AirPlay

After the upgrade to version 10, I am unable to use airplay on my iPad 2.  When I put it on airplay, it keeps buffering and then mirrored lights. I rebooted the iPad and Apple TV, but nothing seems to help. Apple TV is updated.

What iPad do you have? the iPad 2 is not able to run iOS10.

I think there's also an update for apple TV released, so you put that too far?

    Hello Brent,.

Thank you for your participation in the communities of Support from Apple.

I see that iTunes is leaving after an update when you play songs to AirPlay devices. Let's try some troubleshooting steps to help isolate and resolve the cause of the error.

If you haven't done so already, don't forget to restart your network devices and receivers of the AirPlay. For AirPort Extreme, I suggest a "soft reset" for now as mentioned in resetting an airport station base FAQ.

Then try the AirPlay test in safe mode and a new account on your Mac user. The following steps can help to eliminate software conflicts in your user account and can give us an indication of the additional troubleshooting steps to try then.

You can use this Support article as a guide to complete both of these steps-How to test one question in another user on your Mac account.

When it comes to tests in a new user, you need to import a few songs in iTunes for testing library. Here are some links to help with the signing in music Apple or download past purchases:

    Turn on iCloud music library

  • Why can I not see my stereo in AirPlay after I upgraded 10.0.2?

After that I updated to IOS 10.0.2 that I can no longer see my stereo running on airport express.  The old Airplay has been renamed AirPlay Mirroring and shows only my Apple TV.  I'm looking for my stereo.  Is there a switch somewhere, or did Apple just screw this up so it no longer works?

Never mind.  Scroll to the right.

Before the 10 update iOS, I have audio AirPlay to my Marantz receiver. Now when I select AirPlay Mirroring on my iPad, Marantz AV7701 no longer appears. What gives?

Hello. The old menu AirPlay has been split in two. Mirroring applies only to video devices that can reflect the screen. Normal AirPlay is on the right pane, the new control center. Drag to the left and your receiver should appear in the list.

  • mirroring AirPlay look for apple tv

Since the iOS 10 update on iPhone and iPad, it seems that I can't find my AirPort Express for streaming music on my stereo.  When I click on AirPlay Mirroring it only looks for AppleTV and never find my Express.  Someone else has a similar problem?  Is there another setting I'm missing?

When I'm in the Spotify application, there is a button for devices and this app can find the Express (on iOS 10), but my SiriusXM app doesn't have this same feature.

AirPlay Mirroring and AirPlay streaming are two different things. With iOS 10, AirPlay Mirroring is accessible via the control panel. AirPlay Streaming has been integrated in the music app.

  • TV OS10 and Airplay is sick

Ok... I am a former COMPUTER technician with over 30 years in the industry... Microsoft SE... Novell CNE and many other acceditations.   Has started working with Apple products around 2010 and love them.  Here's my problem... until the last batch of IPhone and Apple TV updates my Airplay was solid as a rock. But these few updates caused Airplay intermittently leaving... See the Apple TV screen for a few seconds... and then start again.  My wifi router is a new AirPort Extreme. iPhones are 6 s more, and Apple TV is Gen4.

I am posting this in the hope of a few new updates for Apple TV that will stabilize Airplay once more.

Would not update, and network problems can come at any time.

Try Ethernet and test it on another network or take to Apple

AirPlay does not work on Apple TV with ios 10.  It was working before the update.  Please notify.

Try these steps, check to see if things work after each step if necessary, before you try the next.

    1. Check AirPlay is on the Apple TV (turn market if it already is)
    2. Check that both devices are on the same network (settings > Wifi on the mobile device and the settings > general > network, on the Apple TV).
    3. Restart the Apple TV (settings > general > restart).
    4. Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL cables for 30 seconds.
    5. Restart your router. (Also try to remove the power cord for at least 30 seconds)
    6. Restart your computer or mobile device.

  • Unexpected airPlay with AppleTV list after the iOS10

    Hello

After 10 times my iPhone and iPad iOS update, I started to see some Apple TV which do not belong to me in my mailing list. For example, the 'Apple TV' and 'Living Room' in the picture.

I checked my router and I'm sure that I only have my own devices inside my WiFi environment. In addition, I don't see these two unexpected in my Mac iTunes devices, as indicated below.

I also did an experiment to unplug my Apple TV room and kitchen and then they disappear from the mailing list, while the other two unexpected are still there. I tried to contact them, and I was asked for passwords. So now I'm kind of confused why this happens. As I did not detect these two in either on my Mac mailing list or the list of the devices connected to my router, I think it might be some sort of bug introduced by iOS 10, given that I have never seen this before the update. I wonder if someone could please take a look at. thank you!

Also, here's an update. I tested with another Mac that is updated for Sierra, and I also started seeing these AppleTV unexpected AirPlay list (as shown in the picture), while for my two other Mac on El Capitan, I don't see this problem.

Hello. Can you describe how AirPlay hangs a little more in detail? I am a devoted user of AirPlay, with iPad Air and ATV 4, and I would like a review of such behaviors. You have rebooted the iPad since the update? Hold down the sleep and home buttons until you see the Apple.

  • iOS 10 remove airplay and release of the control center.

The airplay and drop buttons occupy too much space in the control center. This space would be more useful if it were the music app. I do not have now any use of airtime or air drop and would really like to be able to hide these buttons.

In iOS 10 slide the left control center and you have control of everything for the Music Center.

can someone help me with this problem?

    Hey franky-b,.

I understand that after updating macOS Sierra, you are able to get audio but no video when using mirroring AirPlay. I know it's nice to be able to see your desktop on your TV wireless, so I'm happy to help you.

First of all, make sure that your devices meet the requirements of airtime:

    Required to use AirPlay

If you go to the Apple menu > System Preferences, click on monitors and do not see the option to "See the mirroring of the options in the menu bar when it is available," your Mac does not meet these requirements.

Minimum requirements if your Mac and Apple TV are on the same network:

Minimum requirements for peer-to-peer AirPlay, which allows visitors to quickly and easily connect their Mac or an iOS device to your Apple TV without getting the passwords and connection to the network Wi - Fi:
