  I will be the 9th year (last year in Finnish primary school system) and start at the vocational school in August. That would make me eligible to receive the student discount.

  The thing is I want to use photoshop in the summer. I plan to purchase the bundle of photography, but it says in terms of membership of the student that it is no longer available for the first time buyer.

  However, when I used the 'Live chat' thing they told me that I could always buy the student membership even if I had used the composition of the photograph before.

  As long as you are considered to be a student, you can get a discount for students.  The first release of the year could be more NACO, but you still get a substantial discount in the years of follow-up compared to the full price no educational people subscribe to.

  I currently have CS 5.1 and you have thought about the upgrade to CC for awhile now. I am currently a student and qualify for publishing student, but I control this summer. Do I pay the price of the student for a year since I was a student when I signed up? Or the price goes up as soon as I master even if the student edition is annual? I'll probably have less money just after graduating I have now as a student to student loans, so if that is the case I just can't afford it. I can't seem to find any information about it and I want to know if I can decide whether or not to add CC.

  Rinfrost most of the student discount are an annual commitment.  This means that the price will remain the same for a year.  When it's time to renew your subscription, you will have the possibility to choose a standard plan if you are no longer eligible for the education award.

  As you said, the offer is for customers who own a previous product of perpetual Creative Suite (CS3 - CS6) rather than a subscription.

  You can switch the plan of photography to full creative cloud for the normal price.

  The upgrade price is the same for all owners of a previous version of Lightroom.

  So, if you have purchased a version upgrade then you got your discount.
