Always on OSX10.6.8 need to go to 10.8

I'm on 10.6.8 cannot upgrade to El Capitan but we must spend at least 10.8 download bank guarantee. How can I do this? Saleswoman was no help. I have no idea which category I should have selected below - I'm a dinosaur.

If your computer is not able to run El Capitan, it can also run Mountain Lion. You may need a software like Firefox when you access the Bank's website.

There are 2 versions of Adobe Flash; an ActiveX version for IE only and a plug-in version for most of the other browsers like Firefox. On a Windows system, you must always update both individually. You don't seem to have the Plugin version for Firefox installed. Look in modules > Plugins 'Shockwave Player (version)'.

    1. With Firefox, click the direct download link below and SAVE the download on your desktop, so you can find it later: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe

  • pages keeps saying I need a plugin but the button 'Search plugin' gives ALWAYS "nothing found" - do I need or not?

I have an almost brand new Mac 10.7.5. Downloaded Firefox very well. But a lot of pages (not all) gives me a popup saying that additional plugins are required to display all of the content. When I click on the "Install missing plugins" button, I get a window saying: "no appropriate plugin was found." Does this mean the popup saying I need a plugin is false, or what?

Your list of plugins does not display the Flash plugin, which is used by many Web sites, so perhaps it comes of this plugin.

You can check in tools > Modules > Plugins if it might be disabled.

Update the Flash plugin to the latest version.

    Hi kjo575,

You see the following message when you open the PDF document in Acrobat Reader for iOS?

If so, you have a special type of form called "dynamic XFA form.

Currently, mobile products of Acrobat Reader (for iOS, Android, Windows Phone) do not support dynamic XFA forms created with Adobe LiveCycle Designer.

The message appears when dynamic content is not supported by a PDF Viewer.  As far as I know, no PDF viewers on iOS supports dynamic XFA forms.

Please use the desktop version of Adobe Reader on a Windows or Mac computer to view and complete the XFA forms.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • New-VM cmdlet always deploys "Thin-provisioned" VMs - need help

    Hi all

I am at a total loss on this and spent several days trying to figure out what's wrong.  I'm deploying a new virtual machine from a template using PowerCLI version 5.1 Release 1.  The model is thin-set as all our models are, but when you specify my "New - VM" command, the resulting virtual machine always deploys as thin-provisioned even if I specify "thick".  Here is the command I use:

    PowerCLI C:\ > New-VM-model $templatename - $datastoreClustername - DiskStorageFormat EagerZeroedThick - $hostname - VMHost Datastore name $newVMname - location $foldername

The above command returns the following error that 'EagerZeroedThick' is not a valid for the parameter - DiskStorageFormat option (although I see it clearly is done by "Get-Help-detailed New - VM")...:

New - VM: 20/02/2014 12:09:18 new - the specified invalid VM storage format. Valid values are "Thin" and "thick".

    Online: 1 character: 7

    + New-VM < < < <-Template (model Get - Id VirtualMachine - vm - 1060) Datastore - Orion1_DSCluster - DiskStorageFormat EagerZeroe

dThick - VMHost orion2esx01.cisco.com - name rcdn6-vm91-8-location "generic user (jstest).

    + CategoryInfo: InvalidArgument: (:)) [new-VM], InvalidArgument)

    + FullyQualifiedErrorId: Client20_VMServiceImpl_GetnerateCloneSpec_IvalidStorageFormat, VMware.VimAutomation.ViCore.Cmd

    lets.Commands.NewVM

So I try the same command above, but this time by using 'thick ':

    PowerCLI C:\ > New-VM-model $templatename Datastore thick - VMHost $hostname - DiskStorageFormat - $datastoreClustername - name $newVMname - location $foldername

The above command will successfully deploy a new virtual machine to the specified model, but the resulting virtual machine will always be Approvisionnés Thin rather than thick as I said...

I have Google had the devil on this issue and did not happen to something that helps me...  I tried all the combinations of parameters, and the parameter order hoping that would be the thing without result.  As I said, I am at a complete loss and hope someone here can point me in the right direction.

    Sum, my 2 questions are:

    1. Why is EagerZeroedThick not considered as a valid option for the setting -DiskStorageFormat even if "Get-Help-detailed New - VM" clearly states that it is?  (I've seen a lot of example online of people using this option as well)
    2. Why the new virtual machine being deployed as a thin-put in service of the virtual machine, even if I specify thick for the setting -DiskStorageFormat of New - VM?

    It is a 1 vCenter/vSphere 5.1 update environment.

Thanks in advance for your help.

It - http://www.google.com/firefox - is the old Page to start Firefox used by the Firefox 3.6 and earlier versions of Firefox. From version Firefox 4, Firefox uses a 'local' with the address Start Page of Subject: House. It looks like the old start Page, but this isn't exactly the same thing.

  • My laptop always tells me that I am user of 'limited' and I need to log in as an administrator. I am the only user of this computer at home, and I can't find out how this action.

Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone!

    Ideas:

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

If you had only one user account, it originally was an administrator, and he has now suddenly become Standard see methods below. After return you to the system scan for malware because these things happen not magically by themselves. You will need to log on to the built-in Administrator account and make your changes. See the end of this post for the recommended user configuration.

    http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

1 boot without failure. This, by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as the computer starts. That you will get to the menu on the right where you can use your arrow key to select Mode safe [Enter]. The built-in Administrator account is disabled by default in Vista. However, if no other administrative accounts exist on the system it can be activated. If this is the case, you will see an icon for the administrator on the homescreen mode without failure. Login to the administrator.

2 If you don't see the icon for the administrator mode safe account, then the built-in Administrator account is always disabled so you will need to work more. If you have an installation of Vista DVD (not a recovery DVDs), you can start the system with it. Select the default language, then select "repair your computer". Then select "Command Prompt". At the command prompt, type:

NET user administrator / Active: Yes [Enter]

[Note: do not enter the brackets!]

If you do not have a Vista installation DVD (only have a recovery disk), the computer mftr. may have given you the option to repair Vista (not a system recovery!) system in the diagnostic menu. This menu of diagnosis is the same one where you can choose Safe Mode.  Or you can do a repair file Vista bootable DVD in this link:

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

Note: All the Neosmart recovery disk downloads are torrent files. There is a good explanation of the torrent on the site Web of Neosmart files. You will need a torrent as muTorrent client to get the files. Torrent client will download the .iso file with which to create the bootable DVD. You will need the third-party burning software such as Nero, Roxio or the free ImgBurn (www.imgburn.com ) to burn the .iso image image file, not in the form of data.

Now remove the rescue CD/DVD, you have done, reboot Windows and log on to the built-in Administrator account, you enabled.

After getting things sorted, login to a different administrative account (see recommendations below) and disable the administrator built-in again for security reasons.

Start Orb > Search box > type: cmd
When cmd appears in the above results, right-click and choose "Run as Administrator" [OK]. Now, you will get the command prompt. At the command prompt, type:

NET user administrator / active: No. [Enter]

    Exit the command prompt.

General recommendations for creating users in Vista:

You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all the other modern operating systems, Vista is a multi-user system with integrated system of accounts as default Administrator and comments. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.

In particular, you do not want one account user with administrative privileges on Vista because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult.  It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but there may be more that you want to do. Better not to put you in a bad situation at first.

The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. As a user Standard is recommended for security reasons and will help protect your computer against infections. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.

If you want to go directly to the desktop and ignore the Welcome screen with the icons of the user accounts, you can do this:

Start Orb > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null).

  • Need new motherboard for Satellite C850-B735

I need to know the model of the motherboard. I tried to find a spare part of it online but I could not. I tried to find the part number on the motherboard, but apparently not that this figure makes no sense.

I need to buy a new motherboard.

    Help, please!

With the new motherboard might be quite problematic. Always is it that you need professional help with this. You know your laptop model name and model number, so if you can find someone who can get the new motherboard you need these data.

Of course, you can contact the nearest Toshiba service provider in your country and ask for help. They have access to the database of Toshiba and can help you with this.

Out of curiosity: what is the problem with your machine? Is your cell phone completely dead?

  • Need a new mothherboard for Equium A60

I tried suggestion given in the forum but I am always sick, I think I need a new mothherboard for Equium A60, I searched on the Toshiba site but tere does'nt seem to be links or place where it is said you can buy a home, HELP!

As much as I know, that you cannot order parts for laptop direct from Toshiba.

You can do this in some independent electronic store, perhaps by approved maintainer Toshiba or on eBay. I recommend you check out eBay. Here you can find many hardware components for various Toshiba laptops.
With a little luck you can find mainboard for your model of laptop also.

    Check it out.

  • Win8.1 need drivers for my Satellite P855 - 30 M

As a student, I have access to a free version of 8.1 Windows 64-bit, so I wanted to try it, but I'm not sure drivers to choose. My computer data are:

    Toshiba Satellite P855 - 30 M
    PSPKBE

For example if I choose "display driver" and "Italian" I get three options:

-nVidia Driver, display 18/10/13, version 306,37
-nVidia Driver, display 18/10/13, version 9.18.13.2660
-driver Intel, 29/10/13, 10.18.10.3308 display version

Which is the correct? If I have the same problem in other panels that "display driver", how can I choose the right pair?
    Thank you!

    Hello

I checked the download from Toshiba on http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp page and your model of laptop THAT PSPKBE is supported for update Win8.1 and Win8.1 64 bit OS (if you do the clean OS install).

Always is it that you need to install the Intel and NVIDIA driver. Toshiba offers two NVIDIA drivers and, according to me, one of them is for the 3D model. In my opinion, you should install version 9.18.13.2660.
Do it, you can't do anything wrong.

Have you looked to see if your motherboard has a BIOS update available?

I have personally had updated the BIOS on my motherboard during the upgrade from my old i7 920 quad-core CPU for an i7 960 hexa-core CPU.  The motherboard wouldn't even POST after upgrading the CPU without BIOS flash first, it might be interesting to try.  It might be better to install the old CPU and make sure that everything is working normally before flashing the BIOS.

I strongly recommend to back up important documents to an external storage device before you attempt this, since there is always a risk when you perform upgrades to your hardware.  In addition, please take care to follow the instructions exactly as directed.  You wouldn't want an as the result of this expensive paper weight...: o
