Aironet 1200 with a radio and 802.11 g

Can an AP 1200 with an 'a' and 'g' radio be used as a bridge (for backhaul) "one" of the radio and a point of access to the radio of 'g' at the same time?

Thank you

Kim

Yes, you set the radio has to be root/nonroot mode, with the SSID as the infrastructure. Then G radio you leave at the default value and set what auth/cipher of the you want.

    Hi Philippe,.

    The short answer is Yes, the series 1200 AP with a G radio can support clients both b & g at the same time. Be sure to correctly configure data rates to not to exclude clients b. Take a look at the info;

In a few years, WLAN evolved from proprietary systems with sub-Mbit/s capabilities to standardized offers running at as much as a combined 108 Mbps data rate. These high data rates are available in two band 2.4 GHz with technology 802.11 g and Band 5 GHz with 802. 11A technology. 802.11 g provides backward compatibility with 802. 11b devices, but is limited to three channels, overlapping in the band of 2.4 GHz. 802. 11A provides no backward compatibility but supports up to 23 channels (depending on local regulations). Hello

I have a column that need to have data with a radio button. Has been able to achieve this by using < trh:tableLayout >. But when I select the option button it moves to the next line. You want to stop this behavior of option button to move to the next line. This column also includes a hyperlink. Adding one more doubt. A horizontalgrid of specific columns can make invisible?

  • MAB with ACS (internal store) and 802. 1 X with Active Directory (external store)

    Hello

at the moment we´re using ACS MAB. Every Mac are stored as internal hosts on GBA. I want to migrate to 802. 1 X.

Users have AD. During the migration, I need MAB and 802. 1. X is it possible to use the database internally and externally at the same time to the

    same access strategy?

    Concerning

    Hello Horst-

Yes, you can do this by creating an "identity" store sequence and fix the two AD and the data store is internal to it. Take a look at the link below:

  • Aironet 1200 series - power of the weak signal near AP

I recently bought an access point of the Aironet 1200 (AIR-AP1231G-A-K9) series and the initial setup - IP configuration on the AP, the installer does a SSID and turn on the radio.

I used my laptop to connect to the SSID that I created, but to my surprise the signal strength of my SSID was only 2 bars and sometimes 1 bar and I'm within 2 feet of the access point. However, the speed of connection/signal quality was varying between 24 Mbps and 36 Mbps.

Why is the signal strength so low?

Is is because I did not buy them with external antennas?

I missed something during the initial Setup?

Y at - it an option that I have change/fine adjust in the GUI to get the best signal strength?

    Help, please.

"Is is because I did not buy them with external antennas?

Yes, that's correct. There is no internal antennas on this model of AP.

You need at least one, preferably two antennas of the same type for each radio. If you have the old 'A' radio with the paddle antenna, then you only need one or two antennas of radio 2.4 G.

    Good luck

  • Point of access Cisco Aironet 1200 series help

We have 4 Cisco Aironet 1200 Access Points and they are all set to authenticate with our RADIUS server. However, authentication is hooked and can't understand why. Does anyone have any knowledge/experience with Cisco Aironet 1200 Access Points configuration?

OK, I do not work with the GUI so although the memory is a little hazy but from the APs home page look on the left hand side and there is an option for something like "Software Setup" or something to that effect. You should be able to find the IOS version of here. This requires that you are indeed runnig IOS code. How old are these APs? If more than a few years ago (and perhaps even more recent) that they could very well be running VxWorks and then we are in a different ball game. If you see what I have described above and the homepage for the AP is often white with a bit of greenish-blue, bluish-green color then IOS, if it is more colorful, yellow stuff and VxWOrks.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything that anyone else. I will try to answer as soon as POSSIBLE.

  • I plugged the ipod clock radio and my ipod is dead.

I plugged my ipod in a clock radio, and now my ipod (gen 5, 120 gig) simply fails. I tried to connect to my Macbook, it recharges with a wall charger, reset it works... nothing.  Any idea what I could do?

To 'restore', make sure that you did such as described in this document

Learn how to reset your iPod - Apple Support- see section iPod with a click wheel

If you already have...  "Nothing works" mean nothing currently appears on the iPod screen?

A 5th generation iPod goes up to 80 GB (with stock hard drive).  If your a 120 GB, and you improved yourself, do you know how to open it correctly, with the right tools?  If you do, you can try to disconnect the battery for about 30 seconds and then by him plugging.

  • WRT1900ACS: Missing "802.11n only' and '802. "11A / n only" network Mode selections

On my new WRT1900ACS (ACv2, loaded with the latest firmware 1.0.0.169041) I want to force the two bands in 802.11n only, but I can not because the choice of "802.11n only" does not appear in the drop-down lists.

The only choices that appear on the Wireless tab are 'mixed', '802. "11b / g only", "802. 11 g-only", "802. 11 b only for 2 .4GHz' and '802.11ac only', '802. 11 a only"for 5 GHz.  It's as if Linksys has decided to remove the 802.11n choice from the graphical interface at some point.  Why?  I want this option of return.

The manual States that there is a choice for '802.11n only' for the two bands.

    From the manual (WRT1900ACS_FUG_ENandFR - CA.pdf):

    p. 41:

"You can then select Wireless-N only as network below Mode."

    p. 43:

    i. on the 2.4 GHz band, you can choose among the following:

    -802. 11 b / g only

    -802. 11 g only

    -802.11 n only

    -Mixed technique

    -802. 11 a only

    -802.11ac only

    -802. 11A / n only
