  I am a new user of recent Mac and I have some difficulty with the Pages.

  I'll create a new document and save it as a PDF file (save it to the desktop), when I open it again, it opens with Acrobat Reader and the text released along side this one pane. It does not open a document own stand alone. This cause me a problem when I want to send it as an attachment, as it includes this component, as well as all other toolbars with.

  When you send the PDF document as an attachment, it will be sent as a document 'stand alone '. It will be open according to the preferences that are set by the receiving party.

  Open default programs by clicking the Start button, click default programs.

  In the default programs, you can:

  ·         Set your default programs. This option allows to choose the programs that Windows uses by default. If you want to use your Media Player to open all media files, use this option.

  ·         If a program does not appear in the list, you can make the default program using set Associations.

  ·         Open default programs by clicking the Start button, click default programs.

  ·         Click associate a file type or Protocol with a program.

  ·         Click on the file type or protocol that you want the program to act as the default.

  You can do a right click on this PDF file and select open with "Adobe Reader".

  This will open the PDF file in Adobe Reader.

  In my view, Acrobat must have been set as your default PDF Viewer and this is the reason why you are facing challenges while displaying a PDF file.

  Follow the steps above. I can't help you.

  In addition, Adobe reader is a free software from Adobe. If you have not installed in your system, you can get it on the web. Here is the link for the same thing.

  Ppl repeatedly face problems when opening. EXE files.

  • The EXE file opens in Notepad.
  • EXE file opens in a few other installed programs.
  • Windows displays the 'Open with' dialog box to select the program.
  • Windows displays the error message "Windows cannot find .exe file. Make sure you typed the name correctly.

  Most of the time it happens when you accidentally replace. Type of exe to Folder Options settings. Sometimes, it can happen due to the virus.

  In any case no need to worry. Here's a solution that will fix this annoying problem:

  1. open RUN command prompt by typing the command in the dialog box.

  2 provide now following command:

  cd\windows

  3 it will activate the Windows folder. Now provide following command to open the Registry Editor:

  Regedit

  4 now goto following key:

  HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe

  In the right pane, change the value of default elements exefile key

  5 now goto:

  HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Exefile\Shell\Open\Command

  In the right pane, change the value of the default key to:

  "%1" %*

  6 that's it. Now, quit the registry editor and restart your Windows. Now you should be able to open EXE files without any problem.

  5 pages is located in your Applications folder.

  Pages ' 08 is located in your Applications/iWork ' 08 folder.

  If you open your old documents Pages ' 08 with 5 Pages it will convert and if not damage, remove a large number of useful features.

  You will probably regret upgrading to 5 Pages which Apple has made extremely inconsistent and keeps changing its file format.

• Command 'Open with Acrobat (DC)' Tiffs gives a very bad quality picture

  We mainly work in Tiff format for everything, images high resolution ("photographs") of large Photoshop files and so on.

  Our workflow for years has been to open a TIFF with Acrobat to get the best available printer options. Since the update of DC (this is when I noticed that my PC in the studio was the first to upgrade to the DC version) I can longer open TIFF without Acrobat to automatically run a series of "Optimizations" as a result of terrible quality and unusable images. I searched around for any kind of file properties specific management and in the forum for what options whatsoever in this respect and found nothing. The single forum thread about this issue had to do with the file combining and questions later 'optimize' which does not apply to this question.

  I'm not optimize or want to reduce the quality of my images somehow, I want to only open with Acrobat in full resolution, as it had always done in order to maximize our printing options.

  Is this a bug?

  If not, where can I tell Acrobat to let my only Tiffs?

  I am not suggestions looking to use JPEG files or other formats that our library is huge and continually file conversion is not a viable option. As it is the rest of the studio cannot update to Acrobat DC.

  Thanks for the report. We are sorry that you are facing this problem.

  Here is a workaround for the same thing.

  For the DC version, please perform the following steps to solve your problem:

  1. Launch Acrobat Pro DC.
  2. Go to "create a PDF file" from the "Tools" menu or the right pane.
  3. Select "single file" and then click on "Select a file".
  4. Access any file "TIFF" with which you are confronted with the question. Select and click "Open" in the dialog box.
  5. You should be able to see the thumbnail of the file correctly.
  6. Under the tile, you should see a small gear with the title "Advanced settings" icon Click on it.
  7. In the "Adobe PDF settings" dialog, uncheck the "Scan Optimization" and click OK.
  8. Close the application "create a PDF file" and start working again with your TIFF files.

  Result: No "optimizations" run TIFF files.

  I hope this helps.
