  • Listener supports no services... ! Windows to Linux listener TNS connection error!

    Hello team,
could you please help me out in knowing how to do an entry in the listening port so that Oracle can understand my SID = ORCL is listening this port only.

    (1) I created my 1st database using DBCA.

Now, I just did an entry in the LISTENING port. ORA specifying number 1521 port,

    (2) I have created a database as ORADB I specified as 1523 port number with my host name and a different database DB3 I've specified the port number 1525.

But I've specified blindly some port numbers and my host name, I got an error, the listener, I enclose the exit to the station.

    (3) when I try to ping at the entrance in the listening port, its success. tnsping was a success and I am able to connect to oracle using the connection string,

My problem is why my interlocutor doesn't support all services and how the database is able to connect to the correct database. Please find the AMT and the exit. I've also added my TNS and listener files

    Listener supports no services... !

Windows to Linux listener TNS connection error!

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

    Where to start...

Your understanding of the role of the listener, its relationship to the database and its configuration are leaves much to be desired.

As Sybrand said, your listener just to a port, and the default value of 1521 is quite sufficient.  This is the port that the client will use to communicate with the listener to ask for a connection.  There is no relationship between this port and any database supported by the listener, nada, zilch, zero.

Second, you say you have entered like this in your listener.ora:

    ORCL =

    (DESCRIPTION_LIST =

    (DESCRIPTION =

    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC) (KEY = EXTPROC1521))

    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = dev5065) (PORT = 1521))

    )

    )

    ADR_BASE_ORCL = / u01/app/oracle

Where in the world do you have the idea to put those in listener.ora?  There is nothing like that documented in the reference Services Net (content).  Those aren't entries for tnsnames.ora, listener.ora.  And the constant repitition of ADR_BASE is useless.

The best thing you can do is to simply delete your listener.ora file and make sure that the LOCAL_LISTENER parameter in each of your databases is NOT defined.  Thereby the listener quite fortunately starts, using port 1521, and databases to record with the port to listen on this port.  Then change your customer files tnsnames.ora to 1) always specify the port 1521 and 2) remove these entries ADR_BASE.

    Hello:

Last night ' RMAN backup error: ' RMAN-04004: recovery catalog database error: ORA-12170: TNS: Connect timeout.

I can sqlplus to the target database and the catalog database. The listener is in place. What is the problem? What should I check?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    in the oratest/orapass@rmandb1 CATALOG,.

rmandb1 is the name of the service. normally the name of the service and the name of db are kept same.

check rmandb1 tnsping where you try to run ' RMAN TARGET / CATALOG oratest/orapass@rmandb1 "command.

as optput will get the ip address of the server on which db is resident, no port, Protocol

  • Customer Oracle TNS connect timeout problems

    Hi all.

I tried to connect the free versions of trial and beta to Benchmark Factory by quest software on my laptop to windows 32-bit on my desk running oracle linux.

With the help of people here, I checked my Oracle database allows incoming connections DB set up server with a routable IP #

The application that I use on my laptop constantly gives me an error ORA-12170: TNS connect timeout...

The following steps have been taken during the installation of the client software...

    -------------------------
    1. factory reference download and install
2 tries to connect to the database on the server machine, but regarldess oracle which has been entered I got a windows error saying not found Oci.dll
    3. I downloaded the zip of Oracle Instant client for 32-bit windows
4 extract the instant client download files in the bin folder of the reference plant. (this fixes the error not found oci.dll)
    5. When you are using a direct connection, I specified the following details:

    Username: linux system user name
    Password: my password of linux
    Host: 192.168.1.9
    Port: 1521
    SID: orcl
    connect as: sysdba
connect using: Instant customer (it was the only option in a drop down)
    -------------------------------------------

When I try to connect I get the AMT connect timeout error.

Anyone has any ideas what I did wrong or not done?

    Any help would be appreciated

    Matt

When everything has failed, read the Fine Documentation

    http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/database/features/OCI/IC-FAQ-094177.html

"How can I specify the connection in Instant Client mode strings?
All methods NET naming Oracle does not require the use of ORACLE_HOME or TNS_ADMIN (to locate the configuration such as tnsnames.ora or sqlnet.ora files) work in Instant Client mode. In particular, the connection string can be specified in the following formats:

A SQL Connect URL string in the form:

    Host: [port] [service name]

    such as:

    dBase-Server - 5:4321 / ORDERS

As a pair of keyword / value Oracle Net. For example:

    "(DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = tcp) (HOST = dlsun242)
    (PORT = 5521))
    (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVICE_NAME = bjava21))) »

Naming methods that require TNS_ADMIN locate configuration files continue to work if the value of the TNS_ADMIN environment variable.

If the TNS_ADMIN environment variable is not defined and TNSNAMES entries for example, inst1, are used, the variable ORACLE_HOME must be set, and the configuration files are supposed to be located in the directory of $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin.

Please note that the ORACLE_HOME variable in this case is only used to locate the Oracle Net configuration files, and any other component of Client Code Library (OCI, NLS and so forth) don't use the value of ORACLE_HOME.

The adapter unreserved or empty connection strings are not supported. However, another way to use the empty connection string must affect on UNIX TWO_TASK environment variable, or the LOCAL Windows variable, a tnsnames.ora entry or a pair of keyword / value Oracle Net. If LOCAL or TWO_TASK is set to a tnsnames.ora entry, then the tnsnames.ora file must be loaded by setting ORACLE_HOME or TNS_ADMIN.

Try to connect to the database via SQLPlus target using the tnsnames.ora entry: sqlplus bob@remote.

If the target db is 11g, then breaking the password may be the matter. Try placiing the password in quotes when you create the database link.

  • I can't connect to certain things (connection refused error)

    Hello

recently I am experiencing an error where my mac does not connect to certain things, to make an example and explain

-I can't open the web page of google

-I can't open another page Web (connection refused error)

-I can't open steam but downloads don't work and so used to the store

I had this problem once before, but a call for assistance from apple and everything worked again.

I would like to know what causes this problem and how to solve this problem, so I can't call assistance all the time

    Thank you

You may have installed one or more variants of the malware "VSearch' ad-injection. Please back up all data, and then take the steps below to disable it.

Do not use any type of product, "anti-virus" or "anti-malware" on a Mac. It is never necessary for her, and relying on it for protection makes you more vulnerable to attacks, not less.

Malware is constantly evolving to work around defenses against it. This procedure works now, I know. It will not work in the future. Anyone finding this comment a couple of days or more after it was published should look for a more recent discussion, or start a new one.

    Step 1

VSearch malware tries to hide by varying names of the files it installs. It regenerates itself also if you try to remove it when it is run. To remove it, you must first start in safe mode temporarily disable the malware.

Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or an earlier version, or if a firmware password is defined, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can not do this. Ask for other instructions.

    Step 2

When running in safe mode, load the web page and then triple - click on the line below to select. Copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination:

    /Library/LaunchDaemons

    In the Finder, select

Go ▹ go to the folder...

from the menu bar and paste it into the box that opens by pressing command + V. You won't see what you pasted a newline being included. Press return.

A folder named "LaunchDaemons" can open. If this is the case, press the combination of keys command-2 to select the display of the list, if it is not already selected.

There should be a column in the update Finder window. Click this title two times to sort the content by date with the most recent at the top. Please don't skip this step. Files that belong to an instance of VSearch will have the same date of change for a few minutes, then they will be grouped together when you sort the folder this way, which makes them easy to identify.

    Step 3

In the LaunchDaemons folder, there may be one or more files with the name of this form:

    com Apple.something.plist

When something is a random string, without the letters, different in each case.

Note that the name consists of four words separated by dots. Typical examples are:

    com Apple.builins.plist

    com Apple.cereng.plist

    com Apple.nysgar.plist

There may be one or more items with a name of the form:

    com.something.plist

Yet once something is a random string, without meaning - not necessarily the same as that which appears in one of the other file names.

These names consist of three words separated by dots. Typical examples are:

    com.semifasciaUpd.plist

    com.ubuiling.plist

Drag all items in the basket. You may be prompted for administrator login password.

Restart the computer and empty the trash.

Examples of legitimate files located in the same folder:

    com.apple.FinalCutServer.fcsvr_ldsd.plist

    com Apple.Installer.osmessagetracing.plist

    com Apple.Qmaster.qmasterd.plist

    com Apple.aelwriter.plist

    com Apple.SERVERD.plist

The first three are clearly not VSearch files because the names match either of the above models. The last two are not easy to distinguish by the name alone, but the modification date will be earlier than the date at which VSearch has been installed, perhaps several years. None of these legitimate files will be present in most installations of Mac OS X.

Do not delete the folder 'LaunchDaemons' or anything else inside, unless you know you have another type of unwanted software and more VSearch. The file is a normal part of Mac OS X. The "demon" refers to a program that starts automatically. This is not inherently bad, but the mechanism is sometimes exploited by hackers for malicious software.

If you are not sure whether a file is part of the malware, order the contents of the folder by date modified I wrote in step 2, no name. Malicious files will be grouped together. There could be more than one such group, if you attacked more than once. A file dated far in the past is not part of the malware. A folder in date dated Middle an obviously malicious cluster is almost certainly too malicious.

If the files come back after you remove the, they are replaced by others with similar names, then either you didn't start in safe mode or you do not have all the. Return to step 1 and try again.

    Step 4

Reset the home page in each of your browsers, if it has been modified. In Safari, first load the desired home page, then select

    ▹ Safari preferences... ▹ General

    and click on

    Set on the current Page

If you use Firefox or Chrome web browser, remove the extensions or add-ons that you don't know that you need. When in doubt, remove all of them.

The malware is now permanently inactivated, as long as you reinstall it never. A few small files will be left behind, but they have no effect, and trying to find all them is more trouble that it's worth.

    Step 5

The malware lets the web proxy discovery in the network settings. If you know that the setting was already enabled for a reason, skip this step. Otherwise, you should undo the change.

Open the network pane in system preferences. If there is a padlock icon in the lower left corner of the window, click it and authenticate to unlock the settings. Click the Advanced button, and then select Proxies in the sheet that drops down. Uncheck that Auto Discovery Proxy if it is checked. Click OK, and then apply.

    Step 6

This step is optional. Open the users and groups in the system preferences and click on the lock icon to unlock the settings. In the list of users, there may be some with random names that have been added by the malware. You can remove these users. If you are not sure whether a user is legitimate, do not delete it.

  • When I try to log on to Office I get the message "Connection Refused". How can I fix it?

I tried to enable Mozilla Firefox today by using the normal and systematic method by clicking on the icon of Firefox.
Whenever I tried, I got the same message "Connection Refused".
I went on the site of Firefox and read the message regarding the disabling of Java, so I opened the ADD ONS and some Plug-Ins and off Java.
Still no change, so I stopped and restarted my computer.
I get the same connection refused message.

What needs to be done to restore Firefox?

The advice you provided has solved the problem.
    Thank you jscher200.

  • HP Easy tools - connection refused error

    Hi all

can we use easy tools to upgrade the Os of our thin client versions. I did the following steps and

1 downloaded the new WES2009 image for t5740 and it suited our needs

    2. I captured the image thinclinet (t5740, wes 2009) with HP EASY TOOLS to the FTP - successful (2 GB image file)

3 deployed to an another computer thinclient (t5740, wes 2009 + has only HPDM, EASY TOOLS INSTALLED) with tools easy hp - success

    4. now, tried to install on thinclients (t5740, wes, 2003, no. HPDM AGENT & EASY TOOLS) & t5740 wes 2003 - FAILED

    Here is the log file...

    Send the file < filename.img > image

    Connection refused

Couldn't something on ther service manual. Can someone tell me what service (hpdm officer or easy tools) should remote thinclients run so that we can deploy the image using HP EASY TOOLS.

Could someone help me please I have to upgrade all of our WES 2003 thinclients to WES2009

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

If you want to deploy an image using Easy Tools, thin clients HP target must also have HP Easy Tools installed. If you deploy an image using HPDM then target clients must also have DM HP installed.

You can get HP Easy Tools from here:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en & cc = us & prodTypeId = 12454 & prodSeriesId = 3996155 & prodNameId = 3996164 & swEnvOID = 4044 & swLang = 13 & mode = 2 & taskId = 135 & swItem = vc-104221-1

Also have you tried HP ThinState? It uses the USB disk to the image of your thin clients.
