Analog telephone connection HP P7 - 1227c

Trying to fax, but requires an analog phone line. I looked all over my new HP P7 - 1227 c and cannot locate where to plug the analog telephone jack on the computer. This computer has an analog connection and if so where is it located?

(1) must be not noticably difference between suppliers.

(2) should be no performance difference between internal / external.

(3) please see this HP guide entitled "Graphic card replacement and expansion cards"... the guide is general in nature... just pull on the side, remove the back stop plate and install the map... and then reverse.

(4) you may need to buy the software, he is perhaps already on the computer, or it can be downloaded for free.

(5) Dell provides no 'real' on the computer card and I have no way of knowing what type of expansion card slot plugs into. If you can provide information about whether it is ISA, PCI, PCIe, etc that would help.

Please send Bravo

  • The telephone connection

I'm trying to connect my Tungsten E2 to my Nokia 6126 phone. When I go to the Bluetooth on the Palm menu and ask that he find my phone, it will find it. To set up a connection, I get a box on the Palm that drives me to create a 4-digit password. When I try to do, I can't get the Palm to allow me to write.  It is not a connection problem at all. The Palm can find the phone and vice versa. I can not get the Palm to allow me to write. I tried to get the keyboard to fall down, and it won't. If I press the "abc" or "123" on the bottom of the screen of graffitti, it sounds right.

Someone please help me with this.

Have you tried simply write in the grafftifi writing area instead of using the virtual keyboard?  With the flashing cursor in the box to create the code, enter the four digits in the section number of the graffiti area.

  • OfficeJet 6835: Connection printer/fax to the single telephone line with answering machine and DSL router

I change my current 2 lines phone/fax with answering machine setup and router DSL to a single line.  I have the right instructions HP and all the necessary parts and wiring diagrams, but I can't determine which of the now used phone cords is 'special' one provided in the box with your printer.  Instructions for the installation of a line saying I should use this cord between the DSL filter and the 1-line port on the printer for reliable fax.

How can I identify this original HP cord?  And, in case I can't, what makes it "special"?

    Hi @Atlantico,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support with your request.

I understand that you change the way that your fax is installed on your HP Officejet Pro 6835 e-all-in-one printer and you want to be able to identify the phone cord supplied with the printer. I would like to help.

Usually the phone cord supplied with the printer is black and a 2-wire telephone cord. There are basically 2 types of telephone cords, 2-wire or 4-wire. cords 2 telephone wires are the most basic phone cords and because the fax was built around the analog telephone systems, this is the type of cord they suggest to use.

You can identify a phone cord of 2 sons looking at the end of the connector that you plug into the phone jack. Please see the attached diagram below.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.
  • Satellite 1130 set up an internet connection

I am trying to set up an internet connection on my laptop using a disc of wanadoo, and all I get is an error message saying cannot establish a connection. tried about 6 times in total and still does not connect. The computer modem works fine, the only thing I thought I could be was when I tried first there came over analog telephone lines and digital, I can't get this screen up to change.

Any ideas what could be wrong or how I can change the line defining?

    Hello

Internet provider wanadoo is not known to me, but if you use their software you should contact them. They should have enough experience with own products. Each laptop manufacturer is responsible for the operation of the equipment that must operate at will with pre-installed software. Other problems are different and you should try to clarify with the internet service providers.

I recommend to remove this software and try to set up the internet connection using the Windows settings. To configure the internet connection with modem is very simple and if you know this number and the password should not be any problem.

  • 2 phones connected to the same line with PAP2

    Hello

Is it possible to connect a phone to the first port, a second, and use both in the same line?

I configured and only works with a single line.

    Thank you

    Yair.

    Hello

No, this is not the right way. The first port belongs exclusively to recording the line1, second port exclusively to recording of line 2.

If you want two phones (such as another in the bedroom lounge) ringing on incoming call, simply use the "splitter" to make the phones at the same time and that's it - SPA/PAP Traffic has enough power to operate up to 3 analog telephone devices on each of the ports. I used to have 2 analog phones in parallel on (the only one) FXS ports of SPA-1001 and it works beautifully.

PS: mae good course use you only 2-wire cable (internal thread) to connect the PAP2T FXS1 port and the phone (s). The 4-wire cable may make some analog phones crashing the device PAP2T IDE oucederomsurlesecondport FXS1.

  • CTCE Officejet 6500 Fax Modem connection has more

    ORIGINAL MESSAGE:

HP 6500 Officjet has more.  Time Warner Cable installed a telephone modem TWC eMTA and split the line of incoming telephone into the wall jack, while retaining the original outlet in Officejet 6500 has more connection as indicated in the manual of HP.

However, he then disconnected the connection back to Officejet 6500 has more to the telephone base unit, even if the installation HP statement indicates the connection shall be connected directly to the telephone receiver.

The technician then connected the TWC eMTA modem to the second part of the splitter to the wall outlet.  The phone works perfectly, but in the race a fax test fails a tone detection.

The fax test print States to remove the splitter and connect the fax directly to the wall socket, but remove the separator is not an option, as there is no connection to the eMTA TWC telephony modem.   The manual mentions also using a digital-analog filter or converter, like the Officejet requires an analog connection.

My understanding is that the reason for the direct connection from the HP device to the telephone receiver allows the fax listening to the phone line for a tone and a fax signal and respond to the line after 6 rings and to send a fax.

Don't attempt to send a fax test fax test HP 'No Answer' number statements, which means that the Officejet had no dial tone.

Suggestions for connections that operate, or what analog digital filter or converter to use, would be appreciated, like TWC has no solution.

I thought I had solved this case myself by disconnecting all connections made by this technology TWC and followed the manual of HP.  I started with the newly installed separator and reconnected the separator to the input line of the OfficeJet and connected the output of the OfficeJet directly to the phone base unit.  To get the connection telephony TWC, I connected a second line of the second take of the splitter modem telephony TWC (the latter which is connected to the TWC cable output).  Problem solved: NO - Fax tone, a tone phone and yells, but none of the calls incoming.  To get the incoming phone calls, had to disconnect the line from the phone base unit and reconnect the unit on base of telephone modem telephony TWC by result, incoming and outgoing calls, but not the Officejet, so no fax tone.

    =================================
I am not employed by H - P & I do not look for congratulations, fair solutions.

Gemini02: Thanks a lot for your attempt to help.  It turns out that he didn't need an analog filter or a converter.

'Knowledge-information technology-better than you' technology contract for Time Warner Cable didn't know what he was doing in a first step in dealing with the HP Officejet, or much else, as his only totally disconnected from the Officejet actions.

First of all, to the phone outlet, where the incoming landline connected initially to the Officejet, he installed a useless Dispatcher and reconnected the Officejet to it (a line now dead).  The connection to the Officejet was to be performed to a modem (direct line), Time Warner phone instead.  All of the remaining connections should have been left as they were.  Instead, this tech then connected the telephone base unit Panasonic TWC telephony modem (where a live telephone connection) and the outgoing line of Officejet to the second connection on the split bar newly installed (a deadline) and therefore no dial don't tone for the Officejet.

As I had no idea about the operation of the outlet now amended, there had me time again unplug everything and realize that the incoming connection was not this splitter connected outlet and , but in fact the modem telephony. TWC

Connected the Officejet directly to the modem telephony TWC, culminating in the Officejet tone.   The outgoing line the Officjet directly linking to the Panasonic phone plant, leading to the tone at the telephone base unit.  Sent a fax requesting a return fax, resulting in 4 traffic lights and answering machine pickup, and after 6 rings, received a fax.  The splitter is unplugged from the wall dead and thrown in the trash.  The problem is finally solved.

Thanks again for all the responses.

  • ATA 186 to connect to an SPA3102

I have things hung as follows:

    PBX<==>SPA3102<==><==>ATA186 analog telephone

    IP addresses:

    SPA3102 - 10.1.1.144

    ATA186 - 10.1.1.45

    SPA3102 Config:

    5.2.13 firmware (GW002)

    Line1 is off.
Ethernet cable is connected to the Internet port

    On the PSTN line tab:

    SIP port: 5060

    POST SIP Port: 5060
    Proxy: 10.1.1.45

    Register: No.

    Call without Reg: Yes

Call for years without Reg: Yes
    Full name: 423
    User ID: 423

    Password: 123456

    Numbering plan 1: (S0<:gw0>)

    Dial Plan 2: (S0<:10.1.1.45>)

PSTN ring across the line 1: No.

    ATA186 Config:

    Firmware: 3.02.01

    Under SIP settings:

    UID0: 423

    Password0: 123456

    SIPRegOn: 0

    Proxy: 10.1.1.144

Anyway, I can't get these two to work in this configuration. When I try to make a call from a PBX to the ATA186, I see from the SPA3102 will receive an invitation to the ATA186. The ATA186 responds with a "404 Not Found".

When I try to make a call from the ATA186 to the PBX, I see an invitation of the ATA for the SPA. Inside this prompt, there "sip:@10.1.1.144. Then I see the answer of the SPA with a "status: 100 Trying" followed by a "status: 503 Service unavailable '.

No indication on how to connect the two devices together will be very appreciated! Thank you!

Assuming that your Dial Plan 1 is the VoIP calling by default DP under the Voip to PSTN gateway, I think the dial plan should be (xx.).  Maybe the (S0<:gw0>) works, I don't know, try (xx.) and see if that makes a difference.  You told me that was planted in the line PSTN tab UserID to 423.  If the ATA call 423 ([email protected]/ * /: 5060) the SPA should return a tone and wait the digits for numbers.  If the ATA call the PBX extension number ([email protected]/ * /) where xxx is the number of post, then you have a phone on a floor and the SPA3102 should dial this number on the FXO port after there he won.

The INVITATION contains the number sent to the SPA3102.

If you are running WireShark he reformatted the sip signaling so that you can see exactly what is happening.  After you capture a test call click you on the phone, then on "Voip calls".  WireShark then puts up a screen display detected than VoIP calls.  You click your test call to highlight, and then click 'stream '.  Wireshark is implementing another magnificent screen that shows the SIP signaling between the ATA and the SPA3102.  My version of WireShark is Version 1.6.4.  There may be future versions.

Another debugging tool is the Trace of the Sip Debug.  You install a program on a local computer syslog, put the ip address of the local computer under debug the server on the SPA3102 System tab, set the level of debugging on 3 in the System tab and set the Option Debug Sip to FULL-on the tab line PSTN (then on the tab line too if you use).  You can download a simple Windows pc syslog program here:

    https://supportforums.Cisco.com/docs/doc-9862

Traces of Debug Sip will show internal things going on inside the SPA3102, which do not appear in the Trace of WireShark, but WireShark trace shows exactly what is happening inside and outside the SPA3102 on the ethernet link.

The duration of CPC Min setting you mentioned is for the detection of a signal coming into the attached FXO analog line port CPC.  As you know a signal CPC is a complete the voltage drop on the line of signalling the far part disconnected from the call.  You would increase the minimum to stop detecting voltage drops false that disconnect an ongoing call.  I'm surprised that increase the duration would solve your problem of disconnection.

  • How do I connect my new Apple TV to an Onkyo receiver so I can listen to music on zone 2?

I have an Onkyo TX-NR515 A / V receiver attached to a TV Apple 3rd generation. The receiver only accepts an analog feed its speakers to zone 2, to solve that I connected outbound connection of ATV HDMI Theater 1/home area and the outgoing optical connection in an analog converter that I am connected to the digital input TV/CD which became ATV feed source for zone 2. I recently bought the new apple TV, when connecting, to my horror, I discovered that it was only a point of sale, which means that I don't have a second signal to transform analog and connect to zone 2. Any ideas on how I can resolve this issue without transforming the two areas in analog or to buy a new receiver? So far the only feasible option I can think is to keep my old Apple TV, give a new and berating the Onkyo and Apple for her.

They sell HDMI optical converters as Mark J-tech, you could add to your Setup program to make it work.

However, your amp inputs HDMI on the wazoo.  What is your current speaker configuration and that you use the zone 2 for?

It is a simpler way to make it work.

  • Mac mini as a media server connected to the hi-fi amplifier

    Hello

I am considering a Mac Mini to replace my old Lacie Cinema player as my media center. It will be connected to television and, ideally, analog hi-fi amplifier for sound.

Here are my questions and special needs:

-want to browse my music library and control the Mac through my iPad or iPhone. Don't want to use the keyboard or the physical remote. Do something like plex installed on ipad control files that reside on the Mac mini (or external hard drive connected to the Mac Mini)?

-as my amp is analog (with RCA plugs) I guess I have to convert the RCA plugs to the digital amplifier. A Mini Mac USB RCA DAC exist?

I think that's it! Thanks for any help.

The Mac Mini are very small computers.

(for me, it almost seems like a waste to use as only a media center. I use my media center and an office at the same time)

Not sure about this one. I am a user of office and control my media from there.

Everything you need for an analog RCA connection is a stereo 3.5 mm to RCA cable.

  • Can I use HDMI to connect PC to TV?

I have a p7-1020 HP running Windows 7, 64-bit and a Viore LED24VF60 TV. I can connect to the TV using the analog VGA connections available on the PC and the TV. It works well with a resolution of 1920 x 1080.

I tried to use the DVI on the PC connection, a DVI to HDMI adapter and a cable HDMI to the TV. This works except that the image is too large for the screen. The Start Menu and the Date and time are not visible, even if the resolution of PC is set to 1920 x 1080.

Is this typical? Do I need a special driver? (I checked out the web site of Viore but could not find an answer).

The DVI video signal is the same as HDMI. The only differences are the plugs and DVI does not audio. If I attached a DVI to HDMI adapter to DVI output of my PC, then a standard out HDMI cable to the TV.

My original message noted that became the signal to the TV but it has been "spread" too and the perimiter of the Office was not visible. Since I found the solution. My graphics card is ATI and after much hunting around in the ATI Catalyst Control Panel, I finally found a slider to adjust the overscan and was able to adapt to the desktop to fit the TV.

  • Analog inputs measures with NI6229 using the DAQmx driver

    Hello

I have four different analog inputs connected to ai0 to HW 6220 ai3. I read these values with a single task, all 4 channels assigned to this task. When ai0 reads 7V, I see 0.8 V ai1 too, but I expect to be measured 0V. If I just assign ai1 to the task and measure all 4 channels, then I measured 0V as expected (although ai1 contains 7V, I just don't measure it).

Another comment 'funny', is that if I change the order in which I add channels to the task, measurement errors are different.

However, when measured with a multimeter 4-channel show tensions as expected.

Given that my calling task is can not block, I call the function

    DAQmxReadAnalogF64 with timeout = 0 and numSampsPerChan = 1.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

    Kind regards

    Deepa

    Deepa,

    Thanks for the code snippet.

When you call DAQmxReadAnalogF64 the first time and you set a value of timeout of 0, there is a chance that the acquisition is not yet initialized. This is the expected behavior and should not be a problem. If the timeout error died at the first call, you might ignore it or set a different expiration time for the first call only. In all cases, you should drop the first value and start with the second value.

  • How to generate a call via mobile phone connected to the pc by usb

    Hello

Comment on the call of the UN peut-on generate via mobile phone (nokia6680) connects to the pc by usb from labview?

I have installed "nokia PC suite". is possible perhaps-this one starting from the palette "Connectivity/library and executable" start this app and automatically generate a call to a predefined number? It sounds complicated and ca me don't think so that it works...

Apparently these are the commands that allow a cell phone from a PC of Girardon. Y ' there way to use a hyperterminal type program pay to try their hand and then be able to use the VISA features in labview? Pour the moment, I don't see how start. Ports of HyperTerminal manages the communication with RS232 type but comment Girardon the USB Installer takes it a soft pour mobile phone USB connection behaves as a virtual RS232 port?

I have seen comment importer a dll in labwindows on another project but we must have the description of the dll, the functions name pay to use. In this case, I have all this.

Thanks if qq can help me car the, I'm blocking (I saw that there were messages on this topic but ca don't allowed me to establish a communication with the phone outside the nokia PC suite software).

My but is send an alert by such pour a data acquisition application that runs on a computer laptop not connect a network of the United Nations.

    JF

Finally, it runs. When the telephone connection after installing nokia pc suite and a usb cable, the phone appears like adding a virtual COM and another element: "Nokia 6680 usb modem cable. Select the line corresponding to the additional virtual COM port, in my case, it appears as "COM17. Configuration is easy: choose transmission speed (bps 9800 or else up to 115200bps, apparently the phone can detect the selected speed of the rate), 8 data only bits, no parity, no flow control. Then you can send orders to:

Xxxxxxxxx ATD. followed by the return to call a wagon phone (the phone number is xxxxxxxxx), at the end of the command is required to call (if there is a detected error 'NO CARRIER')

    to send an SMS, send:

    AT + CMFG = 1

    AT + CMGS = "xxxxxxxxx".

then tape the message to send, followed by Ctrl-Z (ASCII code: 0x1A)

If you are interested in this subject, I advice allows you to start the test with hyperterminal or another program to easily implement a serial communication, and then implement in Labview. I guess the AT commands are a little bit different with other phones like Nokia.

Note: to send Ctrl-Z with Labview, right click on the array of strings in the scheme of hexadecimal code, then select Add 1A and re - click to print the normal code...

  • Connection of remote offices SPA3102

My boss just bought two SPA3102 VoIP routers in an attempt to set up a VoIP connection to a remote office, thus avoiding expensive international calls.  I'm looking for advice on setting up.

This is the ideal configuration, we're after.  Box, it is in the seat, and it is connected via the RTC port on a phone line (in fact the PBX).  His IP address is 192.168.32.8 (we are without using the routing of each box function, then the two boxes are connected to the network via the WAN port, with the side LAN not used at all).  Any incoming call on the telephone line must be connected directly on the phone connected to the box of two.  There is no phone connected to the box one.

Box 2 is in remote desktop. For testing purposes, its IP address is currently 192.168.32.9.  He got a telephone connected to the telephone port, and the PSTN port is connected to a standard telephone line.  We want the phone to use the RTC line by default, but if the user dials 9 then, we wish the appeal directed to the PSTN line on box a (i.e. PBX.), where it can dial into a PBX it seeks.

The offices are connected by a virtual private network, so there is no NAT anywhere to worry.

I have a problem in this place, what with the instruction light manual and confusing options, so any help much appreciated!

Here are the settings I've worked. I have omitted some.
