  • Can't access Gmail from Firefox, using my laptop Windows 8.1

    Hello

I FVD Speed dial and Eversync installed on my Windows 7 laptop which I use for ages now and never had any problem. One of my speed dials is for my Gmail account, but I can't get into my email on my laptop which has Windows installed from Firefox or Cyrco 8.1 Although I can do without difficulty using Chrome and Opera. On this same laptop (ongoing enforcement W8) everything speed dials are great - it's only the Gmail that does not work and I get the following message:

"The page is not redirecting properly".

Firefox has detected that the server redirects the request for this address in a way that will never end.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies."

I tried every simple troubleshooting guide I can find (including going in about: config and make changes there) but nothing works and it seems (from what I've read) does anyone else have this perculiar problem that I am experiencing.

Gmail is one of the dials speed that I use most, it becomes really frustrating and I love this browser so don't want to abandon it, but if I can't solve this problem I'm afraid I'll have to.

    Can someone help me please?

  • Can only use safe mode and can not access anything except firefox

Basically, there are a few days all of a sudden, a box came up saying Windows Explorer has stopped working. No matter what I click, it returns constantly to the rear. Because I use firefox, I can't to anything except this, and I can't get him if I use safe mode.
It is terribly annoying, I have 6000 + photos and other things I need, i.e. duties.
How can I fix? I can't use the normal mode, and it's annoying.
    Thanks in advance.

Then download your data either by:

1 remove the drive and put it in a box of USB drive or use a USB adapter. Attach it to a computer that is running a working XP/Vista/Windows7 installation. Use the work of Windows Explorer to copy the data to the hard drive of the system to the rescue and burn data on cd or dvd. I prefer not to do it if I know the drive is infected because he has a chance to infect your host system. In these cases, I use #2 below.

    2. you can start the target computer with a Bart PE (if you use XP) or a Linux live CD like Knoppix and retrieve the data in this way. General information about the use of Knoppix for this are:

You will need a computer with two cd records, one of which is an engraver of CD/DVD OR a USB thumb drive with sufficient capacity to store your data, OR an external hard drive formatted USB FAT32 (not NTFS) *. Download Knoppix .iso image file and create your bootable CD. If you do this in a previous (XP or Vista) operating system, you will need the third burning like Nero, Roxio or the free ImgBurn software (Windows 7 can burn .isos natively). Burn as an image, not in the form of data. Then boot with the CD that you created, and Knoppix will be able to see the files in Windows. If you use the USB key or an external hard disk, right-click on its icon (on the desktop) to get its properties and uncheck "read only". Then click on it to open it. Note that the mouse action by default in the window manager used by Knoppix (KDE) is a simple click to open instead of double-click traditional MS Windows. If you want to burn CD/DVDs, use the K3b program.

    * My understanding is that you can now write on NTFS from Linux partition. If you wish to do this, Google for instructions on the use of the NTFS driver.

    http://www.Knoppix.NET
    http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/ - Bart PE Builder

Then do a restore clean factory/install of Windows.

I want to emphasize that you should not take what I wrote as a definitive diagnosis. I can't see or test your computer from here. I give you my opinion on your computer based on my experience as a computer tech and what you have written. If you can't do the work yourself (and there is no shame in admitting this isn't your cup of tea), take the machine to a professional computer repair shop (not your local equivalent of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad). One of the solutions proposed in this thread is to reset the Windows TCP/IP stack. In another thread on this reset, several users have posted their newspapers which doubled indicating "access denied" you probably need to run cmd.exe as administrator to overcome that if this happens to you:

There are many articles on this for older versions of Windows, but it is not so well documented for Windows 10 again. Here are a few articles for reference:

  • I can't get Firefox to load my comcast e-mail. I can browse the web using firefox, but it does not load my emails. How can I fix it?

I have a Mac, and I use Firefox for years. Recently, I started having problems loading my emails from Comcast when I use Firefox. I am able to load my mail using yahoo and safari... but not on Firefox. Can I do to solve this problem? I tried to reset firefox several times... at first, it seemed to solve the problem, and then after the first 5 minutes, it was back to my emails does not. So I uninstalled firefox and reinstalled... but no luck in fixing the problem. Any ideas?

try to clear your cache and cookies to see if that solves the problem. Incase it doesn't work, then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.

Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete the other files of cookie present as cookies.sqlite - journal in the Firefox profile folder where the cookies.sqlite file has been corrupted.

Start Firefox in Mode safe to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

As you have a PPC or Power Mac the last form of waiver Mozilla to work on the PPC is Firefox 3.6. *

3.6.23 Firefox can be found at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

Since you have a PPC Mac, there is this option of third-party for Firefox 7.0.1

From Firefox 4.0, a Mac Intel with OS x 10.5 + is required for versions of Mozilla's Firefox. http://www.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/7.0.1/system-requirements/

I tried to connect using firefox. I have a red "x" next to the web address with GB faded to the site next to her message. What should I do?

    Hi marcia312.

Looks like there may have been a problem with your installation. I recommend starting by uninstalling and then upgrade to the latest version by following these steps:

    • Get the latest version: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
    • Uninstall your current version of Firefox.
    • Do not remove the data of a personal nature when you uninstall the current version.
    • Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
    • It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.
    • Your bookmarks and other profile data stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a relocation, but make sure that you do not select delete data of a personal nature if you uninstall Firefox.

  • Can't access Google and firefox is slow

I'm currently under Firefox 42.0. I'm unable to access google.com and Firefox runs very slow time (for example about 20 seconds to load a page). Using internet explore I can access google.com and load web pages in seconds. When I try to access google.com , I get the following message "this connection is untrusted" without option to get around. I restarted Firefox in safe mode with disabled and also refreshed Firefox Add-ons, but I still have the issue. I don't have an antivirus application installed. After the update, I should add an exception to use yahoo.com (i.e., I understand that the risks add exception).

"c. uninstall Firefox from the Windows Control Panel go to"start "->" run"and type %appdata%\microsoft\windows\sendto then find the folder called mozilla and delete."

Step c. worked and now I can access google.com , and Firefox is no longer slow.

Yes, before I uninstall Firefox via the control panel. This time, I uninstalled via the Control Panel, removed the "mozilla" folder and restarted my computer.
