• LaserJet P2055d: Printer that works does not appear in all programs or programs in the control panel

  I had help from HP support as my LaserJet P2055d did not work properly. The cooperative has taken over my computer (Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit) and got, it works.   Thanks for all your great suggestions, (workspaces were not working properly, the reset did not work, and there was no possibility of control on the window), there was only one thing that has worked, reinstalling Windows and ALL the rest (what a job!). But everything works great now.  I suspect the registry problems, corrupted "stuff." This is the realm of "techno-geeks" and well beyond me, but it works now.

• XP Sp3 cannot change the resolution. All of a sudden changed on 3 PC 20 overnight.

  I have a client with DT 20 HP Business class PC with XP Pro and all are Sp3. They were very well one day. First one and then another and then another reset screen 640 x 480 and I can not change the resolution. They are all the same material. Video NVIDIA 6150. They have all been analysed and have no malware, etc. We tried to uninstall the video driver and put it back in place of the original, install the latest driver from Nvidia, then later that of HP without result.  We tried to restore a system to a week earlier to nothing does not. We tried using the user admin rather than an opening of rights 'user' and yet one time not the ability to change the Res. Any ideas? At this stage it seems certain day MS like this everything that can be install from one day to the next on all 3 PC. I cannop imagine that all 3 had video card failure.

• Introduction 'sounds', etc. have suddenly stopped. Control Panel 'sounds' tells OK!

  Only concerned noises are: signature/signature off - for incoming mail - error alerts, etc.

  Problem solved!  the "mute" on the toolbar below has been 'on '.  Very small icon and easily missed.

• How to: using the same control panel for several vi and reproducing change to the control panel.

  I created a labview project that contains about 40 vi.  Each vi has a joint control panel which is a group of ip address, or address of the port and the parameters that are passed high-level vi at low level vi for the purpose of control and access our daq cards.  As this control panel exists in all the vi and must not be the same there is a problem when the need to make a change or update the controls during development.  The problem is how long it takes to go and change the control panel of each single vi.  I wish I had a way of reproducing a change in the Panel of control through all six simultaneously.

  All controls in the control panel are in a bundle, so all values are passed to 1 thread.

  I tried to turn the Panel in a sub vi and this way I can just "create control" and have output parameters maniuplate vi, but if I update the vi, I still have to go back and create a new control for each vi under the control has changed.

  I tried using secondary and the creation of the control panel in a sub vi which is displayed in the secondary, but gives the undesirable consequence of not being able to view or change the settings of the control panel if the program does not work, as pristine as when sub-panels program does not work.

  Yes a def type might help you and I would take the next step to make a strict type def if you want the look to be the same on all its bodies. You can also view this nugget on Type definitions for more idea about it.

However, Setup installs and activates the update of Java without any recognition of the user. In case you do not want to have a background task running periodically check the updates you must manually change the registry to get rid of this process.

  Click Start, run and enter in the box:

  Click OK, and when the system info summary appears, click on edit, select all (Ctrl-A), copy (Ctrl-C) and paste (Ctrl-V) the information back here.

  Not really - they would not be able to get there.
