  From what I found in a search on the web, it is designed to occur if you make your purchase on the site of an Amazon affiliate instead of directly on Amazon.

  If you are shopping on Amazon itself, two thoughts:

  (1) you may have an outdated cookie value. To clear your Amazon cookies (note: this will disconnect you), you can do: while displaying a page on the site, try either:

  • Right click and select View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies".
  • ALT + t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies".

  In the dialog box that opens, you can delete cookies from the site individually.

  Then try to reload the page and add something to your cart. Any difference?

  (2) you have an add-on which is injected in your shopping to try to get a percentage of your purchases.

  Please, try the SafeMode as indicated above and see if that changes anything.

  Firefox working fine until this morning. Try to access amazon, but get "the connection has expired. I tried google, got the same. Tried another site for a local store, got the same error. But I tried Yahoo mail and it loads fine, including being able to send emails. Ordinary Yahoo works as well. But all the other sites don't is not loading. Tried more than an hour. We have windows vista and everything is updated. Tried to let the firewall to allow firefox, but that has not changed anything.

• Firefox has suddenly start delay when accessing the secure site

  We have an application Java Tomcat 7 on Amazon Web Services EC2 server. The server is configured so that our application is the root application and is accessible from port 80. The application and the Tomcat are configured with SSL, so that whenever someone types in the url of the site (e.g. www.something.net) Tomcat will switch to HTTPS and use port 8443.
  This all works fine, but it seems that if for some reason any Firefox expires when accessing the site, it will never reconnect on the site and any attempt to connect using www.something.net indicates that the connection has expired. Yet if you put in the port number (for example, www.something.net:8443) happens immediately.
  I tried setting compensation in web cache content, defining the limit of cache to zero and by disabling web content offline. None of this has worked. Re-installing Firefox worked.
  We if the question was limited to Firefox, but we did eventually run run in on Chrome too. On Chrome, I was able to get the browser to connect to the site by going to settings > advanced > clear data of the browser and delete the browser history, download, history, cookies and cache of images and files. Once I did the site come immediately with www.something.net and switch to HTTPS as it is supposed to do.
  It took me several months to encounter this problem. But other users have encountered immediately (for example, when configuring a new machine).
  Anyone can shed some light on this? I saw some issues, but none of them had what contributed to my situation. Can anyone suggest a way to remove all that is prevent Firefox to connect?

  Pass port SSL 8443 to 443 has solved the problem. It seems that when the www.something.net url is entered, Firefox remembers that it's an SSL site and automatically add the 's' to get the https. In fact after the timeout, the url in the browser line https:www.something.net. Of course, this is by default the SSL port (443) standard, which does not work if 8443 is used. Join port 443 has solved the problem.

  If you read about Tomcat configuration, the default SSL port is 8443. Maybe this is done for the test, but there never seems to be explained that there could be problems with 8443.

  Because of the problem of IE, I switched to FF. I downloaded the latest version and import bookmarks.

  I had the secure connection is not on Facebook, my Bank and several personal sites. Amazon apparently works very well.

  I found workaround allowing certificates to be accepted on an individual basis.

  This allowed me to see the sights, but I could not access it because of the script running. I can't add troubleshooting because I'm on a different computer.

  Thank you, unfortunately the transmitter DO_NOT_TRUST_ FiddlerRoot & fiddler2 certificates could be a sign of unwanted software on your pc that is to intercept the secure network traffic. go to the system control panel and uninstall programs such as BrowserSafeguard, BrowserSafe, backup or other software that seems suspicious and did not get intentionally installed by you.

  Amazon smart search has not only taken over Firefox, but Google Chrome and IE. I tried to uninstall anything Amazon other than the Kindle reader, that was installed several weeks ago. It didn't happen immediately after that I installed Firefox. I was looking for some cleaners, PC, accession and pilot, but read carefully and don't have a clue how Smart Search resumed. I am really upset at Amazon and will let them know. In the meantime, I have to remove my other two engines. I did the method a bit 'dangerous' to remove Firefox.   Amazon smart search has been characterized by some as a virus, and I agree with this characterization. Anything that takes over a part of my computer without my permission and on top that takes several hours to get rid of is a virus.   Amazon smart search comes with other free programs. More successful you will be asked if you want.   I just got a new 550-110, windows 10 and I go through the initial Setup on Windows 10.

  So far, I can't find or access one of the titles of software included with the computer, such as cyberlink or Bang & Olufsen Play.

  The package contained little documentation, only a start guide and warranty brochure. No other established place of discs or other items, only the keyboard, mouse, and power cord.

  @John165, welcome to the forum.

  You must click on start in the lower left corner of the taskbar.  You'll see tiles on the right side of the screen and a list of all applications on the left side.  You can scroll the applications until you find what you want.  In addition, to find B & O, you can click on the carrot next to HP Support Assistant (blue and white) in the task bar.  You should see B & O listed and simply click on it.  The control panel will open.  As a musician, I want the best sound I can get, so I tried all settings.
