  Some of the games have demo versions available for download from the links and I already loaded 'Rise of Nations Thrones and Patriots' trial and that works OK on my netbook with W7 starter, for example.

  8 GB of RAM is not enough (well, 6 in the virtual machine, but I can't believe another 2 will make or break).

  I guess only 16 GB of RAM real as a bare minimum. As I have indicated, I am on 32 portable computers gig price to buy before the end of the year. Just my further contribution for manufacturers of laptop in the world. I think it would be much cheaper in a desktop computer if you do not need to travel with her.

  P.S. I noticed that nearly half of the questions on this forum seem to be related to the installation. It's just weird (and I'm not picking on you, OP). Why people request trying to do infrastructure? I get the whole argument 'I need my own box to play/learn/experience' that I need the same thing, what I don't understand is why so many people are trying to install the software on: inadequate equipment, operating systems unsupported, etc.. IOW, why no RTM? And why are they install such things on the client (it seems to be mostly consultants) material? It's what the John booths, John Goodwins, etc. of the world are for. Well, another mystery EMP which I'll probably never really understand.
  P.P.S. Jake Turrell briefed highly rated at Kscope12 on how to install the planning on a laptop. There is no technical means of odtug.com and is a step by step approach. I think he says it works on 8 GB but that could have been on a laptop equipped SSD that would ease a lot of the drive-volley, I have personally experienced.

  Well, son of a gun... looks that microsoft has made changes in their updates.

  Now when you run the "'get 10 app Windows, check your PC ' it reads in devices..." "0 problems found."

  Looks like Microsoft do with last-minute changes, as you indicated, and others have mentioned about being patient on this matter, that they may (?) have addressed this problem.  Probably won't suddenly course up until the update is done.

  Guess for now, I have to score this as accept as a Solution.

  Satellite C660-12R belongs to the PSC0QE series and as you can see all the drivers for Windows XP are available so to install XP should be no problem. You can download the drivers official and pre-tested. :)
