  I've worked with Adobe muse for a bit now and I'm willing to take my site to the next level. I'm specifically looking for Catalyst Business webCommerce packing. I just want to know how it is difficult to incorporate things like an interactive calendar, a login to members section, an eCommerce shop, etc. Do you need to be a genius to coding or can you get by using just the absolute basics? I want to be able to design the buttons myself and displays things of muse, is - it possible or do you need to do it all by code?

• Problems with video widget in Muse

  Hi all

  I'm wandering if someone can help me!

  I have been using Muse to design my first website, for my part and was lucky to fall on this 'background video Widget"created by HelloNoam. I tried to implement on my single page site. A single page website of scrolling is obviously not a drawing that you would normally use the widget background for, however, in principle, it works well by putting the widget on a layer below all other Web site content. I have, however, two problems with the site.

  It is a prototype of the Web site without the video widget and as you can see there is a grey white space on the third "page where the video will appear:

  The first problem is that when the widget is placed on the page, for some reason any that it will create an additional section at the bottom of the page about the size of a footer (although there is no current footer). There is no explanation for what I can see, and this happens only when the widget is used. As far as I know, this happens in all types of browser.

  The second problem seems to be isolated to when using Safari. When the widget is used, the first 'page' loads but then "pages" later (other than the video page) are white and are displaced. Again I am lost as to why this would be and why it would occur only in Safari and only when the widget is used.

  I talked to Abhishek on the Adobe Live Chat and he advised me to create a new thread here describing the problem. I hope that someone will be able to help/identify the problem because I'm lost as to what is wrong and have little or no experience coding (thus why I use Muse)! It is the only big problem I'm facing and for being a filmmaker, and I want to implement a video design beautiful.

  Muse is not video well at all.  Muse is very good at putting up a site of very fast and professional quality with items correctly created, but without video.  Do not use the SWF of Muse recommended files as half of your audience can see your stuff. This is because the HTML 5 is the only way to make it universally visible devices by all static and mobile and more than half of the population now discovers the internet through a mobile device. Learn dreamweaver or other to do it correctly. To bad that Muse could be great if Adobe all down here bits and added the video correctly. Even through code Muse does not well at all. I guess it must be purposely because no company in their right mind would destroy their own potential software without a valid reason.

  Hello, I am wanting a horizontal slideshow for images and I got the code works well on my site of muse, and everything I do now if fill with images. I looked in the syntax to place an image and I'm not sure how to handle the sourcing (as I never did before code).  It is for something like this:

  I have images to place them in the slide show, size, cropped and ready to go, but I don't know how the entrance of the syntax in the "source" of my images - they are just sitting in a folder in "my pictures" on my desktop. My workplace has a server where all we can access the same files... will that help?  I've seen where people refer to images in their code simply by typing the web address of its Web site with the name of the image at the end... What confuses me! --> How download an image on my site of Muse, without being seen and then reference it in a slide show?  This process doesn't seem wise. I'm lost! Help please!

  The other 5% is fine Muse will play with it. That I can't answer fully because I have not tested all scenarios. Yet once again, the intrinsic nature of the Muse is "designed" deviate away from custom coding. Also, in your previous post, it's a little unclear about your where all your folders/files Muse reside. IE: on your companies server or BC or a bit of both. I know eventually all your trying to do is for something. Sounds pretty simple right? And in your development it may come a time when you need more advanced features CMS, that is why BC seems logical.
  What you find along the way, it's that it may involve more then you expected. Certainly if you can make this work then go for it. The problem is sometimes, while things may seem simple in theory, without sufficient practice employing these theories (the coding / the syntax) then any number of errors may occur leaving scratching you your head and curse why you bothered in the first place. Another option is to rethink your strategy. Is it really all that important uber cool linear continuous scroll effect? This will set my site? Then I implore an imagination and thinking and make it easier on myself by using the tool at hand (Muse) is Max to reach the final objective?

  Just thinking but as stated earlier if you can make this work then, go for it. And if the mods or other users may be more help as I have, then it would be great as well!

  Hallo, ich habe ein kleines problem mit meiner Seite Muse. ICH habe mir seit short a new Rechner zugelegt und auf diesem die Projektdatei my Homepage, welche ich damals auf meinem Rechner is son habe und alten, open. (Ich hab einfach die Datei mit einem von meinem Rechner auf den neuen protection open und alten USB key) However mir jetzt there die whole die Verlinkungen der Elemente (Bilder ect.) weil Pfadangaben sich auf dem neuen Rechner geändert haben. ICH konnte jetzt bei jedem individual element auf 'Instanz neu left' naturally go und die Datei auf meinem neuen equivalent computer search, aber, das geht nicht somehow komfortabler/easier? EIB 500 Prioritaten will ich nicht alle von hand wieder neu Verknupfen. ICH würde mich sehr über einen guten Ratschlag freuen, Danke! =)

  Unfortunately if the links are links then them you will need to do that for all items, you can use a storage shared as a solution.

  first thing I noticed is the large image, for example

  sanders_20140326_8234.jpg is 1.6 MB in size, so it will take a while to load.

  I suggest to optimize your images and then check it out, you should see the improvement in load times. You can refer to this article to get an idea on the optimization of assets
