'Alt Gr ' key.

Hello

I just encountered a problem which I can quite understand why it's happening.

There are in my Extension inputfields where the user can enter an e-mail for example.

Work on a German-layouted keyboard is the 'Alt Gr' - key that is used to write the symbol @. (I think that this key is just an additional Alt on those U.S. - Layouted)

Unfortunately, all using 'Alt Gr' entry is ignored and no entry is made in my entry field.

Facing this problem with the new version of InDesign CC 2014

It works fine in InDesign CC well

If anyone can reproduce this problem or maybe even has a solution to this?

With greetings

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

We will be fixing this issue in a future release. ETA is currently not available.

Kind regards

    HI waltur,

in my opinion, it is not possible to change the position and significance of any key on the keyboard.

I think it's related o the keyboard driver and Windows operating system. I googled around but I had only found how to change the positions of the keys on a keyboard in Linux.

  • CC of Photoshop for PC - ctrl-alt-arrow key does nothing

I installed Photoshop CC on a new PC, and the combination of keys ctrl-alt-arrow does nothing. He used to reduce the area of framing around pixels and move the selection by 1 pixel. Now, it does nothing. Using shift-ctrl-alt-arrow shrinks the selection around the pixel rectangle and move the selection of 10 pixels, meaning that it is supposed to do. Any help is appreciated.

I got this in Windows 7 with my driver Intel HD 4000 as well. Enabling auto-start for the Intel Graphics Control panel was the problem. He caught in the trap of the combination of keys Ctrl-Alt arrow, but not the Shift-Ctrl-Alt-arrow key combination.

If the solution is simple http://superuser.com/questions/796396/how-to-disable-igfxhk-module-process-from-starting-u p-with-windows

I just went into msconfig > Services tab, deselected "Intel HD Graphics Control Panel Service" and restarted the PC.

You will always have access to the graphical control panel, but Ctrl-Alt-arrow is no longer blocked in Photoshop.

  • Utility HP steals the ALT + S key combination to win 8

    Hello!

I have a p7-1414 with Windows 8 on it.  I count on a foreign keyboard layout (PLP - Polish programmer) when you work.  I find that among the combinations of keys (ALT + S) which normally produces a specific character (ś) is to be intercepted by the program "HP Support Information" before that my application can get it.  So instead of the letter "ś" in a document, a boring wibndow appears with a list of technical support information.

Question: How do I avoid this?  Tried to uninstall the program of Support information, but it cannot be deleted: it is unresponsive when asked to uninstall through Control Panel.  I have no idea where in Windows 8, you can control the shortcut.  Can someone tell me how to prevent this little program to steal important key combination?

    Thank you.

I understand that you need to release the keyboard shortcut for HP technical support information.
  • How can disable switch between different input languages (= keyboard languages) by pressing the Alt + Shift keys? __

Although I can now perform steps

    1. On the start menu, choose Control Panel.

    2. In Control Panel, select regional and Language Options.

    3. In the Regional And Language Options dialog box tab, under Text Services and input languages, click details.

    4. In the text Services and input, in the Preferences section languages, dialog box click on the key parameters.

    5. In the dialog box advanced key settings, click Change Key Sequence.

    6. In the change Key Sequence dialog box, clear the switch input languages check box, and click OK.

    7. In the advanced key settings dialog box, click OK.

    8. In the text Services and input languages dialog box, click OK.

    9. In the Regional And Language Options dialog box, click OK.

But I need some settings registry keys to do the trick above to me, because it is difficult to do it on the number of PCs that requires users to restrict the swith between input languages.
No idea or help is greatly appreciated.

      Thank you in advance.

    Hello
I found the place where exactly this may be small :).

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Keyboard Layout\Toggle]
    "Hotkey" = "1".
    'Language Hotkey' = '3 '.
    'Shortcut page layout' = '2 '.

Change the value of "Language Hotkey" accordingly.

1 sequence of button enabled; Use Left ALT + SHIFT to switch between locales.
2 key activated sequence; Use CTRL + SHIFT to switch between locales.
    3 invalid key sequences.
4 If the default locale is Thai, the grave accent key activates / deactivates the input locale. otherwise the keystrokes are disabled.

Another problem is that it sits under HKCU as well, same as if I pack this setting with MSI, it won't have a any use to me. Since then, installation is done using MSI localadmin account and HKCU is associated with the current session. If a new user who connects to this settting does not apply, and even if it rises "access denied" :(

Hope this helps anyone with the same problem.
    Thank you.

  • With the help of control (Alt, windows key) in a vWorkspace session keys

    Hi guys,.

My users and I have noticed that you cannot use the Windows key or Alt modifiers in a vWorkspace session.

In an RDP session normal, that they work very well (as long as the RDP window is maximized), but not vWorkspace.

examples: Alt + Tab, simply by pressing the windows key, alt-ESC

Is there a way we can allow them to work inside the session?  It must be possible that the MSTSC.exe application allows it.

    Thank you!

    Nick.

    Hello Nick,

This works in the same way as MSTSC.

In respect of local resources, you have the keyboard mode.

You can set this to the Local computer in full screen only or on the remote computer.

From what you describe, your MSTSc is set "in Mode full-screen only.

In AppPortal, click Actions | Manage connections | Local resources

    Then change the keyboard mode.

If you use Web Access, you can set it in preferences on a per-user basis, or you can change the properties of Web sites in the Management Console.

For example, open the properties of the Web site. Local resources | Apply Windows key combinations.

This will fix it for you.

    Thank you, Andrew.

  • ALT Option key PS CC using the mouse or Tablet drags the app instead of sampling window when using Clone too

When I open the CC PS on my Mac Mini (latest version Mavericks), or my MBPr (same OS.v)

    Here are the steps.

    MacMini and Mac:

    1. Open Photoshop
    2. Open any image
    3. Switch to the pen tool, tool buffer or any tool that uses the button Option key as a modifier
    4. Draw a few points, sample,.
    5. Now, try to change an anchor point using the tool anchor to convert or sample using the stamp tool. Just hold down the option key and drag.
    6. WOAH! My entire application moves and the modifier does not, instead change the XY of the application window.

Find out what... When I do that on my side of my MBPr friends, that's fine. Infact I do editing on his sidebecuase of it. I just noticed that he was doing this at work. I do not use PS a lot at work, for the most part Illutsrator.

    in any case...

    Anyone else having this problem?

    Devices... it is replicated.

    M$ mouse on MacMini

    Intuous4 on MBPr WacomTablet

Just tried to use the touchpad, MBPr, and that's fine.

I'm starting to think it's drivers wacom or something.

I wonder what 3rd party applications you are running. A quick Internet search seems to indicate that a tool like HyperDock can allow you to use windows by alt clicking on (http://superuser.com/questions/223318/mac-os-x-altleft-click-move-window-possible-in-10-5-et-up)

  • ALT + mouse wheel to zoom (alt windows key 7)

    Hello Photoshop,

I use CS6 on windows 7-64 bit with a keyboard and a mouse.  I have a problem with the default functionality of the 'Alt' key in windows 7.  For those of you who are familiar with the default functionality of the alt key in windows 7, go to the next paragraph.  For those of you unfamiliar, pressing the ALT key in most programs in windows will highlight the toolbar so that you can use the keyboard to make a selection in your 'file', 'Edit', 'View', toolbars etc. If your mouse goes dead.

My problem is that I use the Alt + scrolling the mouse to zoom in all the time.  I rely on this feature, probably more than I should.  Yes, I use Ctrl + or cntrl - for zoom, but that means that I have to take my right hand out of my mouse and I use photoshop 8 + hours some days.  Time is essential to complete projects on time.

So has anyone found solutions to this?  I tried to disable the service by default alt in windows 7 (it did not because you can not without third pary openware).  I tried to reproduce the shortcut in the Edit - menu keyboard shortcuts (did not work because he does not recognize the mouse scrolling).  Am I missing something?  Any help would be appreciated because I'm tired of having to reselct my fonts when the alt key turns my focus of the workspace toolbar.

    Thank you!

    -Dave

If you select Zoom with scroll wheel in Edit > Preferences > General, then you can simply use the scroll on the mouse for zoom wheel without pressing any other key.

Or you might rather than the preference above press both the Ctrl + Alt, which prevents the highlighting from the menu bar

  • Alt/option key disables the keyboard entries

    Hi-

It seems that if I press the ALT (option) 5 times quickly, it disables my keyboard. It seems also occur that if I hold down the option for an extended period of time, often while I use Photoshop.

It stops completely from all entries to the keyboard, essentially breaking of the keyboard until I press it a lot again to make it work. I can't find out how to disable this in keyboard/accessibility settings, so I came here to help.

-Sometimes, with built-in MBP & my bluetooth keyboard, this is not specific to a keyboard. Seems to be a computer problem.

    Thank you!

Are you still using 10.6.8 Snow Leopard?

    Thank you

    Hello

To move to the next tab, it's Ctrl + Tab or Ctrl + Pg Dn (Page Down). To go on the Forelegs (reverse), it's Ctrl + SHIFT + Tab or Ctrl + Page Up (Page Up) key. More info on this and other keyboard shortcuts here.
