Can you download all the programs you need on another computer and transfer it to this one on removable
media - use normal or safe mode for cd/dvd - sometimes rename the .exe .com allows a program

  • I have alureon.e Trojan on my pc and I can't get rid of

Have been posted on another forum but apparently you guys might be able to help me again.

I have windows xp and microsoft security essentials - and this virus.

    Things I've downloaded;

    TDSSKiller from Kaspersky

    Malwarebytes

    SUPERAntiSpyware

None of them have worked, they do not even see it. Now I am told I need to "format my drive" or something - stripping basically my pc back to essentially naked so that I can start again. My knowledge of the inner workings of a pc is zilch, can barely operate the front so you can imagine I do things with a few trepadation...

Have no external hard drive, and although about 50% of my day to day stuff is saved the clouds and sticks, it is quite still. Don't want to lose all my emails and email addresses again, as I work from home (use outlook express) and have no idea how support this thesis.

This Trojan horse has been on my pc for almost 2 weeks now and so far I have suffered no ill effects (apart from the personal feelings of intense frustration and fleeting paranoia) so I was wondering what would happen if I just left...?

    Hello

I don't know if you are able or even able to do, but just now I removed alureon with the following...

Make sure you are saved and have the ability to do a full restore, if things go wrong. This procedure should be a last resort. It is has the potential for dangerous consequences, especially if done by people without proper knowledge/experience.

    • On your PC to rewrite the boot sector of the hard disk by starting a utility on optical media. This support must be created on a malware free PC. I used an old version of Seagate SeaTools, but I guess something like boot from Hiren's CD to provide this facility too Hirens.BootCD.15.1.zip
    • On another Windows PC get the AV solution up-to-date (I used MSE)
    • Remove the hard disk and place it in the other PC
    • Scan the drive and remove malware
    • Replace the drive in the original PC

If you are not comfortable with this date, if you want to go this route, my advice is take it to a store and show them this message. Maybe they want to make their way instead of that way. If you can, take the recommendation of a friend/colleague who has used the store and had a satisfcatory result.

  • Alureon.A Trojan.

My computer has been infected by Trojan Alureon.A horse. I ran the last Microsoft Download antimalware software, but it is demonstrated by MSE. I run Windows XP. What should I do?

    I would do these things:

You must run TDSSkiller from Kaspersky Lab:
    http://support.Kaspersky.com/viruses/solutions?QID=208280684

    Then:

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:

    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

    Thank you.

    Hi Rjjb2006,

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: You can run the fix it from the link below and check the results.

Difficulty of broken desktop shortcuts and common system maintenance tasks

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/system_maintenance_for_windows

Method 2: You can read the article of Basr Microsoft Knowledge for the repair of the specific element that causes Windows not to load not.

Refer to the first method in the article mentioned:

Computer stops responding with a black screen when you start Windows XP

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/314503

Method 3: I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malware

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Important: While running scan on the hard drive if bad sectors are found on the hard drive when scanning try to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost.
