an animated gif which plays on all devices

Hello again on gifs...

I'm in PS CS4 on XP.

I created an animated gif. I was wondering if there was a way to make it work on all devices. Phones, MP3 players, computers (mac and pc)... etc...

It looks great on my computer at work and at home, but not on my iPod. He doesn't play or show on my iPod. My boss checked on his computer says you must click on the image for him to play (but I don't have to do). He did not work on his BlackBerry either.

I was wondering if there is some way out of here the gif can work on all devices, because it will be sent to a few people.

In my view, that there is a device central within the program, but not sure on this subject. There seems to be a lot of guys here, but I don't see BlackBerry? I'll check again. In the meantime, I thought I'd write this upward to see if there was a response.

Thank you.

Well, according to your own words, it already works on all devices, because they show. The rest is not really relevant. If the browsers read and display animation or not is nothing that you can control your side of things. Because play animation means refreshes additional and therefore consumption of processor power, several times it will just removed or disabled, which is entirely the display device / browser...

  • some parts of the audio of the video do not play on all devices

I recently exported a video in first pro through media encoder.  It played fine on my computer.  The video begins with a bumper with audio and then goes to a speaking spokesperson.  I then downloaded on youtube and yet once again, everything was going well for me.  But then I heard from a colleague that he could hear the audio during the bumper, but once the person got on the screen he had no audio data.  I've never run into something like this before.  I went to check and found that if I watched the video on firefox, it worked but not through google chrome (though chrome worked for me).  I thought it was a weird extension or something that she had installed that might have been originally it and don't worry.  Hey well last night our posted the video on facebook and youtube social media person arrived again reports the same behavior but this time it was on several aircraft types.

I used the 1080 p vimeo export preset in media encoding.  Everyone has faced something like this before?  This is the first time for me and just baffles me.  I think that if we could hear the intro music you should hear all audio - it's all an audio track.  But I guess I'm wrong?

I found the problem.  It turns out that it was a problem of phase cancellation.  When the audio has been converted to a stereo left mono signal and tracks right were to cancel each other.

  • loadMovie won't play animated gifs but swf plays very well

    I use CS3 Flash with ActionScript 2.

My program for extreme successfully can be recharged on a movieClip (with loadMovie) external .jpg, .png and .gif (not animated) and displays them properly. I can also have it load in an external .swf and do play correctly. The only problem I have is with... animated gifs they load, but then only show the first image/animation (even when you use play()).

Will there be a different method in addition to play() to get a clip with a loaded in animated gif to play?

This is only a sample, it is not the labour code (it is very long so did not post)... These are just the main calls that will work for the .swf file, so I thought they would work for both animated gif.

    this.createEmptyMovieClip ("myMC", 1);

    myMC.loadMovie("filename.gif",1);

    myMC.play ();

Again, my 'real' code will load and display static .jpg, .png or .gif files fine, so it will load and read files well .swf... is just animated gifs do not play.

As much as I know, you cannot read a gif animated in Flash.  Only the first image of it appears.

  • Animation does not work on IPAD (or all devices mobile apple)

I see it as a common problem which has not been answered. I posted many unanswered inquires below.

I hope that my explanation will outline only the positions previously made about it, because I tried a number of troubleshooting attempts.

For starters, it's the page that has a banner Animation of edge that runs on the desktop but not on devices mobile apple: WoodstoneSite

It is a download zipped my working files: http://woodstone.businesscatalyst.com/heroanimation.zip

Ironically, I have a project of edge more complex, interactive on this page (Client Centered Integration™) which works perfectly well on devices mobile apple:

I tried to reproduce all aspects of this working folder in the file of non-working, but there is always something different about it, preventing the operation on mobile products apple. I'm sure it's something small, but I'm not. Any help will be appreciated. Still, it seems that others have had this same problem and did not even have an answer from someone at Adobe.

    Update to the update:

Process of elimination, found that having a video embedded on the same page that an animation of edge prevents animation edge play on the devices apple mobile. Don't know why it would be a conflict, but this is a confirmed problem that could use some further investigation (staff Adobe... any help here?). It would be interesting to know if users whose name appears the same question above also had video within their pages.

  • Add static background pictures to all frames of animated gif

First of all, I'm not a regular Fireworks. I use it when I have to do something (especially web optimazations). I would use it more, but frankly in many cases, the user interface is not intuitive for any other adobe makes.

    Here's my problem...

I have to Add (not substitute) static type of basis to ALL frames (states) in an animated gif with Fireworks (with alpha), the image of the final product will be a part in the animation of web edge... Details

I have a lively seq of a spinning object has been created in 3ds max and rendered as a png with alpha seq.

I opened the SEQ "as an animation" in fireworks. I set the pace. He plays very well. So far so good...

I imported an image I want to be BEHIND the seq animated on all chassis. I tried to put it on a layer of void behind, I tried to put it on its own layer behind, but it shows that on the first image (State).

I tried to use 'share with all States', but it replaces images SEQ already on "States" rather than add behind them as in the arrangement of layers.

So first, is this possible and if so, how?

Secondly, why is it then process against intuitive in fireworks? I mean if the layer is behind something, then it should be a click on a single button or checkbox etc to say 'show on all chassis (States)', you know like any other adobe product brands. Same "ready image" made more sense than that.  My thought process that has been since I needed to find in fireworks to create and optimize the gif that I should be able to put it together again but it turns out to be much more difficult than expected. I guess I can just composite my elements in AE (which is a piece of cake compared to the Fireworks) and will then return to SEQ another think I import to fireworks to create optimized gif. While I'm a fan of the concept of 'creative suite', one of my biggest complaints about "suite" is the lack of oversite master so keyboard and fundimental UI concepts features common, shortcuts are evenly across all the apps so it works as a 'suite' and not just a collection of separate applications. I know that demanding that all applications of following certain rules would slow development, in the long run it would make it much easier for the end-user to spend more time being "creative" and less time trying to understand why something does not work as it does in other applications. Just my $.02

Thanks for any help and or explanation

From your original animation, create a new layer and then import the image into it. Don't forget to give your layer a distinct name not already in use by another layer. Don't bother trying to drag your layer to the position of the bottom of the layer stack. It's a nightmare. Instead, leave the layer to the second lowest position and then drag the layer of background (or background) above him.

Once the image has been added to its own layer and this layer has been named and properly positioned, you are ready to share with other States. Select the layer in the layers, ctrl-click for the context menu panel, then choose layer part in the States.

  • How to reposition an animated gif imported into all States at once?

I create a new document in Fireworks CS6.

I import an animated gif existing (a video AVI converted gif in Photoshop CS6).  Its dimensions are smaller than the size of the document, so for me it's just an object such as text or anything else.

I add some text to the document.

I add a small png image to the document.

(This is where comes my lack of understanding of the fireworks...)

    1. If I reposition the animated gif object this change occurs only on State (context), that I am. I want my repositioning to be reflected in all States, not only the one image... Err, STATE.

    2. the text and the png, I added are also only on this single State and I want them to be present for all managers in the original animated gif.

Sounds so rudimentary, but I can't find a tutorial or the description on how to achieve these basic steps.

This is a png image of what should look like the final image.  The largest screen captures in the middle is the animated gif.

    Broadcast-preset-reminder.png

To reposition all the elements of your both animated GIF, go in the States at the bottom panel left and choose 'Show All States' (also check multi - State edition is activated). From there, you can use the pointer tool to select the items on the canvas who want to move.

To share a layer between all States (such as the elements of your text and png), go the State in which the objects are currently present, select the corresponding layer and choose 'Share layer to States' in the menu drop-down in the layers panel or context menu.

  • What is the best way to design a gallery of images which can be seen on all devices

I'm trying to find out about the best way to convert an existing gallery in a sensitive Gallery to be seen on all devices. I have about 200 images. I know about the phones, the number of images would kill most of the data plans.

    1. what would be the optimal number of images to use on small devices (phone)?

    2. is it possible to add additional images as the largest becomes peripheral (Tablet, laptop, office, TV)

    3. are there plugins or scripts to facilitate this?

Just try to pass to sift through all the possibilities before dive page and having to redo again and again, rather than once.

Burst your gallery in bite size pieces - spread over several pages.

The optimized use of thumbnail images that do not kill data plans.

Put your images in actual size in a modal window Viewer.  In this way mobile users have a choice of whether to view pictures.  See the link below for more details.

    Now I have windows 7.

    Help? anyone?

    Thank you

    Have a look here.

Panel\All Control Panel Items\Default programs, "Associate a type of file or Protocol with a program", the command on my machine the default program for .gif is Internet Explorer.  Which appear to indicate a page full of IE with an animated .gif, maybe you need a third party program to do what you want?

Go to IE tools/internet options/advanced/multimedia. Make sure that the option to play the animations is turned on. If no joy, make sure that your connections are associated with Internet Explorer - if you click on a .gif file in windows Explorer, IE should open to view it.  Some security software can disable the animation.

  • Animated - gif align multiple layers

    Hi all

I create a gif animated turning in PS. Now I have about 37 layers, where I increment the angle of each layer with 10 degrees from the previous. But even during the alignment of all my layers with alignment tools the layers still not aligned... How can I perfect alignment? See what I mean on the picture here:

NOTE: If the gif here does not animate, see this link:

@JJMack. I don't know how to rotate the layer without frame old copy of the new position of rotation... This is why I used copies of layers

Copy you the layer and rotate. The layer must be perfectly aligned with the center of a square of 1:1 aspect ratio of canvas. Guidelines have been added 50% horizontal and vertical, three have been added a 50% to 49% and 51%. Then using the elliptical tool made fashionable trace a circle path designed by holding down the Alt key would be so the path to the Center and now the SHIFT key for the ellipse would be limited to a circle. You click the line 50% 50% crossed guide the mouse pointer snaps on and you slide the first circle of Otter.  You then assign the path mode to subtract and drag the inner circle.  Your path is now a ring. Then, you pass the rectangle tool, and subtract a rectangle path using lines 49% and 51%. Your path is now two arcs. Create two layers of filled shape colors in the removal of the ring 1/2 of the layer if you have two colorful arcs. Rastersize both and merge the two layers int one.  You have now you arches lined up from the Center.  Then its simple dupe layer action turn the layer 10 degrees the previous layer select turn off visibility select layer to the front.  Play this action until you layers 36 ring required. Create a frame in the animation have Photoshop make frames from layers using option drop-down animation of the image palette.  Remove the first IK frameworks and turn on the visibility of IK layer in which to present the first image. Lights in all frames. Save you it to the web the animated gif. PSD file http://mouseprints.net/old/dpr/ik.psd also tried to use a smart object layer ring less lose quality by turning the layer but there seems to be movement in the rotation.  Photoshop can be a problem dealing wit the transparency in the layer and the break in the circle. http://mouseprints.NET/old/DPR/ikso.PSD so I put all the layers of the ring in a group and masked group with a vector mask. http://mouseprints.NET/old/DPR/iksomask.PSD the best tool you have when you use Photoshop is the grey matter between your ears let it do its thing, it can even surprise you sometimes.

  • Animated GIF size

I need to create an animated gif banner which can be no more than 50 KB in size. I created on that more simple as I can, which consists of 8 frames and consists of some really narrowed down to image (size of the file-wise) files - and it's coming to 118 Ko when I save it for the web, using only 128 colors. Can someone please offer a gif animator amateur a few tips on how to make much smaller?

    Thank you

Yes, the best way to get the file size down is to reduce: pixel size, # of colors...

Try to use one of the presets in the save for web and see if they get more, come and play with all the # of colors / ditther options and see if you can't get it down to the size you need! u can also try to flatten all the layers?

    I hope this helps!

  • animated GIF not showing do not adequately

I have an animated gif image, and I used http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Java-Development/Display-an-animated-GIF/ta-p/445014 this link to animate the noise towards the top of the screen and that did not work properly

You can see the animation below

        }

        }

    and I have attached AnimatedGIFField.java

I think something is wrong in your establishment or the way you use this code, because it works very well for me.  Sorry you'll have to do investigative work to identify the problem.

I suspect there are two possibilities:

    (a) you have not configured your environment properly

    (b) you use something else keeps track of events

I think that (b) is the most likely, but to test these two at the same time, you must proceed as follows:

Create a new project and a new example application, then, in this application, test the screen.  Nothing else in this project - it should start just a screen, the screen should have a button, when you click the button the treatment should push the pop-up screen.

I have included my code (which combines Animation and popup screen into one file - not recommended but useful source under test).  Use this code and the image as an attachment in your new project.

    Test it on your Simulator.

Assuming that you can get this working, then we can investigate on what is actually wrong in your application.

  • [Flash Pro] Motion tween is added an animated GIF picture

    * FIRST - I couldn't find one

Hi, I'm working on a school project and we have recently I do an animation before Monday.

So my problem is that I have a GIF of a man walking (which already has images by default to make the man walk) and I can not add a motion tween.

So we learned essentially to take a car for example. We import a photo of a car (non - gif; no pre animated movement) and select it. make a symbol (video clip), then click on frame 30 and "Create motion tween" as we moved the image to the end; What makes a path automatically.

But here, I can't do that because when I import the GIF man walking, he already has lots of raster data built in front to make the moving man and I cannot understand how to really add a motion tween to make man to move (of course with its PRE-BUILT animation [gif makes the arms and legs move]) and make him cross a road I built. So basically I want the man to move from one end to the other using a motion tween (or if there are other ways to do?) and alongside with its GIF data that moves its arms and legs.

    Small SS of my calendar:

    http://prntscr.com/b2qqwa

as you can see here; the second element/first layer called "anyone walk - 1" is a GIF image and when I load it, it loads its pre movements animated and I can't create a Tween to make humans image cross one end to the other with her has pre-built ones again.

Long, but I tried to make the Guide and all other acts and I tried Googling my head, spent 4 hours and found NOTHING. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. And our teacher didn't us really learn this type of concept and neither do I class before it is due, so you are my only hope.

    Thank you.

See if you can follow these steps:

Right-click on the name of the layer to the market-1 person.

    Select the copy layer.

Go to the library and click right in and empty the part of the library window and select new symbol. Will it be a movieclip.

Now, you will be inside this new movieclip. Right click in the layer 1 name and select the layer of dough.

You now have a moveiclip of your person walking. Go back to the top level of the scene and make a new layer.

Drag the new movieclip on the stage.

You should now be able to add a motion tween to this new layer. So who has worked, you can delete your original person market-1 layer.

  • Animated GIF do not

Hello. I was trying to create an animated gif short video clip.

Import the video clip into CS5 and the multiple layers and timeline appear.

I chose "save for web and devices".

GIF is selected above, I leave the rest to the default value for this test.

I choose 'save' and give it a name, it records.

The result is a still image every time. It opens in Firefox, as a still image.

Take back a couple... While staying in CS, I see only by pressing the button "play" on the timeline has no effect. In other words, it scrolls images in the scenario, but I don't see any animation anywhere. Also, just before the recording, if I press 'preview', this show also that a fixed image.

It of maddening because I did this thing in CS before, but I seem to be missing something. I have no idea what I'm doing differently. Two hours to do a second 4 animated gif. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you!

Looks like the issue is in the timeline panel. First make sure each layer in the layers panel is unique.

Then clear the timeline (icon in the upper right corner of the timeline panel is where the menu)

    Now converting layers of images.

Click play to check that it worked.

  • Animated gif intermediate stops

I tested everything, on all browsers, and the only problem I have is on iOS currencies. My animated gif stops at halfway through on all iOS devices. Any help would be appreciated. I has a period of 18 hours

You right, it's a webkit browser problem.

You must reload the gif file or overthrow the browser cache.
