Hello Kumar_Krish,
Best place to start would be our tools page: http://developer.blackberry.com/android/tools/
We have a card for Eclipse, or CMD tools to help turn your existing project or the APK in an application compatible with BlackBerry 10.

Drivers for Android development
I try to get my Samsung Galaxy S4 put in place for debugging applications Android (using Eclipse) but I can't find the correct USB drivers. The Android (http://developer.android.com/tools/extras/oem-usb.html) development Web site provides a link that is supposed to lead the OEM Dell drivers to activate a device to use when debugging app. But the link (http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs& ~ = anavml ck) always redirects me to Dell Product Support.
I have a Dell Inspiron 17R 5720 running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.
I tried to debug on my S4 without the driver installed, but Eclipse may not recognise and it doesn't show as online (shown in the included screenshot). Eclipse did recognize the Nexus 4 AVD I created, but not my S4. I have enabled the developer and debug options USB enabled in the settings of my phone.
If I could get help to find the appropriate driver or an alternative to work, I would be very grateful.
Your erroneous adb / fastboot drivers are specific to the specific PC device not what model of phone I'll make you the link and the drivers.

Use hp 7 android on ubuntu 14.04 development more
Hello
I want to use my hp 7 more development android on ubuntu 14.04.
When I plug it via usb, adb does not recognize the device (it is not listed with others after "adb devices-l").
I think I need to add the seller details to etc/udev/rules.d/51-android.rules.
Is this correct? If so, what are the details?
If this is not the case, how can I do this?
Thank you very much (and sorry if it has been answered before--did make a search, could not find).
Update: the operating system recognizes the device (it mounts, I can browse the directories through files etc.) - this cable etc. are fine. But access the device via adb etc does not work.
device appears on lsusb: Bus 003 device 023: ID 03f0:6b1d Hewlett-Packard
Update: tried to add the following line to 51 - android.rules, no joy:
SUBSYSTEM is "usb", ATTR {idVendor} is '03f0', ATTR {idProduct} is "6b1d", MODE = "0600", OWNER = "xxxx".
Update: seems to work with the following:
SUBSYSTEM is "usb", ATTR {idVendor} is '03f0', ATTR {idProduct} is "6c1d", MODE = "0600", OWNER = "xxxx".
Thanks Provost,
But it works fine now - so I don't need to root this device use it to Android Development (as most of these devices, it can be used for development without rooting). Changes made to the file are made on the machine of Ubuntu, not the Tablet from HP.
Essentially, my post asked for confirmation of the details re the seller / product id for this HP Tablet - very appropriate for this forum and not something I expect replied on a Ubuntu forum.
I'll mark the following as the reference solution.
Add the following (with details appropriate owner) at /etc/udev/rules.d/51-android.rules in the ubuntu machine:
SUBSYSTEM is "usb", ATTR {idVendor} is '03f0', ATTR {idProduct} is "6c1d", MODE = "0600", OWNER = "xxxx".
Kind regards.

I just started using Adobe extract CC (assets.adobe.com), get the PSD files to development, which has been a huge timesaver for documentation. Our developers are now asking for more information such as the ability to extract the dimensions instead of PX or % DP. Is this possible with extract, or work around, or is there something else I could say to our developers to help them get the information they need?
Thank you!
Hello!
Really happy to head extract saves you time.
Looking at Android developer documentation the relationship px / dp is given by: px = dp * (dpi / 160). This means that if you create your designs/PSD to 160dpi (named 'Resolution' in Photoshop, with units of 'Pixels/inch'), then px and dp will be the same value.
Alternatively, you can look at the resolution that you have created the PSD at and use the formula above to convert to DP.
Hope this helps

SmartBand as a device of confidence in Android Lollipop
In the latest version of Lollipop Android Developer, I can choose the SmartBand as a trust for Smart Lock device. But, in addition, nothing happens. My sbh80 bluetooth headset works perfect as a device of trust SmartBand Strawberry unfortunately not. Does anyone know why?
I had the same problem at first because the smartband has not been appearing in BT devices.
But I managed to fix it and now my smartband unlock my phone!
What I did:
-Get the BT of android menu
-Put the off smartband (veeeery prolonged pressure on the button. He goes first to the night mode and then turns off)
-Turn the smartband
-Quickly search 'SRW 10' in BT devices near the phone screen
-Click on 'SRW 10' manually connect to it before the TI auto connects and hides
-Voila! Now the SRW 10 is visible in the list of devices, I even had a notification asking if I wanted to become a trusted device.
So now my smartband is around my lock is disabled! I love this feature!

Start the native application of the android app
I need to do a task which is not allowed to make an android app. So I created a native app and I want to start this app for my android app. Is this possible?
I found this question as soon as 2013 (https://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Android-Development/How-to-register-my-Android-app-as-Conten...), but it's 2 years old...
I don't want to develop my entire application natively.
Thks in adv
It is possible to what you describe. An Android application can invoke a native BlackBerry 10 application. You can even create a headless BlackBerry 10 app that runs in the background (similar to a service on Android). So the action can be executed without the user see the GUI of the native application.
In addition, starting with native apps BlackBerry BlackBerry 10 10.3.2 can launch Android applications. Here are a few links to help you get started on the side BlackBerry 10.

Lack of 4.2.2 Android API of the basic documents
Hey people,
I was pleased with the release of support of 4.2.2 with the Android Runtime Android. I looked for an updated list of supported APIs, but the only thing I could find was:
The BlackBerry Runtime for Android apps applications supports Android 4.2.2 (BlackBerry 10.2 beta) and 2.3.3. 4.2.2 Android API support information will be available soon.
On the official Android Runtime API Support Page (https://developer.blackberry.com/android/apisupport/).
Do you have any delivery date for documentation that you can share with us? I'm very curious to know if the NFC is supported in the new version of Runtime Android.
Thank you for your help.
Best regards
Raphael
Hi RThie,
Thanks to touch base.
By our roadmap, the Gold release 10.2 for the iteration of Jelly Bean of the Runtime for Android BlackBerry applications will be in August. At that time, the Jelly Bean 4.2.2 documentation will be available.
Note: Near Field Communication (NFC) is not on the roadmap for inclusion in the next update. However, it is supported on the platform of development native/Cascades.

Hey srk2012,
It is a problem with the installer of Google that I was not able to find a complete solution to.
You can try to make a copy of the folder 'tools', designating something as "toolsCopy" and run "android.bat" from this directory via command line.
Other than that, you might find some success audit StackOverflow.
