 64 that requires Flash Player 12. When I try to install Flash Player 12 it says that Windows Server R2 X 64 is not supported by way of elimination of the list of the supported operating systems. When I do a search I can find a lot of people indicating that they executed him or explain "hacks" to make it work. Given that the app requires there is an implimcation that it must be running on this OS. What is the official word on this?  It is a production server, and I really don't want a 'unsupported hack' running in this environment. Is there a way to support for Flash Player 12 run on Windows Server 2008 R2 X 64 with IE8, even if it's in the 32-bit version of the browser?

Server 2008 (x 86) is supported, and I got a x 64 machine set up last month who had installed FP12 and running in IE and Firefox. 64-bit IE wouldn't execute it for a reason but made the 32-bit. He installed in C/Windows/System32/C:\windows\system32\macromed/Flash and C/Windows/SysWOW64/C:\windows\system32\macromed/Flash, but I was unable to get the ActiveX plugin to allow outside 32 bit IE.

I also put in place a 2012 server machine that the x 64 ActiveX support, but this is probably not an option for you.

Like you, I'd be suspicious of the "hacks" so he could work as a pkug-in 64 x, because it can have unexpected and undesirable consequences in other areas.

  • Problems with Swiff/Eolsoft and Adobe Flash Player

I am current using a Dell Latitude D820 laptop which uses Windows 7 (32 bit) running with the current version of Firefox (12, not a beta version) and that you have installed the latest version of Adobe Flash Player (11). However, I am completely unable to play one of my files .swf or .flv to computers.

Whenever I try to open the Swiff player an error message that says, and I quote 'Unfortunately, Adobe Flash player ActiveX is not installed on your system. SWF & FLV player requires this ActiveX control for the operation. Please visit www.adobe.com and install Flash Player ActiveX Control. " (This is the error message in the letter I left out anything)."

Now, I sailed on the site and installed the latest version of flash which provided the site Web Adobe and after having looked at length (see exhaustively) through the web and help adobe for a solution to this problem, I found nothing conclusive.

So I tried to use Eolsoft Flash Movie Player, but she gave the following error: Flash Movie Player requires the Macromedia Flash Player Plugin, which is not in this system. You want to go to the Macromedia website and install the plug-in?

According to the link provided simply brings me on adobe's site when I installed and uninstalled the program several times. If anyone knows the solution to these problems, I would appreciate your help.

After more searching through the internet and my computer, I found in the settings of my flash it says version ActiveX is not installed. What does that mean? I thought that ActiveX is provided with the download of Adobe Flash.

    Flash Player has two components:

    • control ActiveX for Internet Explorer
    • the plugin for other browsers

Other applications may use one or the other of these components, you may need to have both installed.

Try download and run the Installer tall_in_a_firewall_proxy_server_environment http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#ins offline - note that none of the browsers or applications using Flash Player must run during installation.

If you still have problems after that, please indicate what files you have in C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash

  • Mac ppc is now incompatible with most Web sites who need Flash Player?

I uninstalled Flash Player to shoot badly to another problem I had last week. It was not the cause, but when I tried to re - install, Adobe would only my system download and install Flash Player 9. I'm sure I had a version of 10 before, but I can't say for sure. In any case, this is when most every site that requires Flash Player (including the Adobe site has stopped working for me on this system by saying that I have to install Flash Player 10.2.

As a ppc running osx 10.4.11 is clearly on the Adobe download page can use Flash Player 9!  This means that this computer has just become obsolete for use on the web?

It doesn't seem to be a thread on the web but nothing concrete, and I find no download anywhere for Flash Player 10 under 10.2! Same Version Tracker as far as I can find has nothing.

Can you confirm that it will not work with the site to Adobe Flash Player 9? Has it been changed or upgraded in the last week or two?

And... Do you have any ideas where I might be able t find a version of Flash Player 10 under 10.2?

All these sites were working on this computer until last week, so I know it's possible (unless, of course, all these sites have changed last week).

Is there anything else I can try?

    Thanks for any help!

Hi, the version of Flash Player has been archived: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html

You will need to download the Flash Player 10.1 (81.7 MB) and save it to your desktop. Then you will find the 10.1.102.64 version for the Mac platform. There is also a Readme file.

Here are the instructions to Apple Discussions:

    * Flash Player for Mac PPC *.
Latest version of Adobe Flash Player for Mac PPC was in November, 2010 with the following output versions 10.1.102.64 for Intel based Macs. To update you need to download:

Flash uninstaller: [http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/865/cpsid_86551.html#prob1=uninst, os = m10.6], make sure you get the right one.

Install Flash 10.1.102.64 [http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp10.1.102.64_and_9.0. 289.0archive.zip] open archive to reveal still more archives and several files. Select: flashplayer101r102_64_ubmac.dmg

    To install:

    (1) run disk utility and check your hard drive. If the hard drive reports errors, then it will have to repair the first (another topic). If she checked, run repair permissions in disk utility.

Quit all applications to ensure that nothing is actively using Flash.

Run the application uninstaller. Adobe said: "Adobe recommends that you restart your computer before installing a different version of the reader."

    Run the Setup program
Use disk utility to repair permissions on your computer. This is important when installing anything whatsoever from Adobe.

    7-restart your computer.

You do not have to these instructions, but I posted if you do.

    Hope that helps.
