  Mute key functionality is provided by IDT Audio software, so the problem may be that Windows 8 has installed a reference driver that does not contain.  Often, the Windows 7 version works Ok, so I would try downloading and installing the following driver IDT.

  Once the installation is complete, restart the laptop.

  I am currently trying to install Command and Conquer: red alert on my computer, which is running Windows 7. I have scoured the internet for answers and found the following two sites which, although not specifically designed to Windows 7, I thought may help: http://www.ehow.com/how_4852443_conquer-red-alert-windows-xp.html and http://www.ntcompatible.com/compatdb/details/command_and_conquer_red_alert_windows.html. From the second link, I downloaded the compatibility tools kit which, I suppose, has allowed me to get to step 10 on the first link.

  Which means that I did everything up to actually be able to install the game. When I try to install the game I get the following error: "the version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you are using. Check your computer's system information to see if you need a x 86 (32 bit) or x 64 (64-bit) version of the program and then contact the software publisher. "I looked at the system information and Windows 7 is a 64-bit program (which many of you probably already know, I'm not very tech savy). In any case, I wonder if there is a way in which I can get this Windows 95 (32 bit of sense game I guess) to run on Windows 7. Any help is appreciated thank you.

  Go to the file/project settings/general and change the rendering on "Mercury Playback Engine software only" engine.

  Press OK, you will get a dialog box in which select "remove previews."

  I tried switching the default 4 themes on the device and still not go. Then I downloaded and installed a new theme and then switched back to my original them and that seems to do the trick.

  I would recommend making sure that all the drivers and BIOS are up-to-date for your system. All updates available for your system can be found here. You can use the drop down lists to filter by operating system and type of device. After that all who have been downloaded and installed, try to put the machine to sleep, and then see if the problem persists.

  I looked on the Tools menu, click account settings, and then you click Server settings. Type of server has mail POP server name server pop - server.socal.rr.com.
