Alpha channel / Media encode a Question

Hi all

I have a question that I think is just something that I'm on. I have a comp with a logo. The logo is made up of various files and has no experience. Third, it is very similar to a lower. When I make it on at AE through the rendering that I have no problem and the Alpha channel works as expected when they are imported into the BODY. The setting I use is QuickTime > Animation > RGB + Alpha, etc.

This morning I decided I wanted to start rendering through Media Encoder. I watched that video Colin Smith has done a fight a year ago to refresh my memory.

I pulled the top of Media Encoder, dragged my logo in MY computer and everything seemed to be going beautifully. I chose QuickTime > Animation codec > etc.

However, when you import the file into the BODY the Alpha channel did not. Where the Alpha channel is supposed to be the play as video black BODY. I went back to ME and double checked all the settings. I don't see anywhere in ME where you can specify an Alpha channel as you can in AE when you specify "RGB + Alpha".

Is there a setting in ME to activate/read the alpha channel that I'm missing? I really want to use me for future renditions of model of AE, but unless I can work around the problem of Alpha channel I will not be able to.

CS6 all to date

Win Vista (not that I think that any question of specifications of system in this case).

Thank you in advance,

Shane

Of the SOUL, add the file to the render queue and click on either the codec or preset to open After Effects export settings. Video basic settings by selecting a 32 bit depth will allow the alpha layer. If you use a 10-bit codec or higher, set the depth of 64-bit.

Either by the way, have you thought about dynamic link from Premiere Pro to After Effects file? It eliminates the need for an intermediate file and maintains a depth of bit up to 32bpc.

  • How to render JUST Alpha in Media Encoder

So apparently, Adobe changed their settings in 2014 CC and Adobe After Effects is no longer a container H.264 and is only offered as a codec for Qucktime. I said I must go to the H.264 codec in Adobe Media Encoder. That's fine, the problem is that Adobe Media Encoder has no real options for Alpha. From my understanding, you need to 32bpc do alpha in a file, that doesn't seem to work, but it's irrelevant now because that's not what I need. I need to make two files for a list of lots, with just RGB and the other with just alpha files. I spoke to someone from Adobe, and they suggested I post here. Let me know if you need details.

    Thank you very much.

Like I do when I need is the following:

First I export my computer using SOUL RGB version (H264 or other)

    Next steps:

-Carry out a demo of the original composition

-Create a new solid white below the pre-comp

-Use the alpha model pre as a track matte for the solid white.

-Export the new model to TEA with the same codec as the first version of RGB

That's all! You have two clips: RGB version and black & white (alpha)

  • Media encode/first Question Pro!

Hey guys, first post here, been with Premiere Pro and the CC for a few years now.  I've never had this issue before and I wonder if it's my source material, so this is.

First, I turn to a studio of local access TV show.  I've shot tons of things before, but with my cameras and equip, now I use their cameras that are not SD card or anything of the sort, they are connected to the system that create a RAW .mov file.  This RAW .mov file will show video and play audio if I'm watching it via VLC, but does not display any video in Premiere pro, once I import it into.  I thought Media Encoder would take care of it, but see in Media Encoder video black screen in media encode in the screen preview and once completed.  The original material is not good but that shouldn't matter and give as much information as possible, the cameras there are more than ten years.

The .mov RAW file's Video bitrate audio and 26318 Kbps to 1536 kbps 48 kHz.  The computer I use is an Intel Core i7 - 4770 K CPU

@3. 5 GHz with 16 GB of RAM.  I still use windows 7 64-bit on this system.  Now, I tried the same thing on my computer edition laptop and the same results.  The laptop is completely up-to-date for Premiere Pro and Media Encoder also.

I'm waiting for the tech guy from the studio back to me, but it is not today and I should be changing this!  Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem?  I've been googling and check the codecs to see how I can solve this problem, but nothing I've tried up to now does not work.  Soon, I can reinstall just the whole thing (my internet is very slow so been avoiding that, will have to do it while I SLEEP).  Thank you for your time and your advice!

  • Size of the smallest Possible video in Adobe Media Encoder

    Hello

I have a lot of files audio realmedia I need to convert to mp4 so that I can put them in InDesign. I want them as mp3 and mp4 is because I need the search controls so that the normal playback, stop, I need to be able to move forward and backward in the audio I like, using the seek function is a big deal in this project, and I don't think it's possible if I just place a file audio mp3 in InDesign? If this is the case, this would be ideal, so please let me know.

In any case, assuming that it is not, I am able to convert rm to mp4 ok, but they don't work in InDesign until I have run through Adobe Media Encoder, my question is: there is no video scenes to this 'video' is just a black screen with audio playback , what parameters can I choose in Adobe Media Encoder to make the size of the video file as small as possible, humanly speaking since all I need is the audio in this video format?

I don't know the first thing about SOUL so grateful for your comments as to who exactly I need to change the settings.

    Uncheck "Export video."

  • Alpha out with Media Encoder

    Hallo

I would use the "Export to Adobe Media Encoder" command in After Effects to send a demo of an Alpha channel for be coded in the Media Encoder, but this workflow does not support Alpha channels, or am I missing something? I use CC2014

    Help, please

    Nick

You want alpha RIGHT in almost all cases. Avid, FCP, organization, AE and any other composition or editing app I've ever used prefer straight alphas.

Create a custom template that is using, for example, QuickTime JPEG2000 and choose 32-bit like that.

You'll find yourself with a straight alpha QT which will work properly in any application. If you multiplied before, then you must use the mark to make and to beware of the edges when compositing.

Here is the result to make test in AE. Note the file interpretation and transparency.

BTW, you can save the preset (I did it) and use it at any time by setting the preferences of the SOUL.

  • . Question of FLV Alpha Channel

    Greetings,

I'm currently building a website in catalyst with a background video fullscreen, with animated on text. I encoded the background video in a .flv. Then I created the animated in After Effects text and exported it as a .flv with alpha channel (I want just text floating above the background video)

When I run the catalyst project, you can see the borders of the video of flashing text or disrupt the background video.

My question is, can we have a background video flv, with another play .flv + alpha playing at the same time, above him? or is it useless?

    Thank you.

The dual FLVs won't work. Could you export the text animation in a SWF file, which should composite. Although, my gut tells me it's something better suited for Flash Professional and not Flash Catalyst.

  • Audio loop at the end in question Media Encoder

Turned into a problem when rendering After Effects on Media Encoder since update to 2015.3. When you send an AE project to the SOUL, it will make a part of the audio at the end of the video even if there is no audio data. I tested the rendering in AAC, Dolby and MPEG audio codecs in the SOUL and the problem persists. Then I used first to import the AE project and saw on the waveform in import, dealing of EI, the audio is repeated. When rendering AE for an intermediate format, there is no audio loop. It seems that this issue is only to come in trying to go the AE and return in any other Adobe software.

I also found that people have had this issue and other similar for over a year at this point. Adobe has even closed open a forum that had this problem and it as answered, which was not clearly marked.

    Encoder.png

How to do this in Adobe Media Encoder?

    Hi Ti.S. Cavalcanti,

You must be sure to set the number of bits to 32 bits. Note that only some codecs allow to do this.

    Thank you

  • Media Encoder CC audio question

I have a standard definition of ProRes (.mov) with 2 stereo pairs audio file.  I'm trying to export it to a DVCPROHD Quicktime (.mov) with the same audio configuration.

It seems impossible.  My audio export as a Quicktime file with this codec options are 1 track mono, stereo pair 1 or 2 mono channels.  This would result in a downmix, which I don't want.

There is a setting that allows me to have this video codec and the audio configuration I want, but the resulting file will be in a wrapper, .mxf, I can't use.

Is there really no way to just audio passthrough in Media Encoder?

There was a problem in previous versions of Media Encoder where it couldn't import several audio streams correctly as 2 stereo pairs.  On recent version (CC 2014 8.2), this issue has been addressed.  To encode in addition to 2 channels, select the audio codec uncompressed Audio tab.  You should be able to select the channels up to 32channels.

  • Question of Media encoding

I bought Creative Suite Design Standard last year on DVD... love it.  I know Media Encoder is part of this package that I already bought.  For the moment, I am to evaluate a trial version of the AE... and have noticed that my Media Encoder has changed/updated.  My "beginnerish" question is this: if I decide not to continue with the accession of app unique creative cloud... How that will affect the Media Encoder version I had already since last year...

    Thanks in advance...

    Empty:

In your Applications folder (Mac) or programs (Windows) you must have Adobe Media Encoder CS6 installed (via your Creative Suite Design Standard DVD) so what have Adobe Media Encoder CC installed (via the trial after effects CC).

At the end of your trial period, the CS6 version should still launch as planned.  If you happen to launch the CC version, you should get a dialog box informing you that the trial period has expired.

  • Media Encoder Question - with explainable Images

    OS: Vista 32 bit

    Producet:Adobe Premiere Pro Cs3

    Question: regarding the export parameters

For: Videos on Facebook. Req. H.264 video with AAC audio in MP4 or MOV, 30 images/s, 44100 hz format

I have been exporting stuff for awhile by file > export Adobe Media Encoder, when the timeline is completely selected.  Don't know if this can help, but including anyway.

My concern is the settings to get a pretty good quality for facebook. Video 720HQ

The settings are shown in the pictures:

    options.jpg

Now, my real problem is audio, I need that video has people singing and playing music.

    options2.jpg

Now I don't know if its a preset, codec, I'm missing, or etc.

But I see two thing when I exported audio:

-the Audio quality, which I worked through soundbooth is a wav file, is reduced after compilation in Adobe Premiere.  In which I noticed strange fluctuations when there are peaks of the kind.  Noticed that Apple kept Lossless quality, but was not an audio format accepted by facebook.

-I'm missing AAC format whichi I searched on the interenet without solution

    Two kind answers: I'm looking:

-solution to find why audio codec AAC is not an option and add it as a choice

-find the best audio export settings recommended

modify these settings according to your own video... export setting fps should correspond to your project and your source.

my test on 1920x1080p 24 fps came out very well, plays well on computer using media player classic.

  • AE CC 2014 question.  CEAP Plugin AEDynamicLinkServer: Adobe Media Encoder is not installed.

CEAP Plugin AEDynamicLinkServer: Adobe Media Encoder is not installed.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I have a CC 2015 and love it.  Before that, I had CS5.5 and AE CC 2014.  My problem is with AE CC 2014 (and Media Encoder 2014).  (Both together)

As I remember, when I bought the script of 1 year for 2015 of CC, I had both AE CC 2014 and 2015 CC AE who would work at the same time.  They are both still, except for one big problem:

AE CC 2014, when I go to: Composition > add to Adobe Media Encoder queue it comes up with an ERROR...

CEAP Plugin AEDynamicLinkServer: Adobe Media Encoder is not installed.  Please download and install it to use this feature.  Go to https://creative.adobe.com/apps.   (5027: 12)

Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014 and 2015 are both installed and are working correctly.  What do I need to reinstall AE CC 2014 (comes with Adobe Media Encoder 2014) again?  If Yes, where and how can I get the old verson 2014 to reinstall?

    I thank in advance

  • Questions of linear workflow with Media Encoder CC 2014

I use after effects CC 2014 and doesn't seem to be the option the most export through AE to H264. There was formerly a button in the preferences to allow obsolete codecs... not there more with CC 2014. Then... I added my renders in Media Encoder. The problem is that it does not calculate my project working in linear Workflow so all my renders are very dark and evil.

Someone at - he found a work around for this? is there a Media Encoder button that I need to put on for linear workflow?

I have usually make an intermediate file without loss of AE render queue and then use that file in Adobe Media Encoder.

    I did it for years.

I have never cared for After Effects h.264 encoder and was happy to see it go. I'd rather the AE team focus their limited resources on the program of work well and let the Media Encoder team working on the best way to code something.

Here's a post on using Adobe Media Encoder to create H.264, MPEG-2 and WMV videos get out of After Effects

  • Different plan back color between the composition and rendering after adobe media encoder

    I discovered after effect...

I have a problem of correspondence between the composition and the final rendering through adobe media encoder

The color of the background composition of Loire (regardless of color) and always a background BLACK after the adobe media encoder

    After 2.jpgAfter 3.jpg

Despite several manipulations by changing the settings I can't solve the problem.

A little help would be welcome, thanks

The composition background color will never surrender.  Hug composition background color will never, not even with the record locator.  The background is transparent and will always be unless you fill it with pixels. Unless you choose a format that supports Alpha channels, Alpha channels will make always black. Media players will always play a movie with a black background with alpha channel. If you want a yellow background, you will need a solid yellow or yellow shape on the bottom of your model layer.
