  I bought the laptop (HP Pavilion Notebook 17-f250) on September 2015 and this September 2016, I decided to upgrade with a 2nd SSD.

  I bought a caddy, placed my SAMSUNG EVO 850 PRO inside, removed the optical drive and then place the CART inside the laptop. It fit perfectly, no problem there.

  But Windows does not recognize it at all in MANAGEMENT OF DISKS.

  It is not here in order to format it, etc...

  My IDE/SATA appears as "AMD SATA CONTROLLER".

  I can not find anywhere no possibility of enablev AHCI etc... My BIOS is not an option to check if the AHCI drivers are enabled or not.

  With the AUTOMATIC DETECTION is my driver: AMD APU A4-6210 with graphics AMD RADEON R3.

  What caddy you bought? There are a lot of these on the market and some are not made with the highest quality control. You may have it tested with another hard drive?

  Second, the interface for the optical drive is SATA which is ahci. The drivers are not the issue.

  Finally, put an SSD in an optical drive is a little excessive spending from one optical drive interface is slower, so the speed of SSDS is wasted.   I use the drivers in the file zip of the bootcamp driver and nothing else

  any attempt to let windows update to replace have always resulted them in a roll back because of crash or poor performance and

  OK, I managed to get the driver to work!

  I completely wiped out the old drivers, driver swept, disabled wifi, then installed the old driver of Lenovo, then the new driver Lenovo, in the same session (without restarting). For some reason, it worked and I'm now able to retain the functionality of the driver Lenovo W7 when obtaining the benefits of Lenovo/AMD W8 for energy performance. Hope this is a help for those seeking to update their drivers, the performance difference is well worth it.

  Go under the ATI driver from AMD Web site we 15.7.1 version which was what my HP uploaded after the upgrade.

  The site will need a tool to analyze your laptop to find the right driver to install.   In my case since I already had the direct AMD/ATI driver installed when using Windows 8.1 when I finished the upgrade to Windows 10 the ATI software updater me notified to download the 15.7.1 driver for Windows 10.

You can download the drivers of usermade from this source: http://leshcatlabs.net/downloads_unfil/ I downloaded Catalyst 14.4 WHQL UNIFIL v2.2 and it works for me.   The new Doom was published on Friday, and with it two (AMD and Nvidia) 3D video card vendors released new versions on their drivers. I am eager to take advantage of the benefits of the latest AMD drivers on my iMac performance 5 k with R9 M290x. hit 40-50 fps seems to be only possible if I decrease the resolution and quality of rendering much - hope for new drivers. I know there are workarounds and hacks to get the iMac to install bootcamp no drivers, but there is no definitive way to the guides or the sources for instructions on how to go about it. It's frustrating to not be able to simply install new drivers every time new updates come along and rather wait for that the AMD / partnership Apple lags on the driver updated by months and months.
