Update of data /Operating System update

When a Microsoft Windows operating system or the security update is deployed, to correct, to prevent a 'problem' in Microsoft Windows devices: phones, computers?

Is possible problems, such an event can cause with other devices, attaches to USB, and are compatible with Microsoft Windows devices?

Taken into account in the development, the introduction of this operating system, updates?

As it may require a later update to correct the, these "problems" caused by the update?

Although other devices compatible systems operating and system updates can take part of the "rap" for problems?

  • Update XP Pro x 64 to a new operating system

I have some problems with my PC and I wonder if the operating system upgrade will help?

I am running XP Pro x 64 with Service Pack 2, but don't want to lose existing data installed, programs, etc. that I picked up a bit over the last 7 years its been running.

Can someone advise if please how to on this subject with minimum upset and less expensive - I don't necessarily want the latest operating system, but don't know which is compatible with the 64-bit system, I am currently running.

I am running XP Pro x 64 with Service Pack 2, but don't want to lose existing data installed, programs, etc. that I picked up a bit over the last 7 years its been running.

    Sorry, cannot be done.

First, Windows XP (all editions) will be "End of Life" next April.  This means that more no support from Microsoft and no longer updates 'critiques' or 'security '.  Your installation will not turn into a pumpkin, but it will be more vulnerable to attack.

Although Windows XP qualifies you to purchase a version "upgrade" to Windows 7 (what I'm suggesting rather than Windows 8), you must do an install clean (Microsoft now calls a "custom" installation).  Although you can use the "Windows Easy Transfer" that Microsoft provides with Windows 7 to help pass your "files" and then "settings", you will need to reinstall all of your existing programs the installation media original (for example, CD/DVD/download install files).

You are also right that Outlook Express disappeared.  I've never used any version of OE, so I can't offer any advice on saving your current e-mail files.  You can ask in the forum "Email and communication."

Personally, I used Thunderbird since many years.  When I moved from XP to Windows 7, I used a program called MozBackup to create a backup of my old email files.  When I installed you bird on Windows 7, I used MozBackup to import this file.

After having decided to install the Windows Update my computer told me was available all my software as my programs MS Offfice is no longer open.  I don't know what to do.  The only thing that still works is the Windows Media Player.  I can't open Word or Excel, I can't access my photos.  Open Internet Explorer is like a weird nightmare but I am able to access the Internet.  I tried reinstalling my MS Office software, which did not work.  I have no idea what to do to solve the problem, but I need my computer back. It was good except for its slow, when I open certain programs, now I can't access something.  Any ideas what I should do to correct the nightmare?

  • FixIt center operating system is not compatible Windows and update does not work due to 8007066

I have an Asus Essentio with Windows 7 Professional. Although the computer was working ok, I installed the FIX It Professional [I bought it to install on my computer to girls] for the interview. Since then, I had several problems with slow MSN Mail and slow performance. I uninstalled the product and to restore the computer to the date of installation of the software. Here are some of the problems I have:

When you try to run Microsoft difficulty It Center I get a message "the operating system is not compatible and must be XP or newer" which it obviously. I've used this program in the past without any problems and actually have a user account, but it still does not work.

Trying to access Microsoft support told me that the software is not "enabled" even though it says it's under System properties, and the product number is not saved, even if it has been for more than 8 months.

Whenever I click on the MSN butterfly, a security message wonder if Explorer is allowed to make changes to my computer. Not a big deal, but remember why nobody liked Vista and I would like to get rid of him.

A Windows Update does not work due the 8007066f, who doesn't have a solution, but updated logo keeps interrupting my work.

    Thanks for any help.

I suggest an Inplace upgrade to fix your computer.

The upgrade in place is a tool to fix the system. Thanks to the special upgrade process, we will be able to repair the system. The upgrade in place will not affect the settings like photos, movies, documents, etc. that are saved on the computer. Although this operation will not remove or modify the files and installed programs, I suggest always that you back up important files before you do. In addition, you may need to reinstall the device drivers after this operation.

The detailed steps are included as below:

    On-site upgrade
    ====================
1 log on to the system first.
    2. Insert the Windows 7 DVD in the DVD drive of the computer.
    3. Click Start and select computer.
    4. find the "setup.exe" file in the DVD-ROM and double-click it.

    5. click on install now.

    6. When you are prompted to enter the product key, please click Next directly without entering any key. The installation wizard will prompt and ask if you confirm to install Windows 7 without the key and choose please confirm.

    7. When you get to the screen ' which type of installation you want', click upgrade to upgrade the Windows 7 system files.

Note: When running the upgrade on the spot, the system will restart automatically (several times) to merge the files and programs, please leave the computer alone and does not configure it until the 'upgrade on the spot"finished. The system should start Windows 7, once it is upgraded. Once the computer is running "upgrade on the spot", you can go and leave the computer and it completes automatically.

Let us know if that helps.

Try a forced reboot. Hold down the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons at the same time for about 15 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Then go to settings > general > storage & use iCloud > manage storage (the first) > and if there is an update, delete. Then go to settings > general > Software Update and try again.

My iPhone-ish syncs with macbook pro when it comes to iTunes. Message reads "iPhone need latest version of iTunes. I can't understand how to upgrade iTunes on the iPhone, unless it comes to update the operating system. I guess I have the latest OS, 9.3.2 on my iPhone. Any help for this problem?

    • Sync with iTunes on a Mac or a PC requires:

iTunes too old and too old osx to support necessary to have iTunes, you will need to update osx to update iTunes to work

  • iPadPro9.7 said that current operating system 9.3.1 will not update 9.3.2

Tried to update OTA on my iPad 9.7 Pro 9.3.2 this morning - 128 space gray WiFi - and it doesn't let me do. 9.3.1 is the current operating system. I turned off the back. Same status. And then did a hard reboot - equal status. I turned on my iMac (mid 2011 running 10.9.5) try a connected update. No, same iTunes says 9.3.1 on iPad model is the current version.

I still have a gray (1) settings > general > software update on the iPad, but no red (1) on the home screen settings.

Just did a hard reboot and tried the new OTA - still says 9.3.1 update is underway. Once again connected to the iMac and that check for update. "This version of the software iPad (9.3.1) is the current version."

iPod 12,9 Pro went to 9.3.2 What fine OTA, acknowledges iMac iPad mini (original) must be updated so it is not a problem with my iMac or it's OS. Just did the OTA update on iPM and it had the problem where I had to return my ID to get the update to install after you download it (as he did go to 9.3.1). He is installing... in the meantime... still holding... Finally, SUCCESS. [and I forget that there no TouchID]

So my model which would have bricked, if I did the update earlier? And with the new version of update on the Apple servers it just doesn't let me update to prevent it from becoming a brick?

I'm patient. I do not force an update.

Go to settings > general > storage & use iCloud > manage storage (the first) > and if there is an update, delete it. Then go to settings > general > Software Update and try again.

Hello, you must install the version of the java plugin which corresponds to your Web browser. Firefox is available only in 32-bit version for now (it will run on windows 7 64 bit in any case) - so for java to work in firefox, you will also need to install the 32-bit plugin: http://java.com/download/windows_xpi.jsp
