Almost everyday to reinstall C5280 All-in-One Printer

Almost everyday to reinstall the all-in-one printer HP C5280 Photosamrt.  It adds an icon to the list of the Printers icon in Control Panel.  Until I have 4 or more, I uninstall and try again.

When I try to print an article, received no response and no error message. This experience has occurred for a month or two.

Please write back to me with the information. You said that you have uninstalled the software and drivers several times but I just wanted to try one more time, but instead to use the cd to reinstall, I suggest that we use the drivers and software updates. Please remove the usb cable from the printer and the computer (please let disconnect you until further notice). On your computer, click Start, then select all programs, then go to the yellow folder that says HP, once in the folder, click on your printer. You should see a file that says that you can click on uninstall. Once the uninstall is complete you be prompted to restart your computer, please do so. When the computer is back up and running, please go to your folder, devices and printers, and make sure that everything has been removed and that has to do with HP. If you still see printers from the Printers folder, you may go to add/remove programs and delete files just deal with your HP printer. Restart the computer again. Once the computer is back, please click on the link I provided with the HP Photosmart C5280 All-in-one print drivers and download the file to your desktop of your computer so that you can find. Once the download is complete, double-click on the icon and follow the instructions. Please, do not connect the USB cable until you are prompted to do so.

If you need further help, please let me know.

Thank you.

  • Leave the printer HP photosmart C5280 All in one printer, Windows XP, to printing several pages

Printer was working fine a few months ago. nothing has changed since then, except now when I tried to copy 2 or several pages on a single page/sheet of paper, I receive one copy on the half of the page. The other half is empty. I tried 4 pages on a single page, always I only have one page on 1/4 of the page.

I have uninstall and Reinstalled the software. I don't know what model do?

There, can someone help me? Of course, I would appreciate your help

Very well.  You will need make the document a two page document.  Just copy what you have on the first page and paste it on the second page.  This should make everything feel right.  You must have the number of pages to print on one page in the document before it will print.

  • HP Photosmart C5280 All-in-one: HP Photosmart C5280 All in one will not wotk on new install

I bought an HP Photosmart C5280 All in One several previously used and used with a dell dimension running windows xp woitout problems.  .  I rcently purchased a dell Windows 7 Professional or with a processor 15.  I reinstalled everything and get test of allignment of cartridges, and it keeps failing.  I did the partial reset and semi.  It wil not scan or copy.  Help, please.

    Hello @mgsindy,

Thanks for getting back to me on this subject. I am pleased to hear that the issue of alignment has been resolved. However, because you get the message when copying or scanning that has occurred a "failure" and you screen gets stuck on 'Cancel' for the copy, you experience a hardware failure with your copy/scan inside your printer mechanism.

Because the programming of your printer control the scanning/copying mechanism, I checked in an update of Firmware for your product to see if there was an update available in the corrupt case programming was causing your issue. Unfortunately, due to the age of your product, it is not these updates.

You also mentioned that you did a semi Full reset programming on your printer, nothing helps.

At this point, I will provide you the failure of scan standard troubleshooting steps to see if there is a chance to solve this problem.

    Step 1: Power Reset:

    1. With the printer, unplug the cable from power for 30 seconds
    2. After that 30 seconds reconnect the power cable from back in
    3. The printer should return its own
    4. Once the printer returns to the ready state, again test the copy feature.

    Step 2: Verification of power:

Power strips and surge protectors can cause HP printers do not work properly because they can run out of power. To ensure that a power problem is not causing your Scanner failure, please plug the unit directly into the wall outlet.

Once your printer is directly to a wall jack please test again the copy function. If the problem persists, please continue to the next step.

Step 3: Check the Scanner Bar and light:

    1. Feed your printer
    2. Lift the lid flat on your printer and click the copy button
    3. Check if the scanner bar is moving or if the scanner lamp turns on.

Source: A "Failure of scan" Message appears on the all-in-one control panel and you can not scan, copy, or fax

If there is no response from the mechanism of scanning, the last step would be the printer to service.

At this point, if the problem persists I suggest you contact the Technical Support queue by phone to explore additional options.

HP Technical Support can be reached at the: 800-474-6836.

  • E14 ACER: EXPIRY DATE OF CARTRIDGE IN HP PHOTOSMART C5280 ALL-IN-ONE

HOW CAN I REPLACE EXPIRED INK CARTRIDGE IN THE PRINTER ALL-IN-ONE PHOTOSMART C5280 HP?

    Hey @mmaxxor,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are looking for a way to override the expiration date for all-in-one printer, HP Photosmart C5280 ink cartridge. I want to offer you information about expiration dates.

Expiration dates can be reset on cartridges. But expired cartridges should work correctly in your HP Photosmart too long that the cartridges have been installed on your printer before expiry. If you bought new cartridges that have already expired they likely won't work in your printer and there is no replacement for that cartridges are expired. If this is the case, you may want to consider bringing back them to the store or speaking with our Technical Support phone queue to explore additional options.

If you had a cartridge installed in your HP Photosmart camera and would use very well and at random, to get the message that the cartridge has not expired, you should be able to hit OK on this message and continue using the printer as per normal.

For more information on the guarantee one couverture coverage for ink cartridges and printheads, please click on here.

Please let me know if the information I have provided solves your problem. Good luck!

  • I FORGOT the ADMIN PASSWORD FOR - (WEB PAGE) - HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer - N911g

    Hi all

I changed my network SSID & PW but I forgot the password for the printer web page.

Password was written in a notebook and notebook is moved at the moment by the cleaning person.

Please HELP! Is there anyway I can reset the printer so that the admin password is also re-set. I try to reinstall the software printers, also I am not able to change the ip address and right now, there is no ip address... get no link and no ip address and no network... Please anyone who can help... Please help.

    * I read some part... to power off the printer, then press the power button on... and continue pressing the back button where he would have, for some time the printer is back back (it was to reset the printer)... which is about 23 times... zero.

I really want to THANK you ALL for READING THIS & YOUR TIME. So please help if you can...

    and ideas?

    Thank you, xxVEGASxx

    * xxVEGASxx *.

You can do a reset of the printer using the LED screen on the printer.

Select Configuration, then Tools, then restore the default settings. "Restore default settings" is the last element of the list and you will have to scroll down to see it.

Which erases all settings, including the password for the printer.

To reset you describe is probably the one mentioned in this article:

    http://resetprinters.com/how-to-reset-the-HP-OfficeJet-Pro-8600-premium-all-in-one-printer/

but it's probably a deeper reset that you really need anyway.

  • All-in-one printer, HP OfficeJet 6210xi crippled

I installed my portable printer all-in-one OfficeJet 6210xi more than 4 years ago. Everything worked well. About two years ago, I replaced my PC with WinXP Pro's home computer. Everything worked well. A few months later, I bought my wife a printer wireless HP DeskJet 6980 for his iMac. The installation was easier to run from my XP PC, so I have installed the software on the iMac and the XP PC, was the game of the XP PC then both the iMac and PC XP have been able to print to the HP 6980 wireless and the XP PC has been able to use all functions of the 6210xi all-in-one printer.

Whenever there is a dialog box informing me of a software update for each printer on the XP PC or iMac, I accepted the update. Everything worked fine until a year ago, then the XP PC locked up in the middle of the scan of an image from the 6210. He had no other choice but to keep the power switch of the XP PC until the shutdown of the PC. "Windows Task Manager" can complete the task.

When I rebooted, I got a message that Windows did not find file HPSoftwareUpdate.msi. I used Windows 'Search' to find the file, but the message rejected this file. For weeks, I have ' X'ed ' on the box dialog at every reboot and everything still worked fine, but one day, when I was offered a software update and I could not receive it. The company said that it lacked HPSoftwareUpdate.msi.

I googled the problem and read that I have to uninstall and reinstall the HP software for the 6210. No help. I lived with the problem because everything worked fine, except that I could print is no longer to the XP PC HP 6980. The iMac has worked well with the 6980.

Then the problems started. At the start, after that my desktop I get a box titled "Windows Installer", and then a second box: 'Please wait while Windows tries to configure library', then a dialog box "the feature you are trying to use is on a CD or another removable disk that is not available. Insert the disc of the photo gallery and click on OK. There is a drop down menu to 'Source '. If I try to 'Browse' the first thing that appears is the PhotoGallery.msi file in the folder C:\Windows\Hewlett-Packard\Setup Files Software Update\. I tried to click on the PhotoGallery.msi file, and I get a message that "the Update\PhotoGallery.msi C:\Windows\Hewlett-Packard\Setup of HP software is not a valid package for photo gallery. Try to find the PhotoGallery.msi installation package in a folder from which you can install Photo library". I tried to use Windows Search to find all other instances of PhotoGallery.msi, but I get the same message when I click on them. I tried to use the CD supplied with the printer. No help.

I get an "error 1706. No source is valid for the product photo library is not found. Windows Installer error message cannot continue"when I exit the installation/configuration process. I have to cancel the process about 3 times before he left.

My printer works fine as a printer and I can copy and FAX from the console of the printer, but whenever I get one sheet to FAX or copy, I get a warning sound and a message that the there is a problem.

If I open "Image area" to try to scan a photo or a document, my albums are all absent and when I complete the scan, I get the same series of messages as when I reboot. The biggest difference is that the ongoing process of trying to repeat no matter how many times I Cancel. I have to use "Task Manager" to the "end task".

I uninstalled the 6210 software and reinstalled several times. I used the CD that came with the printer and also the last driver downloaded from the HP Web site package. I uninstalled the software HP 6980. Nothing seems to make a difference.

I think I have one or more of the following problems:

#1. There is the uninstall process does not remove the files
#2. There are registry entries that I need to remove
#3. There are files for the HP 6980 in folders where there should be files HP 6210

Does anyone know how to get all relevant files, registry entries and HP off my PC, apart from reinstalling Windows? I need to reinstall the software as if it was a first time install.

    FreddieVee

First I ran the file gr_uninst.exe http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ 4 times. Then I ran msicuu2.exe the "Windows Installer CleanUp Utility" (I have the link that you provided = http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290301) and finally I used the EasyCleaner Registry Cleaner from ToniArts v2.0.

I decided to use the three programs rather one and then re-install and hoping that all this work.

After re-installing, using the last package of driver for my printer HP and the combination of the OS, everything works like new.

    Thank you for your advice,

    FreddieVee
