Animation of zoom/dolly in the map of the world, the best workflow?

Hi all, I'm animating maps for a travel agency and they want me to zoom to a vision of the world in smaller places, like Costa Rica for example. Then animate a few lines and icons on the map in 3D. I've attached a video link of a that I already have. I work with an illustrator maptorian of the world card and import the illustrator file in AE. Can I use a camera to dolly in and making all the moves. My problem is that AE runs VERY slowly when you work with such a giant illustrator file (there must be millions of vectors). I tried to work with PNG files exported, but resolutions should be too big for them not to Pixelize (200 million pixels is not enough!) and then I met the same problems of slowness.

A second problem I have is with the shadows. because my illustrator file imports as 2800 x 1600 when I Zoom so far (although I am rastoring) my elements are only 1 pixel above the map (or at least this is the unit of measure AE uses even with the base vector files) so as you can see in the video the shadows move around annoyingly.

Can someone advise me on a path that I could work with a low card-based pixel resolution of the whole world and then zoom in on a small card vector space, that I need to work. Or any other ideas are welcome.

I'm using a Mac pro running 10.11.6 with 6 core and 16 GB of ram and AMD graphics cards.

AE is 13.8.1

Thank you

The illustrator file is highly textured and takes too much time to calculate, you should cut your chart into segments. I made maps of the world for many years of news and documentaries, to show the world to zoom in on a country and a city. You should separate you graphic into segments. map of the world say 4000 x 4000 pixels for example. and costa rica to 4000 x 4000. now composite costa rica on your map of the world. My guess is that you have a few places to zoom in on so just make these large sizes and place them on your map. If you have a high resolution on a large file low resolution.

For example, this card I did. I have to get all the way zoomed between the Morocco and the Spain, then completely out to part of the Middle East.

So I have this model master 1605x905px

You can see the limits of layers. I carefully place one above the other and resize it down. so I have a map of the area I zoom in to 1313x922px reduced to 60%. now, because I had yet another card on top of these 2 and he had to be reduced to very low values that are more difficult to place, I created a precomp with collapse and inside, there is another card to 2356x1493px 7% nationally.

This way I can cover on the other and do not have too many pixels at the same time.

Another example more complex because it contains more elements which must be organized differently to support a fine composition on both zoomed in and zoomed in on the map.

same idea. This type of card is dissolved in as I crash zoom

This guy a precomp with many items I can carefully place if the composition does not suit me perfectly.

Fun, right?

  • What is the best workflow for longer projects with music?

Hello. I'm just getting into after effects and WOW, I soak every tutorial I can. That being said, I wonder what's the best practice for working with longer projects. Let me give you a scenario.

So, I have my HAND COMP with piece of music in 3 minutes I sync up to my animations.

I create ANIMATION COMP 1 and drop it in the HAND COMP.

So let's say that I want to adjust something in ANIMATION COMP 1.

I switch back to ANIMATION COMP 1 window to make my adjustments.

Problem: Bed of music is in comp 1 so I can't listen to music and make adjustments accordingly.

The obvious solution is to simply create everything on 1 composition. But is there a way to make the MAIN COMP room if you change a secondary layout?

    Thank you

The only sensible thing to do for a few minutes longer project to edit in Premiere Pro and make the moves you must treat as individual comps in After Effects. Comps are for the creation of pictures and short clips. Try to put 80 or 100 cups in a single cimp is not only difficult to treat, but finding the flow with the music of changes are almost impossible.

If you want to get a real specific on all your production must begin before a single frame is shot. Shot a bunch of stuff and try to build something later are a very very bad idea unless there is no other choice. I did a lot of musical projects him more than 45 years in the business and even if you can't draw, just block storyboards will save you a lot of time.

I hope this helps. If you remember that make you plans in an EA and you had it first and you mix sound in addition, you will be in good shape.

  • What is the best "workflow" for sharpening Ultimate w PSE 8?

I shoot a lot of flowers near upward and also birds. Both have lots of details, feathers or Stamen, so I rely heavily on the sharpening. With birds, sometimes they are flying or remote or both, which makes it difficult to get sharp photos. Recently, I learned a lot about sharpening and now I am suffering, "I know, more I know that I don't know." In addition, some of my information is based on rumor and I appreciate all the advice. What would you say if I discuss my work flow and ask a few questions here and there.

I shoot RAW with a Canon 7 d and I almost always reduce my photos to nnnn x 1080 for that conversation, lets assume that I always do this downsizing. I heard that reduced pictures should never be sharpened up to the once they are reduced. Is this true? Should I set all sliders sharpening in ACR to zero? Should I also keep the low clarity slider in ACR or is it more your contrast medium and less sharpening? Is there another way to improve the clarity in PSE, ACR not?

When I finished with the cab and open in the elements, the first thing I do is crop and resize using Image, resize, bicubic sharper. Then I correct the imperfections. Then, I select on the subject (s) and adjust the curves of colors and then light sharpening, which seems to give me the best results that Enhance-setting sharpness. (After two years of use of items I found this bright sharpness and it's so good. I wish I would have notice this Brundage in the earlier book. I did ask me what I'm missing.) After light sharpening should I try high-pass sharpening more or any other type of sharpening? Is there empirical rules on what kind of sharpening works best in which application? For example, I heard another rumor that sharpening of the strong or the shadows just increases noise. Is there a good way to handle these situations, as select out them, or use a special blending mode?

After I'm done with the subject, I usually reverse in the background and noise and/or blurr and Desaturate to puncture the subject.

Is Photoshop complete necessary to get the best sharpening tools or sharpening similar and other aspects are more powerful? I use so little of 8 items that I guess and hope that Photoshop or Lightroom would be overkill at this stage.

Thank you very much for this review! If you can think of anyway I could improve, I would really appreciate any comments.

    Doug

I'm a little worried about it:

    Using Image, resize, Bicubic Sharper

Is there a special reason why resampling belongs to your basic workflow? It is generally not something you want to do until you have to.

  • What is the best workflow?

Hi, I'm an amateur videographer and editor, Im loving cs5.5 master collection. I continue to back and forth with ideas for modification of workflow, I can't seem to find what works best, maybe this isn't the right forum to post, but I'll apreciate any help or suggestion. I use the first, after effects and audition for most and then again. It is easier to explain with an example, I have pictures from a wedding I did and im taking excerpts from this and put together a short video clip. Ive been using first for the Cup and organize clips and thanks to the dynamic link for audition, audio and effects to clean up the image. Audition without problem but when I clean video with sequelae and return for a glimpse at first, its way too rough. IM wondering if its recommended to clean video with legacy first and then export and set first and then cut and organize? If anyone has the entries or Advisor, thanks and sorry for the silly question. I'd like know how the pro. Thank you

I agree with Joe.  Do what you can in PP, don't send the AE when you can't do it in PP.  And then just make the comps related for smooth playback.  (You do not have really need of a smooth playback, by the way.  Your export will come out very well even if the real-time playback stutters.)

  • What is the best format and resolution to save my images of logo for videos Adobe Premiere 3.0.

    Hello

I had a lot of success using this forum in the past and I was wondering if someone could help me. I save my images of logo for my video as transparent PNG at 72 DPI (because I read an article that said that 72 DPI was good) in Illustrator for my first-edited videos, but they seem to be pixelated. See the example in

Can someone tell me the best way to record so that it is more crispy.

For video, you need to rasterize any vector art. While we can leave PrPro do this, or can use HAVE, I find that the best workflow is to use Photoshop for this step - the pixelation. PNG should work fine, but I like to keep things in the native format of the PS, PSD. Until CS 5 and later, I also scale all Images in PS to match what I need.

    Good luck

  • How can I disable the zoom MagicMouse with Google Maps?

I use OS 10.11.3 (just improved) and an iMac 27 inches and MagicMouse, and suddenly the zoom with Google maps feature is now out of control.  I barely touch the MagicMouse and the zoom goes berserk, zoom-and-out and back-and-forth like crazy!  I can't click-and - drag any card with the function of zoo goes ballistic.

I had already been able to disable this annoying zoom feature but now I can't find anything in system preferences (mouse, accessibility, trackpad, etc.).  Please help me.  Thank you!

    Hi FRANTIC,

I don't know if you press any other keys while you scroll/zoom around your screen or if this only happens with Google maps, but I don't know which would be difficult.

Looks like you check in the appropriate locations to change the behavior.

Zoom in the accessibility preferences - Mac Help options

Set the options for the selected style (full-screen or picture-in-picture) by clicking More Options in the Zoom of the accessibility preferences pane.

To open this pane, choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, click Accessibility, click Zoom, and then click More Options.

    Zoom full screen

    Maximum and minimum Zoom Zoom

Set the range of magnification to use when you zoom in and out quickly.

Enlarge the image on the screen using your trackpad - Mac Help

You can use your trackpad to zoom in on part of your screen.

    1. Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, click Accessibility, and then click Zoom.

    2. Select 'Gesture to scroll using the modifier keys to zoom' to activate the zoom, and then select control, Option, or command from the context menu.

    It works for you?

  • display the items in the Web application on a default map, zoomed in on the Indian ocean?

Hi, I want to install a web application to display locations for a store, but after adding some web elements, all in the middle of North America, when I load the map app webapps, the default view is zoomed in on the Indian ocean...

Shouldn't; little zoom in the nearest you address web app components?  I have to manually zooom all the way, then in a marker that is properly pinned...

I had similar problems on some sites that usually comes from not having BC does not zip codes in their database.  You see a pin point in the middle of the ocean? If Yes, then this particular postal code for this element of web application is not in the database, in this case, contact technical support, and it adds the postcode.

If you do not see a pin point, I'm guessing that maybe your default search radius is maybe average to great and he's trying to adapt to everything on the screen in the search radius?

Try to set the radius of search at different levels and see what you get results and anyway maybe contact the Support with a list of specific zip codes to make sure they are in their database.

  • option to zoom in an interactive map

Hello! I have a scene with an interactive map with buttons. I want to add an option for people to zoom in and zoom out the map zoom without losing the interactive buttons. Is - is this posible? Sorry for my ignorance, I'm new on board

What you need to do is to give them a unique class name. Then, you must have the code for each of them.

    Example:

2 the images named 1, jpg and 2 jpg

'First' on behalf of class 1 and image 2 has class name "second".

then you code in compositionReady is:

    .zoomer ({$(".first") sym.

    Source: 'images/1.jpg.

    });

    .zoomer ({$(".second") sym.

    Source: 'images/2.jpg ".

    });

  • Is there a way to by clicking a zoom image to the area you clicked?

Until recently (unless my memory is completely shot), clicking on an image to see full size would be to center the image around the point on which I clicked. Recently, clicking on a missed to zoom up to the top left corner of the image. It can be a real pain to access the part of the image that I really want to see when I look at a particularly large image. Is it possible to restore the previous behavior?

    This always works for me.
I just test and horizontal and move automatically vertical scroll bars display the box I clicked when I open a large image (2400 x 2400) from my hard drive.

  • Flash animations will not play after the flash update

    Hello

It's really weird, but flash animations on most sites (sites like Ustream) will not play after that I updated the flash player. The funny thing is that on youtube play very well. I've tried disabling the addon of shockwave, relocation, etc., but nothing works. This problem is with firefox only because as the Chrome and Explorer the flash player works fine.

    Thank you.

Thank you. In fact, it was not necessary because I have disabled protected mode flash and who did it. However, seems like it is not the best option but average tiem, I guess I have no choice.

    Thank you.

  • What is the best file size to create an animated logo

I'm trying to animate a corporate lodge for a chart of the opening of a video. Can you recommend what size of files and the resolution is the best? If I can get a JPEG will apply the same specifications of file size.

I consider opening the file in Photoshop, selecting and separating logo in layers by using the layers separately to move together as the logo of the motion.

All your ideas and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help.

That's exactly how I would do it (too).

Applications of paint have wonderful tools to bump-out parts of an image, or to 'flatten' areas (cleaning/denoising artifact jpg)...

size/resolution: depends on the 'action', if you do not zoom in, 1920 x 1080 video hires, is good enough, if you do some z axis fun (fly Thru), a much higher res is needed.

suggestion: If the logo contains the fonts/text or simple forms, I re - who would enact in movement. because it acts as a 'vector' = resolution independently, as in this example:

  • Zoom to screen the drafting by e-mail.

When you compose an email, how you zoom in without changing the font size? CMD + only works on the emails not on messages that you compose. So, for example, you want to compose the email in the 12 font size but want to be able to read easily on your computer screen. When reading an email you can do control + and it will increase the size makes it easier to read, but when you dial, you can do that we must look at the tiny fonts.

    Hi Racecourse.

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

I understand that you want to zoom while composing a new email, but have not yet found a solution. An option which I think would be useful to you use Zoom after she turned on accessibility.

To activate the zoom, please follow the instructions in the article below.

To open this pane, choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, click Accessibility, and then click Zoom.

Once activated, you can use the following command key, command-Option-equal sign, zoom in on the new window mail.

Use the keyboard shortcuts for zoom in

Use the shortcuts listed for zoom in and out. For example, to zoom, press Command-Option-Equal Sign.

  • Able user to zoom in/out the image in real time the performance of façade?

Well I have searched this and have developed empty. What I would do, is to have a picture of a diagram on the front panel and during execution of the VI user can somehow zoom in/out the image in real time.

I know there is something that is called Zoomfactor that you instantiate a way in the block diagram, but that seems to zoom in on a picture of race prior to the program. The zoom is not in real time. There is no possibility of real user to zoom in/out with free will, using the Zoomfactor I see. (Sorry I forgot display name of the service). And I saw messages by a man named George Zou that seems to come with a VI which is closest to what I want, but I pulled the VI site seems not compatible with my computer (my rig is under XP with Labview 2013 currently). So, I was wondering if someone else had found other answers appropriate to my specifications?

Use a structure of the event to change magnification during execution.

You can even program your own shortcuts to the structure of the event, for example if the user clicks on a particular point on the picture and you read this coordinate on, and you zoom way at this point remains in the Center... There are many options to play with...
