All few minutes my L500 Statelite begins to lag and freezes
Just last week, I was in the fight of the problems with Statelite, PSLS9A/L500-025012. Every few minutes, or so it starts to lag and crashes especially on Firefox and IE Web pages. During this period, I can always access Win emails and other programs on the laptop.
It's frustrating, especially when you're in the middle of a game. Please advise as to what can be done. I tried the defrag and others.
Thank you.
Unfortunately, your ad does not offer any relevant info and it is not easy to say why this happens.
We don t know what you don t in the past, which other applications you use and your operating system configuration.
Try to start the cleaning action and remove all the unnecessary stuff from your laptop. Check also all the boot options and disable auto-start for all applications that you don't need.
Start with these simple steps. If the problem occurs again and again maybe is time for any new OS install.
Sorry, but it is not easy to tell what can be the problem.

All few minutes my computer has an error
All few minutes my computer has an error: plugin - container.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. -What it means and how to fix it?
Maybe as Support engineer who is hired by Microsoft does not know this plugin - container.exe is part of Firefox and has nothing to do with Windows XP.
You must be sure that you are on the latest version of Firefox (currently 11.0)
You need to clear your cache/temporary Internet files.
You must scan your system for malware.
It could be that you have a distressed Firefox extension, so you should check for updates too.
If the problem seems to occur regularly on any particular WWW site, this site could be afflicted in some way.
You should then see if the problem persists and if so, display the full message, you see.
No matter what you use for malware protection, follow these steps:
Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs at:
Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/These comprehensive analyses can take some time, but you really need to run. SAS will probably be just a bunch of Internet tracking cookies, but you can remove them. Once you have done at least a full analysis, you can do quick scans in the future to save time and save the analyses complete for when you have more time or are really suspicious of an infection of the system.
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.
In 1985, there were 11 known computer viruses. Today, there are over 70,000 and new threats are detected every day. Always update your virus definitions before running a scan.
Restart your computer and solve the outstanding issues. -
I'm not a computer scientist at all, but I tried some basics like system restore & better control as I can for all program of "rogue" running. This lady says "loss of service" every few minutes on average & I can't turn it down. Someone at - it ideas? Thank you...
Hello
If IE is involved and of the foregoing did not help.
Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - IE with no Addons - what works best?
IE - Tools - Internet Options - Advanced - tab click on restore, and then click Reset - apply / OK
IE - Tools - Internet Options - Security tab - click on reset all default areas - apply / OK
Close and restart IE
not better?
IE - tools - manage Addons (for sure disable SSV2 if she's here, it is no longer necessary but Java
installs and it causes more questions - have you never update Java to go back in and turn it off again.) Glance
for other possible problems.Windows Defender - tools - software explore - look for problems with programs that do not look right.
Allowed are usually OK and "unauthorized" are not always bad. If in doubt about a program, ask
topic here.Could be a free - BHOremover - BHO - standalone program, needs no installation, download and run.
not all are bad, but some can cause your question (toolbars are BHO).

Although PDF documents open and close normally otherwise, I get of an annoying pop-up message as follows box:
Head: C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\ARM\1.0\AdobeARM.exe
Message: Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You can not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.
I just continued to closing the message only to reappear a few minutes later, if I close it up! Is there a way to get rid of this?

Every few minutes (sometimes in less than 60 seconds, Firefox crashes upward. If I try to keep typing I have a message "do not answer" and will have to wait until he's going to continue. This always occurs when you browse through my e-mail, but it happens to other sites, whenever I have to type an entry. I have tried disabling all my modules and it still happens. I deleted Firefox and reloaded it and the problem persists. I'm about to go back to Microsoft Explorer, because it is too long to navigate in Firefox. I use Windows 7, 64 bit, on a one-year-old Dell with a lot of speed, laptop memory and hard disk space.
See Firefox crashes
Also, try running Firefox in questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode. If it works properly in this configuration, then one of your modules is the culprit.
I also notice a couple of old installations plugin in your system specs. I recommend you to update Flash on v10.2.159.1 which also addresses a recently discovered Zero Day exploit. See Adobe releases Flash Player security update
Update via http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/Also, go to the Windows Control Panel. Java and updated for v1.6.0_24 by clicking on 'Update Now' button.
You have AVG Safe Search, AVG Linkscanner or McAfee Secure Search installed? All three are problematic and tend to cause Firefox to slow down. They can be disabled in tools | Add - ons | Extensions.
If the problem persists despite the above measures, please let us know and we will try to help you further.

Windows blocks all a few minutes after the last round of updates and latest installation of IE
I ran the last round of updates of security and the upgrade of IE over the weekend. Now by PC crashes every 4 or 5 minutes. All I can do is to draw power and restart. the problem seems to happen more when messenger, IE, or firefox are used. Before I have to roll back (me is not very far away because I will need to perform these updates at somepoint) y at - it a common cause. I use a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop
First try unistalling IE8 and change your update settings:
Click Start > right click on computer > properties > Windows updates down the lower left corner > updates installed in the lower left corner in the next window
> then click the one that you don't want > uninstall will appear at the top > uninstall it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In addition, on the page where you clicked "Installed updates", click on change settings at the top left corner it
> Change update settings in the next page of AutoUpdate to "check for updates but let me choose etc" > OK ".
When you take a look at pending updates, you can either download/install them one at the time, namely the update causing you problems.
> or if you do not need an individual > right-click on > UAC prompt > hide it
See you soon
When unplugged, battery still reads 100 percent, dies a few minutes
Whenever my Y40 is unplugged, the computer shows the battery to 100% and never decreases. A few minutes later, the computer will turn off and will start. When I plug back in and turn it on, it shows the battery is very low and load normally, then shortly after showing 100% fully charged (it isn't). I tried the system restore and the following, which I saw posted in several places:
"First of all, shut down the laptop, unplug the power adapter, remove the battery and then hold the Power button for 30 seconds.
Now plug the power adapter without the battery inserted, start Notepad, open windows control panel, open Device Manager, expand the entry for batteries, click right on and the Microsoft ACPI compatible with battery control method and select uninstall - do not uninstall anything else here. When the uninstall is complete, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter, reinsert the battery and then start the laptop's battery. Windows will automatically reinstall the driver - leave Windows running for a few minutes and see if the battery level decreases as it should. »I don't know where to go from here. I bought the computer last year and suddenly started questions recently. I recently installed Start Is Back, but the Advanced System Restore does not resolve the issue. I am running Windows 8.1 and everything seems to be up to date. Any advice?
A window opens all the minutes titled 'Enter Network Password',
Original title: help please!
I am running Windows XP. My problem is the following:-a window opens all few minutes entitled "Enter network password", it may be either of my current ISP or the previous one which I did not have long. In this case no matter what I do on the computer. Can someone help me get rid of this?
If you no longer use a modem, you can safely remove all access to remote connections. Proceed as before you make the Connections tab and remove all connections by modem listed. I hope your problem will disappear. I can't explain why with "never dial" selected, you still get those dialups. Maybe you have some malicious software trying to get an internet connection in this way?
Do a full with your normal AV and then scan also with scanners to demand free MBAM and SAS. You can always delete them after scanning if you wish.
BSOD a few minutes after starting. And another after entering IE.
Wake up BSOD a few minutes after starting. Then I start and it's OK. Then when I go into IE I get a new one. Then, everything is OK for a long time (often for the rest of the day). Trouble started when I downloaded Firefox, while IE was found to have a big security problem. Download problems. Tried to go back to the previous state good. Still getting BSOD. Then I backed up all personal files, reinstalled windows 3 times! Still no luck. Updates seem to work. I have no material on it, more just printer, keyboard, mouse and speakers. Something about a Bad pool caller and something on a manually initiated crash appear to be the most common BSOD. Anyway, I don't understand all this. I tried to talk with Microsoft technical support, but they could not help and indicate that it could be the hard drive itself.
Someone at - it look at my https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=7C2BA0B8D210B559&id=7C2BA0B8D210B559%21105 minidump file
Thank you!!!
Windows Explorer stops and starts every few minutes on XP
I have Windows 7 every few minutes a message: "Windows explore is close and restart".
I took the following steps to resolve this problem, but not completely as in computer science, I'm afraid
I am groping in the dark:
1 - tried to clean the computer in SafeMode to network using Tweaking.com after the first
disable the anti-virus
2-scans for corrupted files (using cmd in start then sfc/scannow) but there is no apparent integrity
violations
3 reset
Browing 4-delete history
Unable to read the 5 modules
These actions appear to have had no effect and power problem.
I'd appreciate any help in simple words and I'll buy you a beer a day
When I open a web page any using firefox, its ok for a few minutes, then he opens another page saying it is redirected for no reason at all, the homepage remains open, but the other page start for no reason at all in another tab
It's very consistent, he arrives a few minutes? In this case, I suggest this test:
To find out if one of your extensions is the culprit, could you test mode without failure of Firefox? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.
You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:
- button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
- Help menu > restart with disabled modules
Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still works
After stops in Firefox, a small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not reset).
Any difference?
