Almost all programs receive an error "ceased to function.

Hello, at the moment, I feel a very frustrating problem that involves most of the programs on my Windows 7 PC, to stop working. More in detail, with almost all my programs lately I could not properly run/open them. Whenever I get an error message saying, "(nom dele de programme) has stopped working". " There is not much I can explain more in detail on this. Here are a few screenshots of the example:

With almost any program, NOT only of PowerDirector 10, I get this error message:

Next, I get this error message within seconds of receipt of each other:

I get this error message with programs such as: Windows Media Player, Windows Explorer, PowerDirector 10, etc..

Here's what I tried to help him with this problem:

  1. Internet research, on pages such as Microsoft Community Forums, EHow.com, Microsoft Support page, etc.
  2. Troubleshooting in many ways (IE compatibility, maintenance)
  3. Uninstall programs I need is no longer.
  4. Run a Registry Cleaner and the cleaner files using an antivirus program.
  5. Analyze the system of the computer in its entirety for malicious malware, virus, etc.

Here are some of my features to the computer:

  • Windows operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium - 64-bit
  • Model: Compaq - Presario CQ57

Any help or thoughts is greatly appreciated, thank you!

Registry cleaners can have side effects that in the worst case programs cause or the failed system, they are not needed and do nothing for the system - other than to cause problems

What have you cleaning use? What's cleaner for installation of changes to come back?

  • Exceptionally the use of CPU high by almost all programs

    I have a BIG problem with my computer. It starts more than a week, and since then, I tried to fix it. The problem is that almost all the programs I use takes up 100% of my CPU usage. The only thing that aren't the window program, but they also take a lot of the CPU usage. It is not the usual 1-3 dry of high CPU usage using all programs. It's the high utilization of the processor for a long period of time. A Youtube video causes my CPU to go to 100% just by playing. Also, scans, surf the Web and things escalate. My computer is running very slowly because of this. It is about 2 - 3 times slower. It's strange because my computer would be rarely more than 60% for more than 5 seconds. The amount of memory of my programs are not unusual. It's just that the CPU part is medium to high. I am not able to play a game and open a web browser without massive lag on these two programs. I've done everything I can. I did a restore for one day before it happened, and it did not work. I'm looking for viruses with McAfee Microsoft essentials and Ad-ware antivirus and removed all threats. I clean my computer with CCleaner and Advanced system of care. I scanned for spyware with spybot S & D, Superantispyware. I checked for maleware with Malewarebytes. But the problem is not resolved. I really need help. If you want me to download something to scan my computer I'm for her, because currently, I'm desperate.

    Another thing. I have an Intel Core 2 Quad CPU. But in msconfig, I can't select 4 processors in advance options in the boot section. I only shows 1 for some reason any. I could really use the help.

    Hello

    "I'm looking for viruses with McAfee Microsoft essentials and Ad-ware antivirus and removed all threats"

    I hope that you removed McAfee or Microsoft Security Essentials, you shouldn't have two antiviruses installed.

    Having more than one AV installed can cause system hangs, freeze, etc..

    And you have a message on the HP Support Forums concerning your query processor that you did not

  • During the installation of a program, receive the error message that Windows Installer is not installed properly on Vista

    I tried to install a program and I got an error message that says "Windows Installer" is not installed correctly and I need to contact the support staff.  I get also a message when I log that says steetings.ini is occupied by another program and it will not allow the sidebar to come.

    Try the Windows Installer Cleanup utility to troubleshoot the problem with Windows Installer:http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Secure-cleaning/Windows-Installer-CleanUp-Utility.shtml.

    For the issue of the Sidebar, do a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.  If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem.   Follow the procedures described in the article.  Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall.  Once remember to put Vista in normal status, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Help! Impossible to open or run almost all programs after Windows Update KB976002 'Browser Chooser' was automatically installed.

    I had, very unwisely, allowed the Windows updates should be installed automatically.  An update installed itself on 15 March 2010, KB976002 who is called the browser selector.  This canoe be uninstalled and reading other forums, I understand it could be something that was forced into the EU.  His goal is probably to allow users of two or more internet browsers to choose how they hire, but since it installed itself that I could not open or run most of the other programs including MS Office, Skype, iTunes, while others can be opened only if chosen to be administrator.  If I could, I would like to uninstall this update.  Similar defects there?  Any help please?

    Understanding Windows Update and Extras in Windows Vista at the link above.

    Remove the Vista updates; two ways to do this:

    1. a System Restore to before the updates:

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > System Restore > restore time/choose your own date > next

    If you use Norton, disable it before using the system restore.

    If it is impossible to enter the Normal Mode, do a Safe Mode system restore:

    Press F8 at the startup/power and the list of startup options, use THE ARROW key to select Safe mode > and then press ENTER.

    System restore steps according to the info above.

    Also:

    2. click on start > right click on computer > properties > Windows updates down the lower left corner > updates installed in the lower left corner in the next window

    > then click the one that you don't want > uninstall will appear at the top > uninstall it.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, on the page where you clicked "Installed updates", click on change settings at the top left corner it
    > Change update settings in the next page of AutoUpdate to "check for updates but let me choose etc" > OK ".
    When you take a look at pending updates, you can either download/install them one at the time, namely the update causing you problems.
    Make a check of malware with several malware scanning of programs on the Windows computer.
    Please scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.
    All of these programs have free versions.
    Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.
    Alternatively, you can write a check for an infection rootkit TDSSKiller.
