All running slow

I have a Pavilion A305w-Yes, an old slower Computer.Everything runs slowly and hang up and sometimes hangs. Add more memory work this out? I have much 760 MB of ram Now.How might add safely, without messing anything up? Also what type of memory card do I need? I know there area pair different cards available. Thanks for any help.

Perhaps you need to analyze your compture to see if there is any spyware software running in the back ground... my computer dell laptop slowed subtainally and after you run Spybot and removed nearly 100 spywares, I noticed a decent change in performance.

Also run msconfig (from execution options in the menu start) and go to the startup and removing programs you don't need.

Hope that helps.

6 easy tips to speed up OS X Yosemite on your Mac.

Avoid using third-party software that claims to clean your computer. This software does more harm than good. In addition, you don't need it. Note that all computers become slower over time even in the normal conditions of use. Generally, the experienced users erasing the hard drive and do a clean install from scratch at least once a year or every time that the installation of a major upgrade of the OS. Well sure doing so also means that you need to maintain regular and several backups.

Add more RAM or reduce the number of simultaneously executed from applications and utilities. Remove unnecessary software such as anti-malware and that promises to clean your Mac. Look for the runaway process: Runaway applications can shorten the battery life, affect performance and increase the heat and fan activity. I used to work only on PC, but now I have this 2009 macbook Pro.  He had a record of 7200 RPM... but he died... I want to put a hybrid SSHD on it... will it run slower?

Several years ago I tested both a hybrid version Seagate 1 and later version 2 with my 13 "2009 MBP and the computer started more quickly with one of these drives with 7200 RPM drive. But that and save files were the only time where I saw an improvement of high speed. So no, not slower, but not really all that much faster. I ended up installing an SSD in the computer. Now that was an improvement.

    Hi friends

Since I bought this machine, I am not happy.
There is a problem: he works so slow than other laptops and they have inferior properties.
    I don't understand.

I almost have to break. I've done all the tips (uninstall tempro, stop the backround programs, program viruses... etc) but it's the same.
-J' I want to listen to an mp3 that is not open for ten seconds, watch the movie it is not open again for 9 to 10 seconds.
-i wana to connect to a site web it freezes
-for example the search for Messenger is taking once again for secondssssss
-implementation of xp, it is hourssss
but the machines of my friends who have inferior properties are so fast

Is there someone has this machines? It has the same problems? or only I have these problems?

Thank you very much right now.

    Hi mate

    > Configuration of xp, it is hourssss
This means that you have tested the laptop under Win XP?

How did you install the Win XP? Have you installed using AHCI mode (in BIOS) or you switch to compatible mode?

By using the compatibility mode that HARD drive could run slower and this could affect the performance of the operating system.

Solution: You must install the Win XP in AHCI mode. I think the laptop supports the AMD chipset and the required drivers are therefore part of the ATI graphics chip.
Download the graphics driver, choose the drivers SATA and include it in the Win XP disc using nLite application. nLite is free and all details can be found in the internet.

  • After getting my A200 Satellite games run slower

I have a laptop Satellite A200 - 14 d with Vista (32) that came pre-installed. I had to format and use the product recovery DVD for vista reinstalled with all the drivers.

The problem is: before formatting, according to me, there was another application installed for the video card, which now she either. Also games run slower. Until the format in the Device Manager to display adapters there were 2 things. The pilot who has reinstalled successfully and something else I don't remember what it was and who does not also install after the recovery of the product operation...

Then. can someone tell me which software I can use to improve the performance of my 7300 GO game?...

    Hello

    > The problem is: before formatting, according to me, there was another application installed for the video card that now he not more
Do you think that it was preinstalled or are you 100% sure?

Believe me, the same operating system and the software that was preinstalled on your laptop is on the Toshiba Recovery CD.
    The software is the same.
So if you want to define the notebook to factory setting you should use the recovery CD ;)

Is that all the games work more slow on Vista. This OS feeds more resources than XP.
So if you want to play games faster I advise to use XP

  • PC running slow increadibly with 128 MB of RAM - recommended to increase the RAM

Original title: pc running slow increadibly with 128 MB of RAM

My mother's PC runs incredibley slowly.
After you perform a clean installation of win xp and addition of firefox, and avast antivirus, pc still increadibly slow.
His laptop is a HP Omnibook xe4100 and has 128 MB of ram.
What I do need to update the ram of the laptop computer or is the problem of something that can be fixed with software recording cleaning?
Thanks for any help on this!

If you did a clean install, it is not the registry slow down your computer. A clean installation removes all and back windows on the system with just windows files, so the registry is only what is absolutely need to run.

128 MB of RAM is incredibly low, so even if the slowness is caused by something else, you should buy more in any case, because it will help the computer a little.

  • Windos XP and Internet Explorer runs slow after turning to...

I really hope that someone can help me that the Forums have proved useful to me in the past.  This is my last issue.

One of my parents, for reasons that I won't, get updated his cable, phone and internet in one of these beams that offers local, rather than paying for phone company each separately.  She has an office of older model PC that runs Windows XP and worked it, Office 2003 (if the memories are good) and Internet Explorer (I mean IE8) very well and quickly.

After its upgrade of the high-speed line was complete one of the first things I did was to go to Microsoft to download a bunch of updates as it had been on dial until it was impossible to download everything that she needed (she had not kept with it but also rarely used the computer to get on the net so it was not that big a deal).  All XP downloaded approximately 77 updates and after a while successfully installed all of them.  He then restarted and soon after started incredibly slow operation.

Because it runs more slowly now that when she was on the dial upwards, she is ready to get rid of its highspeed which I said.  I think that one or more of 77 more updates, I installed may have done something.  Also his internet browser now looks like my laptop (Acer with Vista and IE 9) so I think that maybe his version of XP and IE do not play nice with them.  Finally something told me she had a Trojan horse, and some adware that I used Lavasoft to get rid of and their last free version is installed with moy.

Any help would be appreciated to untangle what is causing his PC suddenly run slow.  I'm tempted to use a restore point and go back, but I'm not sure how to go (and really, I've never used a prior restore point).  I'm half tempted to simply restore the entire hard drive but would have a copy of XP (I don't have a copy of Windows 98 that I some how came in possession of CD).

  • Computer running slow after the removal of McAfee.

A few months ago, I removed McAfee from my computer (windows vista). Since then, he has really slow, constantly "not responding" and takes about two hours to get on the same page (before crashing again). Initially, I removed the program via the control panel. When I look at the performance data, I've got a base score of 3. The report of health system tells me that the beginning we is slow because of 'on-access scanner service', "mcshield.exe file name." I tried the selective startup options, try turning it off, but I can't find the program.

I also ran the McAfee tool (from their website) to remove it, but no luck.

Can you help me? He drives me crazy.

  • Several processes that are running on the standard user account because it runs slow and internet does not "."

Create a user profile for children on PC 32-bit W7 with MS Family Safety.

Recently they have complained he "runs slow and internet does not work.

After playing for a little, I realized a ton of processes were running in the background. I couldn't run msconfig to their profile (not administrator) and after some research, I even if the profile has been corrupted.

I created a new profile, but now the same thing is happening a few days later.

See below; multiple copies of the same process are running. This happens within 2 m after the log-in and I only started one program.

I started in safe mode with network and ran Windows defender, Spybot S & D and my virus scanner (all full scans) and turned up nothing malicious.  A few cookies tracking in the web cache, but nothing out of the ordinary.  I searched for the files wlaacmgr.exe and dplaysvr.exe (b/c they do not appear running in my admin profile) but they were found only in windows OS directories.  I understand that they are files of W7 but some maleware recreates.

Many of them are the same files taking up process on the old profile that I deleted.

Any help or suggestion as to why I have multiple copies of large processes running on the machine?  As I wrote it, I sign in, seems to be fine for one but 2 minutes a lot of process appear repeatedly and slows down the computer to a crawl.

These two files listed are not at all on my admin profile and the machine works fine in my admin profile.  Even with open Photoshop, the CPU is only about 50% under my profile.

Try to check/change the entries in startup with Autoruns from Sysinternals, which should work on the limited account to see its startup items.

    Hi Charlesdurbin,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community.

If I understand correctly you have a performance issue with your computer and the Internet.

He would be grateful if you can answer these questions to help you further.

    1. have you made changes on the computer before this problem?
    2. what version of Internet Explorer you are using, if you are using Internet Explorer?
    3. is it limited while accessing a particular application?

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

Optimize Windows 7 for better performance: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Optimize-Windows-7-for-better-performance

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again, the data files that are infected can be cleaned by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
