  I had to replace the hard drive on my Pavilion.  After replacement, I installed Windows 7 to a new OS installation disc.  I don't have the original installation disc.  The computer works fine following the installation, but I can't connect to the internet.  Apparently, Miss him a driver, probably more than one.  When I try to connect to the internet, told me that my network card is missing a driver.  Because I can't online I can't run an automatice updating.  Suggestions to 1) what drivers I need, 2) how can I get them downloaded to another computer, to transfer to a USB key, and 3) how and where I install once that I get them?

• Pavilion dv7-6b63us: update Bios

  I have a Pavilion dv7-6b63us laptop.  I went into the Windows in file Explorer folder, msinfo32.exe entries in the search block and found that my Bios version is dated F.02 03/10/2011.  Then, I went to the section drivers and downloads for HP software and clicked on the Bios, and they showed a version of Bios F.1C dated 18/02/2016.  I downloaded the version F.1C and save my download folder.  It is safe for me to install this version of Bios on my laptop?  I read somewhere that you could be in a lot of trouble if you install a version of Bios that is not intended for your computer.  Can someone make sure it's OK to go ahead and install the Biso F.1C version?

  Recently, I've killed my Pavilion dv7 - 1147 Vista ca for the edition of office Xp Pro. I could find the drivers for pretty much everything, but I can't work in my audio drivers. I looked around, but really can't find anything on my product, in terms of troubleshooting. I don't really know what that you guys need information, so ask and I can get it for you.

  Problem solved. for someone else who has the problem, as soon as you install the MS UAA, it allows to detect certain hardware. Instead of having it go online to find the drivers, tell it to search in a specific directory on your computer. Even if you have the window "select a directory" open, run the sp45044 driver. The installation program will fail, but it puts the driver on your computer. return to the window "select a directory" and have it searching for C:\SWSetup\SP45044\WDM\WinXP. It now allows to install your drivers and audio will start to work immediately!

• HP Pavilion dv7: latest updates automatic corrupts OS. PC does not restart.

  After several upgrades of MS has been installed recently (25 +) reboot could not complete successfully and my only alternative was to restore to a previous restore point.  Automatic updates immediately reinstalled the upgrades and the next time you start gave rise to the same question.  Now, I have disabled the automatic updates to prevent this does not happen, but I don't know how to move forward.

In this case, something to do with Microsoft products and I think that HP can help you, they'll send back you to Microsoft.   Crucial test and I don't have any information to refute what they say the maintenance manual that says your laptop takes a max of 8 GB of RAM. I have never personally tried and never seen a post here from someone who has been in vain. Crucial is very good about standing behind their memory. If they say that it is compatible with your laptop and it is not that they're going to give the money back. If you buy and it works then please report here and send me a PM and we will see if HP does not change the information on this model somehow.

  Even if it's not compatible laptop computer will not explode. He could refuse to start or it could start but be prone to some bluescreens. After putting the memory, assuming that it boots up, run it through a game or something asking just check stability.
