  I need to install Windows Installer CleanUp Utility to uninstall Adobe CS3 however after I install programs and features in Control Panel is all messed up and shows a lot of additional programs and most of the programs cannot be uninstalled.   Download the Microsoft fix it and then try to run and check if it works. I suggest you perform the clean boot on the computer and check if Fixit works.

  So far I've only had a problem on my new build. My sudden C: (Hatachi) would not start. It was stuck on "Loading Windows". I had to remove the hard drive and replace it with a new one and return to a backup of my C: However, I could not erase that bad drive or reformat. I tried to download the material utility Hatachi to boot from the CD, but that would not boot from the CD. I suspect it is a problem of software and somehow, not a not burn in the right format, or something.

  Also, having allowed root is one of the ways you get a login screen showing only the name and the password.

  You should be able to type in your user name and password to connect.

  I'm trying to reformat my Macbook Pro (mid-2012), because I had the folder with a question mark by trying to turn it on. Once I started the recovery process online and open disk utility my SSD does not, so I can't delete it or reinstall the OS. Any help would be appreciated.

  I'm on Mac OSX El Capitan 10.11.3 (15 d 21) on a Macbook Pro 8.2 (early 2011)

  Previously, when File Vault was not activated I've been able to backup on my external drive for Time Machine (1 TB store Transcend jet) and the drive was visible when opening disk utility no problem...

  Now since I have encrypted my first Macintosh HD using File Vault, my disk utility program will not load when my Time Machine (unencrypted) external backup disk is connected, and I can not back up by using the application Time Machine (the player is simply not visible).

  When my external drive for Time Machine is not connected, my disk utility opens very well and I can see my Macintosh HD all external USB drives.

  I tried to re-boot, I tried to disconnect all external devices, I tried to connect the Time Machine drive with two USB ports and I tried to open the first disk utility, and then connect the external drive for Time Machine without success.

  Anyone else have experience with this problem or something similar? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

  I recently bought a MG5522 and I am using windows 7...  There is no scanning utility loaded when setting up and older versions of MP Navigator won't work...
  Is there a way to get the scan utility to load from the installation disc?  OR is there a 3rd party program that works?

  If not then I'll have to wear this back as it is of no use to me...

  The IJ Scan Utility supplied with the printer is installed with the printer drivers.  Is it does not get installed when you are using the installation CD, we recommend that you download and install the latest drivers and software for your printer from the Web of Canon USA site.

  Please click here to access the drivers and software page for the PIXMA MG5522.  Once the initial download to your model page, follow these steps:

  1. check that the operating system detected in the "OPERATING SYSTEM" drop is correct and if this isn't the case, please click on the drop down menu to select your operating system.

  2. then, click the red arrow next to the "RECOMMENDED FOR YOU" section and click on the DRIVER AND PACKAGE of SOFTWARE FULL file. When you do, a red DOWNLOAD button will appear. Please click the box below the button DOWNLOAD, and then click DOWNLOAD to start the download. The time for the download process can vary depending on the speed of your Internet connection and the size of the file being downloaded.

  Once the file is downloaded, please double-click it to install it on your computer. This will install all the drivers and the software of the printer on your computer.  Once installed, the utility Scan IJ can be accessed by going to your START MENU, then all PROGRAMS, then UTILITIES of CANON, then selecting IJ SCAN UTILITY (file), then IJ SCAN UTILITY (program).

  Looks like your user profile has been corrupted in some way and XP connected to a new profile.  This means that when you connect, you see one of your stuff and can be also lack all the other programs you may have installed previously.

  Note that the system restore do not know or care about the personal files on your system.

  Unless there's a disaster or instead of a system restore you done a system recovery files would be still on your system somewhere - you just find them... and when you find them, you can correct what happened.  If you have made a recovery of the system instead of a system restore, then all is lost and you need to recover from a backup.

  Have you performed a search of Windows to see if you can find some of these photos and files?    For example, you could search for something like "Resume.doc" or a file name that you remember exactly to see if it is anywhere on your system and where it is.

  Why don't you get in Windows Explorer and (assuming that XP is installed on your C drive), navigate to this folder:

  C:\Documents and Settings

  Below, you will see that each user on your system has their own folder for their personal belongings.  You will see also some folders listed user that you do not recognize, but that's normal.

  Under the folder of each user, there is another folder, as "Documents of Jose" and under this 'Jose music' and «De Jose Pictures»  Dig a little and check them all to see if you can find your missing stuff.

  Just take a look in the Control Panel, add/remove programs to see if "missing" programs are still installed, but all not available when you are logged in (you don't have to 'do' something - just look at).

  Assuming that you can find your missing stuff, determine where we (which will make feel you better knowing that it is not really gone), then report back and someone can help you straighten things.

  I recently transferred to Windows Live Essentials after my subscription to One Care became unavailable, the transition was easy and I found that Essentials is a great alternative, how ever when I realized that he was not back up installation included in the package, I returned to the accessories of Windows to back up my computer to my external hard drive.

  I had the same problem after removing a care. Found the original disks supplied with the Microsoft XP Home Edition computer, browsed the disk and found the backup utility program it and reinstalled.

  However, I think that the problem should not have occurredit the first place. I hope this helps.
