Alignment of regression of the timeline

Moving clips on the timeline is more difficult in the current building. Drag a clip and the default behavior is to switch to another track and cutting the references seem to be confused/inhibited, as if the algorithm has a more difficult to disentangle several references - have to zoom the timeline much more often to increase the distances between the references. Stressful and tedious and slows me down significantly compared to the previous behavior. Anyone else seeing this? Build 10.4.0 (30). My machine (MacbookPro 15 "retina) and remains of config monitor/graphics (HP ZR30w) unchanged.

  • Can you align child layers to their parents in the timeline using scripts?

    OK, so I'm very new to scripting. Right now I'm looking for a way to align layers in the scenario with the other.

    So, if, for example - if 3 NULL values were related to a model like this:

    CompQ1.PNG

    I want to be able to line the children up to their parent, to look like this:

    CompQ2.PNG

    So far I tried to find the time when the Solid Black comp begins within Comp 1, but I only managed to find the values of the model Solid Black inPoint which are always relative to the model itself, and not when it is actually active in Comp 1. When I look at the script guide, it does not resemble the Ae allows you to access the timeline like this.

    Any ideas?

    Is it still possible?

    Play with this:

    var app.project.activeItem = myComp;

    for (var i = 1; i)<= mycomp.numlayers;="">

    If (myComp.layer (i) .parent! = null) {}

    myComp.layer (i) .startTime += myComp.layer (i).parent.inPoint - myComp.layer (i) .inPoint;

    }

    }

  • Why don't the read head align a mount point in the Timeline?

    As a recent first user from Final Cut, there is a behavior in the first I can't get used to. When I drag the playhead autour while in the scenario, I would expect the playback head to align the ends of the clips, edit the points, but it doesn't. The reason is important behavior is because it's often that I want to do something between two change points (or end of a clip that may not be the last clip on the timeline) such as insert a clip or other asset items. In FCP, drag the cursor around the read head, it will jump to the various edit points, making Park the playhead at a given place, I will insert a clip. With the first, I can get the head of close reading, but it will not snap, so I never know if I'm on the exact frame I want. This means that I could easily miss the end of a clip by one or two images, and you never know.

    Is there a way to force a wink? or change a setting to allow the read head hanging? Of course, I also want to temporarily disable this behavior by a combination of keys, which I suppose is easy to do using the combination of keys toggle 'snap' current (S).

    When you use the mouse and near a point edit hold SHIFT, it will jump to the edit point.

  • Align the keyframes in the timeline (After Effects)

    I tried to line up a few existing keyframes in several layers between them. I was surprised that I could align objects in the composition, but not in the timeline panel. So I did some research. I found something that might help, but I don't think that it is the complete answer. I think it would be nice to get other opinions / suggestions for a better way.

    I've followed this process:

    • Open the layers to keyframes in the timeline
    • All selected keyframes
    • Click the graph Editor button
    • Set the Snap (button magnet on the bottom of the graph editor)
    • Manually, drag key image desired to align together

    I've seen other suggestions for scripts or cut and paste keyframes. Although they should work, it would great if I could select multiple keyframes and tell them of centering alignment, align left or align right.

    Does anyone know of this ability in AE?

    Thanks, Chris

  • Align on the timeline?

    Being a recent FCP expatriate, I am constantly trying Premiere Pro to work as FCP has done. One place that I find almost identical, but just different enough to confuse me is the snapping behavior. It can be used to snap one clip to another, but can be used to align the timeline? For example, if I have the playhead parked on an image and I want to use the razor tool to put a Cup on this exact image, can I do? I've been putting a close cut of the playhead, and then using the roll change tool to make it land on the frame where the playback head is parked but I hope that there is a faster way to do it.

    Thanks for your help!

    ... I have the playhead parked on a framework and I want to use the razor tool to put a Cup on this exact frame, I can do?

    You can use this shortcut instead of the razor tool:

    Cut to the current time mark (head)

    CTRL-k (win)

    Command-k (mac)

  • align objects on stage throughout the timeline

    I'm new to Flash and am missing probably the obvious.
    I want to select objects on the stage and move them to a new location or align them to one line guide. However, I want to do it for a whole series of images in the scenario. In essence, select all images in the scenario, and then select all the objects on the stage and align them to the left and the top side.

    However, it seems that to align objects in the active frame.

    I started with a circle on the stage, then added several keyframes in the timeline, by changing the fill color to different key frames.

    Is there another way to do what I want?
    Thank you

    I found it... Change multiple images.

  • How to reset the function that allows tracks audio and video to align with the other tracks on the timeline

    Somehow, I have disabled the feature that allows to drag and draw audio and video tracks on the timeline to other titles or positions of import.  Is the only project that was hit, and everything that I can think is that when executing some other keyboard shortcuts, I accidentally performed a shortcut that turned this feature off.

    You want to say, "Snap"? Press "on the keyboard, or press the snap button in the timeline panel.

  • I can link groups in the timeline?

    In collaboration with motion 5. Many groups are in the order in the timeline. I want to remove a specific group and that the run time be filled later groups.

    This opreration is available and simple with Final Cut, but I did find a way with movement 5.

    Simplest is to treat with him to open the Calendar pane, enable the alignment and order - select all groups in the end, then click - drag on one of selected and move it up until it clicks at the end of the group that ends at the gap.

  • Video track snaps to the 1 second increments on the timeline

    I had a video and a separate audio track synchronized in a sequence, then drag a video clip of 'camera 2' (from GoPro to 29.97 FPS) to the timeline. To align the video with audio, I need to adjust the starting point and drag it to the right for accurate lip sync point. However, this video clip only stripes and moves in increments of one second, even if the snap is disabled. How can I do align on the accuracy of 30 images of the clamp per second instead of snapping to the 1-second?

    The timeline value frames (it is about to Audio Units) and try again.

    BTW why your timeline has a red line on it. Don't you have material MPE.

  • Make more room on the Timeline in After Effects

    I had completed this project in After Effects I want to add something new in it. To move all the layers down and ensure that everything aligns properly would be a project in itself! Is it possible to manipulate the editing view or the layers of stretch more room in a specific place in the timeline? If someone could help me, I would be very happy!

  • How to see all frames of a clip on the timeline first?

    There are of course times when I need to see all frames of a clip to synchronize two clips. For example, imagine you have a shoot with two cameras, and both devices were looking to a clapstick, or a strobe. I want to put the two clips on the timeline and zoom in to see all images. Now I can align the two clips fo that clarification of each clip is over/under each other. However, when I zoomed in on the timeline, it seems that I can zoom in enough to see all the images that I do to be able to zoom all the way in the scenario that I can see images of the clips? I have not actually tried this yet with CC, but there with CS6 and he wouldn't do it.

    Find the "sync" Frame in the Source monitor and place a marker on it for each Clip.

    These will be easy to line up in the timeline panel

  • Activation of video while moving under the cursor on the timeline

    Hi all!

    I was wondering if there was a way to allow the abilty to see the video when you move on the timeline under the cursor.  I´ll try to explain a little better:

    I do a lot of clips, based on the Action takes, and I put the video (or certain moments in the video, like the firing of a gun) at the appropriate time with the music, for example on the first beat of a 4/4 timing.  The problem is, I try to put this point in the video under the cursor (I found the point in the Audio where I hold to come out, adjust my cursor on the timeline and move the video clip of left/right below). The problem in this is that when I move the video clip to get the points aligned, I can´t see the video, it just shuts down.  I do it a lot in Sony Vegas, I am able to see the video as I move under the cursor on the timeline and it works fine, but I really prefer to use the first place, but exactly this problem is what is going to send me back to Vegas.

    My question basically boils down to: is there a way I can have first SHOW me the video under the cursor on the Timeline AS I MOVE it?

    Thank you very much in advance!

    War

    I don't know of a way to get the framework under the read head display when dragging a clip. However, if you use keyboard shortcuts to 'push' the clip left or right, the current image is shown.

    A completely different approach, if you have not tried, would be to use markers of audio video synchronization. Put a marker about synchronization in two clips, then select both, right click and select Synchronize. In the dialog box synchronize, select markers.

  • Dragging to the timeline transitions work in first 11 elements?

    Hello

    If you drag a transition in the timeline panel, between two clips, until you release the mouse button, you can place it on the left, centered or right of clips (the cursor looks like a kind of flag and changes according to the position between the clips).

    Theoretically, this should be the same to change the alignment in the Transitions settings dialog box but it does not work for me, whenever I release the mouse button, selects between Clips alignment.

    I read Adobe Premiere elements 11 classrooms in a book and Chapter 7 creating Transitions, it is said "in software testing used when writing this lesson, which you removed the transition did not affect the alignment shown in the Transition settings... dialog box

    It seems that this feature has not been improved since first elements 11 has been tested.

    Of , can someone tell me if this option works correctly, please?

    Thank you

    Marcos

    I should be ready soon to publish my links to very detailed information on the transitions video and audio of Premiere Elements.

    But the immediate report...

    If I have two video clips cut on the timeline of 11 items first and I drag the video transition left curtain Clip, between the Clips, or right Clip, Transition adjustments pop-up will be displayed. I find no cases yet where I can stop to appear with the placement of the transition. And, in the circumstances described (2 cup clips), auto "align on" will be between the clips, and that alignment will not change when I click on adjustments of Transition Pop - Up.

    This is in accordance with the instructions from Adobe who published what to expect for the alignment of the transition for the clips trimmed and uneducated.

    If I wanted video Clip alignment Clip left or right, I would have to have chosen this option until I clicked over to the pop-up.

    Do you see something very different than when you do the same thing with trimmed video clips and video transitions in items 11 first?

    Thanks for the follow-up.

  • Delete the layer and fill the empty place in the timeline with layers above

    Hello

    When I delete a layer of AE CS5.5, is there a way I can get all the other layers above him to retreat and to fill in the empty space in the timeline, without physcially having to pass them all?

    Not automatically.  But you can do this:

    Place the cursor in the timeline to the place where you first layer to begin once that everything is moved.

    Click on the layer immediately above the layer you want to delete.

    Shift-click on the upper - layer you have selected now all layers above the one to delete.

    Maj-do drag the selected layers.  They will align with the point where the cursor of the timeline.

    Once you have verified that all is well, delete this undesirable layer.

  • Stop in the timeline - do not show all layers. How?

    I am an experienced AfterEffects, FCP and user of Camtasia, but new to Captivate. Currently using Captivate CS5.5 and cannot understand why Captivate shows ALL layers of content when the PlayBar stops rather than only the active layers at this point in time. Is there a way to defeat this behavior? It makes me absolutely CRAZY! Cannot find the answer on other resources. -Thx!

    Hello

    When you edit the slide, you'll see all the objects that are on this slide. When you drag the playhead, you will see only the objects that are active at this time, but when you let the head of reading all the objects will be there once again. Sorry, it's as well as CP is designed. This move does not create real insight, who needs a temporary creation a SWF file. This is only possible with methods of real preview (F4, F8, F12). Captivate isn't a video application, such as Camtasia or AfterEffects. It has the benefits of having all the visible objects like to align the purposes; forget the pure video where the handling of different objects is not at all easy. If you want to align the beginning of a timeline object with playhead, use CTRL-L. Perhaps you will help my blog post on the timeline, it is for the starters in Captivate:
