All about magnified computer screen, how to fix this?

I accidentally hit the keys on my laptop and the screen went black. When he came again a few seconds later all she displayed has been amplified. Web pages, toolbars, desktop, computer. I think I accidentally hit some sort of hot key command that resizes the way everything is displayed. It is a real nuisance and I would fix it as soon as POSSIBLE. I checked my screen resolution and it is normal, in 800 x 600. I read an article that said that the problem can be eliminated by hiding or displaying the desktop icons, but that no longer works. I looked through the database Microsoft Help and this forum and Windows Help and Support and could not find anything that helped or even identified exactly what is my problem. I am running Windows Vista and my graphics settings are enabled by default. No matter what I try to display on my monitor - at the office, web browsers and no matter what program - everything is magnified. When I try to adjust my browser magnification using Ctrl - or +, only content in the border of the browser (all my toolbars) and bars and the size of changes in web browser window stay enlarged. How can I put my screen back to normal?

Hello dude_read, welcome.

1024 x 768 is actually the lowest accepted standard to watch content. If you are using the system at 800 x 600, you will have Visual problems, showing content that is designed for large resolutions.

If you change a 1024 x 768 screen, which should do the trick. Alternatively, you can change your DPI settings, but it is without doubt the low resolution you have set.

Let us know,

Thank you!
