  Here's the scenario: visitor fills out the form on the Web site at the request of report. BizOwner complements the report and send the visitor an email with a link to the report. The report is based on values stored in a database. The email link looks like this: http://www.MySite.com/freeReport/ReadYours.cfm?reportID=12345.
  
  I want to do is have a ReadYours.cfm (the report output page) recognize when the visitor arrives to the page by clicking on the e-mail link. (BizOwner view (s) the same page after completing the report, but not by clicking on the e-mail link.) BizOwner's page on the site where heShe full report. So, I don't want to save removal of BizOwner from a page on the website - just the visitor referral link e-mail.) If the visitor has arrived on the page by clicking on the email link, update the database to record the visitor considered its report. Database has a table named "Outlook", which has a column "readReport." I want to update the column / field 'Yes' when the visitor arrives to the report by clicking on their link of e-mail.

  you make sense and what you want to achieve can be easily done in
  added a few other var to the url sent to the user. then press the
  ReadYours.cfm checking for the existence of this var page - if there is only
  the user came there is a link in the email.
  i.e.

  Send this link to users:
  http://www.mysite.com/freeReport/ReadYours.cfm?ReportID=12345&e=1

  Another option, but not very accurate, is to simply check
  variable #cgi.http_referer #:
  If it contains the domain name of your site then the user came from a page
  in your site;
  If not - then he/she came from email link... or a
  Bookmark... or from a link on another site...

  I used to be able to send a link from Firefox or click on an email address on a website. Firefox raise my email (Yahoo mail), but the link in the email is not in the body or if I clicked on an e-mail To: part of the enamel is not met. Please help, it was a very useful feature.

  On further analysis, I found that Gmail doesn't have this problem, so I do believe that it is a problem with Firefox. I work with Yahoo mail now to solve. Thanks anyway.

• After update FF20.0, can no longer trigger the email links.

  A number of e-mails have internal links to web sites. Until the FF20.0, I could click on the link and open the referenced URL. Now, I can just copy and paste. Using Thunderbird.

• Email link with the email address of the admin client

  We include an e-mail to Webhelp to our product link to allow our users to send us your comments on specific topics (none received to date, but I live in hope that someone, somewhere, reads for help...).

  A customer asked if it is possible to include an email link in the help topics that will send an email to that client sys admin.

  Obviously, a search / replace on all htm files would be the case, for example to replace the email address of my company doc feedback with email of the customer on the link send comments. But is there a more elegant way to do it?

  • The e-mail address used in the link could be specified when using the product is installed. The installer should go through all of the htm files and do the replacement.
  • The e-mail address may be specified in a file separate and included somehow in all htm, while a single file would need to be changed by the installer.

  Someone at - it solved this problem already? Is the 2nd option above even possible?

  I guess you want to simply send e-mail to the user's system, right? If it is to be sent automatically in the background, you need a solution on the side server.

  I see two options: sets of variables and JavaScript.

  • With the sets of variables, you set the email as a variable. And that you configure a set for each customer. But you will end up with a single output by customer.
  • With JavaScript, you put all the logic for the email link in a script. Then you have just the single file where the e-mail address is stored. Then only one place to update. See the site of Peter for the sample scripts: Email this theme

  The problem is, during the test (Email we Acid), the link to the email address (see below) restores the default is blue. Thus, in the body of my html, all links are style correctly (color: #8b365f;), except the email link, which is the default value is blue.

  Emailing links directly from firefox using my email to business was easy, but now, using windows 8 (currently firefox v 34.0.5) I keep getting redirected to a page asking I have add my e-mail (exchange, office 365) account. However when I do this it just says that this account is already added and don't give me any other options. I also tried to add Outlook and Exchange ActiveSync and the result is the same. Can someone advise please?

• Can I print the hyper links in my emails?

  HP e-Print is fine if I receive an e-mail with an attachment that I want to print... but what happens if the sender is simply a hyper link (for content discussion) in the body of the e-mail message.  It would be great if to set up my account that I could choose... "Hyper links to print", if I could not print links if I made the message of great importance...

  I don't think that this is possible. And I don't think that can be applied too. What happens if the email you received to several links? The printer would print all the links? Seems complicated. If it's a good idea for the future.

  Thank you very much. It was not the exact answer, but it got me going in the right direction. It turns out that I didn't have this button bar. He sent me the search in the AOL settings. I've enabled Rich Text/HDML and buttons appeared n then I followed your instructions and can now hyperlink.
