Animation in Captivate 8

Hello

This may seem a stupid question, but I can't seem to find out how to insert an animation in captivate 8.  I can insert and slide animation?  What an animated object?

Thank you kindly

Ali

  • Flash Animations in Captivate 5.5

    Hello

    Can you help me here?

I have a few small animations that I need to keep playing in my Captivate movie, which if I select loop, they remain a loop until she reached the buttons, then they stop.  Is all the same to keep looping animations all the time?

My animations are built in Flash 5.5 and are exported in the form of AS3, Flash Player 9 - although there is no evidence to in the anims.

    TIA

You did it ensure that animations are that I am a movieclip in the Flash timeline?

  • When importing a flash animation in captivate flash won't call external files

Is there a way to import flash into captivate and it still be able to call external files (ie. xml sound or video)? When I import a flash in captivate it will not call any external file.

Just for the follow-up of this. I got files from Marcus on the email and the problem is that the Flash file using ActionScript 3 (AS3) and Captivate 3 doesn't support the Flash AS3 files.

That's why it would work as expected.

  • Missing animation on 8 Captivate files

When you try to insert a slide of Animation on Captivate 8, I can see the SWF Animation files (arrows, etc.), but they do not contain any GIFs (see screenshot below). Could be an installation problem? If so, should which file I try to reinstall? I managed to install Active files of e-Learning include the characters and widgets.

The thoughts and suggestions are welcome; Thanks in advance.

    animation.jpg

I don't know why the Animation slides are always there, never used even in previous versions. You can insert an Animation (under the big button media) or a HTML5 Animation. Animations included in the gallery are sovereign funds, which means that they will be functional for SWF-output. There have never been animated GIF included, but they can be inserted. If you create them in Photoshop (like me) or similar, be careful not to use images with a duration of 0 seconds. The alternative are animations of HTML5, which can be created in edge animate or other applications.

  • Captivate 7 animated GIF not grateful?

I used photoshop CS6 to create a GIF animated from a video clip. using the timeline, I have a file saved in. GIF format and it's clearly an animation. When I insert > animation CV7 says "the file is not an animated GIF file. It starts to become a little ridiculous when you consider that the file has been made using the PS and that it IS an animated GIF. I wonder if there is some kind of 'special' works I need to get them imported or if I'm somehow not recording properly?

Does anyone has had problems with GIF animated in Captivate 7?

    Thanks in advance.

the image in question is here:

    60RPM-85.gif

    Hi Jon,

I think it's because the time-out value that you set for each image in Photoshop.

Please go to Photoshop, open the source file, could you please the 'delay' for each of your frame to 0.01 or value if it shows as 0, this can be done using the animation image window. Re-save the GIF format for Web devices and import in Captivate, see, if you're abale to inport this time in Captivate. Even if the step is applicable to a different problem, but I'm curious to know if this could solve.

Second, you could try inserting an image rather than the animation, the message means it is not a full animation, but a regular file.

    Thank you

  • Next to restless Captivate flash animations

I use Flash animations in Captivate 3. The animations are published for Flash Player 6 before being incorporated in Captivate. The Captivate project is published for Flash Player 9.
The animations look good in the Captivate SWF published when I run the SWF file directly into Flash Player. However, if I run the SWF in a browser (I tried both IE & Firefox, have Flash Player 9.0.45.0), the animations look very slow and jerky. What could be the reason?

    Kind regards
    Mohsin

    Kevin & Rick,

Thanks for your replies. I diagnosed the problem. He had nothing to do with frame rates.
What was actually happening, it's that my Captivate SWF was originally 1024 x 768, but when you open it in an HTML element, I was it NOT load at 100% of its size. Instead, I was loading to 880 x 660 in the my HTML OBJECT tag, which caused the outcome. Even when I was opening the SWF directly using IE, IE would resize the content to display fully, causing the animations play within the scale. This, somehow, makes look jerky.

    See you soon!

  • Publish as HTML5 animation without player controls?

    Hello

I'm new to Captivate 9, passing on the hinged side. I have a project I want to publish as an auto play / to HTML5 animation that I can embed in a web page. I don't want no visible controls, the framework or the skin. Just an animation that starts playing when the web page opens and continues to repeat playback. Is this possible with Captivate?

    Thanks in advance.

    Chris

Found my answer of Captivate pro Joe Ganci. Under themes > Skin Editor, clear the check box show the read command. Click the borders button in this dialog box, and then clear the Show borders check box. Voila, the animation without Captivate HTML skin.

    Thanks Joe!

  • Why use Edge animate in Captivate 9?

    Hello

I am VERY new to Captivate and most Adobe products and am not a web developer or programmer.  I learned how to use 9 CAptivate and understand you can do advanced animations (and more with the function of calendar in the working area).  However, I recently took a course (a pretty good on the site Adobe know-how) on sensitive site, building 8, Captivate and the instructor used edge animate to do something similar.  I do not understand that Edge animate has other uses and has more features that advanced in Captivate 9 animations, but if I want to only produce a little advanced animations and simple movements, I use Edge animate to do this?  I guess what I'm trying to understand where are the limits to capabilites animation Captivate 9 against Edge animate?

    Thank you!

Animate edge can create animations and "was" considered to be the alternative for Flash animations at the start of the hype of HTML5. However, Edge animate is more will continue during development, the month next Flash Pro will be renamed CC animate and will be able to post files OAM, as Edge host used to do. Captivate has the ability to embed animations such as you can embed animated GIF (old but still functional to both output SWF and HTML5) as well. However, it must be aware of the fact that there is no communication between these animations and Captivate, unless you know JavaScript. Such communication is possible using widgets.

Since you are new, I often have problems with the terminology. You want simple movements in Captivate 9? Use the effects of movement, much easier to create and manage than to try to do it with another application. The effects are possible in Captivate, no need for another application at all. What do you mean by "advanced animations? If explain you it, maybe I can also offer you an alternative to animate dashboard? I used it with Captivate 8, but right now, I'm perfectly happy with what's available in Captivate. Edge Animate has (d) the possibility of incorporating some code snippets (JS) or write your own code. Captivate has advanced actions, shared stocks and you can also launch the JavaScript code. I don't think Edge animate has 'more' feature if you want to create Captivate e-Learning courses! Or do you have another goal?

  • What to put in pause/resume command as3 captivate 6.

OTN I work for only wants to work with vanilla to captivate and flash versions as well as widgets are too difficult to convince them to use.

I need a break start captivate using an external call but so far... good .no on these sub form scripts

get an alias for the main movie.

    Stop();

    var myRoot:MovieClip = MovieClip (root);

    var mainmov:MovieClip = MovieClip (myRoot.parent.root);

Say things to stop and or continue.

    mainmov.cpCmndPause = 1;

    mainmov.cpCmndResume = 1;

I guess it should work because that is what was suggested by a bunch of other developers useful.

But when I paste these into a swf and load it as an animation in Captivate... I get nothing!

Someone at - it a petter process does not include a widget?

    See you soon

Try using the old variables rd.

  • Edge using animate with Captivate

I would use Edge lead to perform a work of animation and then it to Captivate. Is it possible to do this?

I'm very new to all this, so not sure the best methodology to use to add interactive elements in Captivate. Right now I use custom illustrations designed in Illustrator I want to make it interactive and animated in Captivate.

Woohoo! Understood how do. Watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yq3z9YWZvkk. What you need to do is to export the Adobe Edge animate like an OAM, which you can join under FILE > PUBLISHING SETTINGS. For the target of the publication, select the "animate Deployment Package" and you're ready to go!

  • Animation plays faster in preview by itself?

Hi guys, so my animation (swf) plays much faster in preview mode (Captivate 6, including update) that when I right click on it and choose to play alone. I produced with Adobe Flash and tried to slow it down to 5 frames per second (it's about 180 frames for a long time), but he again too fast when I preview the entire slide (it does not matter what mode it overview, I tried all). As I said, when I right click just the animation on the slide and play there, he plays the right speed. What is the problem? Thank you very much! NAT

It has been a while since I've done an animation in Flash and used in Captivate, so please correct me if I'm wrong:

Do the framerate of the swf and the correspondence of the Captivate project? You mention changing the overall rate at 15 in response to the message from Lilybiri, but do not tell what the framerate was for animation swf in this scenario. The best practice (in my experience) is to make an animation, is 30 frames per second in Flash and you need to make sure that it lasts the time, for in Captivate. If you need 2 seconds, it should be (2 times 30) 60 images in Flash.

If you have an animation that is 180 pictures at 5 fps, it should, as far as I understand it, play Flash like 36 seconds long. The problem comes when you import into Captivate, as you found, that AFAIK will play the animation using Captivate framerate, not the framerate of origin. The default value of 30 frames per second, only 36 seconds turns into 6 seconds. (180 divided by 30, instead of 180 divided by 5) At 15 frames per second, it would last 12 seconds. (180 divided by 15)

To get it to last the same amount of time, you need to Captivate the same animation (5 fps) framerate, which I doubt would look very good.

You can extend the Flash animation, so change the framerate at 30 FPS and adding more images to make it last as long you want to last?

  • Captivate and Flash

    Hello

I made a captivate content with flash animation and I puslihed on a LCMS.

When I run it, I heard the noise of the first flash animation, the captivate content is not loades, so I do not see the first slide...

The second problem happened when I click on the button "Pause". The content captivate paused but not the flash animation, why?

    Concerning

Ahh... Ok.  It would be probably due to Audio compression settings you use in Flash.

Go back to your Flash file and change the settings in publication for the quality of the Audio.  By default, they are not very high, which means that once you pull the audio in Captivate and compressed here as well as become very degraded.

Experiment a bit until you find a combination of settings that seems OK. It means that your size is likely to increase.

  • Need help, Flash comboBox closes after scrolling (swf embeded in Captivate 4)

I outsourced the swf resources animation in captivate 4. This swf using Flash MX comboBox and ActionScript 2.  I had to import the comboBox class in the swf file. The problem I encounter is that when you scroll the cursor in the comboBox, the drop-down list closes as soon as you release the cursor, before making a selection.

The standalone swf works as expected. I only get this problem when it is in Captivate. Using the mouse wheel works fine, but not all users have a mouse wheel.

I do not use the captivate because of advanced interactivity widget that I have to accomplish with flash. I don't want to create a comboBox custom, because I use event listeners. Sovereign wealth funds is very complex, including more than 3 k lines of code.

Maybe I'll have to create an event listener for the scroll event and force it to remain open for a longer interval.

    comboBox.scroll

    comboBox.open)

Anyone know any solution for this? I couldn't find anything on the net. Thanks for your help.

A few suggestions for anyone with this problem...

    1. not to outsource the animation.

    2. use: _lockroot = true; in the flash file.

If you externalize the animation, because you use the moviecliploader class into the SWF, then you can try to increase the number of lines for the comboBox control to eliminate the scroll bar. I wonder if this is a problem with Captivate 5 or 5.5 and Actionscript 3?

  • SWF created at a pace, very slow parts in Captivate

Captivate Mac Leopard, Flash CS5, CS5 Demo, all the updates that are applied as a result of CSS5

I created swf with an image in the main timeline, any animation is made within a single movieclip on this image. At publication of flash, he's playing at my speed 30 fps. When in Captivate, it moves 1fps.

It is a standard for Captivate while playing the swf?

Additonally when I updated Durtation to the animation of his fair fills the however since long, the length of time is for the slide, even if the animation ends long before that.

Help, searched the forums, recommendations or search terms alternative should I use to find the answer.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Please could you tell how you inserted the Flash animation in Captivate 5 (does not part of the Creative suite, so not CS5, just version 5)? And you can check that the Flash file is AS3 (not AS2)? CP5 is only compatible with Actionscript 3. Have you turned on "synchronize with project?

If you choose "animation Duration", the animation will play for the duration, that she has been planned in Flash, e.g.. If your animation 60frames and rate 30 fps (no loop) he will play 2 sec and then disappear. If you want to keep it on the slide, when the animation is over, you can choose 'rest of slide '. / You can reduce the duration of the slide in the slide properties.
