Annexes PDF

Hello

Could someone please tell me how I would take a PDF which contains perhaps annexes A, B, C, and rather than having to each appendix attachment in the PDF main document body (which could be 50 pages long for each Annex and make the document more 150 pages to scroll in Total) I just tell annex on page 11 , B on page 12 and page 13 C, but integrate the annexes A, B and C as separate attachments that can be viewed from a content page in the file PDF if necessary.

I want all this be packaged in 1 PDF document, which can be sent to the right customer. I hope this makes sense

Thank you

Marc

You can design a separate PDF that works like a table of contents with links directly to different parts or page destinations in these parts.

The only thing to think about is a possibility for the reader to different PDF files to post a link to this base table of the content file.

  • It could include the addition of a button with an action, at the top of each page links back to "contents.pdf".
  • and in the pdf content you build links to the various destinations appendici and page.

Personally I prefer to use Destinations at work between the different PDF files and jump to a particular page, because they can target a specific page in a PDF file.

  • Basically, the first thing we do is that you set all Destinations in different PDF documents. (View > show/hide > components of Navigation > Destinations)
  • Then, generate you the links. (View > tools > PDF Edit), select Add or change the link in the link menu. Use the 'Go to Page view' option and click Next.
  • When the 'Set the link' dialog open the PDF that contains the destination, open the Destination pane and double-click the destination to set the link.

You can use a PDF portfolio to combine all PDFs in a single container. If you have worked with PDF portfolio in earlier versions of Acrobat, you'll find that in Acrobat DC portfolios has been greatly simplified.

  • File > create > PDF portfolio.
  • Click Add files.
  • Set the order in which you want to include the various documents (e.g.: PDF contenu.pdf first, then the others after that).
  • Click on create.

When you click on links, the different PDF files will be open to their point of destination.

Hope this helps,

CARI

  • Print to PDF function was large now terrible with upgrade in OS and AW

Earlier this year, my lamp iMac died and I could get a refurbished iMac 21 "iSeries.

    Data sheet:

type of lamp iMac G4 (possessed and used 2013-2016)

1 GHz power PC; 256 MB DDR SDRAM

    OS X 10.3.9

iMac 21 "series (refurbished, new to me February 2016)

    3.06 dual-Core i3

4 GB RAM, 500 GB HD

    OS X 10.6.8

On the G4 lamp, I was running from AppleWorks 6.2 something (I think it was 6.2.7) (I didn't this document and now no easy way to check if I have a bunch of files that I created with it).

Classic 9 OS installed, but ended up not using it because my document (manuscript 400 p begun in 2004) AW migrated perfectly to AW in OS X, I had (and also because the classic did not really work). Printing to PDF capability has been a huge bonus.

On the iMac 21 ", I'm using AppleWorks 6.2.9. All my G4 AW files migrate successfully.

In October 2014, the G4, I got a PDF file of most of my manuscript printed in a local printing - only 5 copies for binding to rings 3 on archives 100% cotton paper. I visited several local printers to check the image quality. It has been uniformly excellent. Due to the size of the file, pages with scanned images (JPEG format) inserted in the text have been saved/printed in separate PDF. There are also a number of line drawings I created for the project by using AW draw and then pasted directly into the main document.

I spent the next 18 months, evidence of indexing and necessary to make a number of corrections. In February 2016, I've migrated to the 21 "iMac computer and started using AppleWorks 6.2.9. Everything was good. Then, in early July I demonstrated new PDFs... body text without images and separate PDF files with images exactly as before. The result was a disaster picture-wise. Resolution of PDF files for all images, including my line drawings, is unacceptable. Help! I need to get this monkey of years 12-1/2 of a project of my back.

FOR INFO. I still have the lamp, "just in case" - even if it ceased to exist, the Loft of the computer in Boston has been able to save all my files.  They sold me and set me up with the iSeries 21 "iMac.

FOR INFO. There was also a problem with some of the designs and a chart that should be revised. I ended up changing them in Pages on a MacBook, I (10.4.11) and then insert the result in my manuscript. I did previously the drawing Pages are different from that of the AW functions. No problem with PDFs of these in 2014. (FYI. I said the hard drive on this machine is unstable, but it was fine for 1-2 months time I use it. I have not AW on the MacBook).

I've done a lot to look online and see no further discussions on the problems of making a PDF from AppleWorks, well from what I read, I learned that the PDF capability is linked to the operating system and not to the software application.

No printing with AppleWorks, I need to be able to make good PDFs at home. What should I do? I plan to call the Loft computer tomorrow morning, but thought I should at least make an effort on my own first.

I have not tried a test make a PDF with an image in Word format on the computer iMac 21 ". Should I do this?

FOR INFO. The manuscript is now about 500p in two master files - text with annexes and a separate index. The document consists of approximately 30 sections with headings under execution-odd and footers start-of-chapter/annex drop folio. As I said with scanned images pages are in separate files (20 or more). The manuscript contains almost 1000 notes and numbers about 45 and 46 cards. Most of the images are photographic, to be mounted by hand, so those who just captions text box in the body of the text. I tried to move this project to several years (ca. 2007) Pages without success mainly because of the drawings I had made to the draw AW. At this point, I have to just make the final revisions, to print my PDF files and return to my local printing store.

    Hi Dorothea,

At this point, I'd put AppleWorks 6.2.9 on your Macbook, completing the revisions and print PDF files there.

Copy the AppleWorks folder (including all files it contains) in the Applications folder on the MacBook. AppleWorks will create other files, to it is executed.

Work with a COPY of your current project. Back up frequently on an external drive.

    Kind regards

  • Cannot open PDF attachments since the upgrade to Acrobat Reader DC

I was recently invited to upgrade my Adobe Reader software to the latest version: Adobe Reader DC. Since that I can more open parts attached PDF received emails. I wish I had not updated Adobe Reader - last time I did, I also had problems and had to uninstall the update and reinstall an earlier version.

  • why I can't open a link to a PDF file in a new tab?

I want to click on a link in an email that I was sent just to my teacher after his seminary, which is supposed to open a PDF of the info. But when I right click on it and select open in a new tab, only a white page! But, since I KNOW there must be a correct link, I've tried around and found another way: if I select, "save link as", a window appears and allows me to save it as an adobe PDF file in my computer drive, I can then open and read. Why?
I mean, what could be the problem? I have never had a problem before you no longer can something right click and select "Open in new tab" and make it work just that like, without the extra steps!

A link can have several different handwritings in the annex that replace the normal behavior. It is actions that occur when you click (mouse down followed by mouse) a mouse button is pressed on the link (the mouse down) or when he is released on the link (the mouse upward). Usually the right click > open in new tab/window those who will bypass.

However, in some cases, when you hover over a link you sometimes see that she has no destination address, or seems to be pointing to the same page or starts with javascript:. In these cases, the right click operation fails because it copies this link does not exist or dysfunctional instead of running the script attached to the link.

Links to a PDF file displayed in a Firefox browser do not work somehow. Clicking on them has no effect. The links in the same PDF read correctly in Internet Explorer 8, and Safari 5. Also, Firefox does not display bookmarks PDF which have been set to automatically appear in the PDF properties.

V26 of Firefox running on a Mac. Recently updated to the Mavericks, but had the same problem before that.

It is already fixed in a future version of the built-in PDF Viewer.

The beta version of Firefox 27 to the current address shows yet links properly using the version 0.8.641, but the current construction of 28.0a2 Aurora shows the links to annexes correctly using version 0.8.759.

So does this mean that when Firefox 28 was released in March, it will work for users with this version of Firefox.

It does work with the version of the 0.8.649 PDF Viewer available on the site of modules.

  • I can no more pages of a pdf to another document.  How can I do?

I want the pages of a pdf document in another pdf document.  How can I do?

Make a copy of your target PDF. Preview, open the double and the other PDF document individually, each in the thumbnail view. Select the last thumbnail. Your duplicate will be your target PDF. If you make a mistake below, you can choose Edit menu: cancel, or select the thumbnail you want to delete, and then click the delete key.

Select a thumbnail of the source PDF and drag on the thumbnails of the target. If you want to insert it between two existing thumbnails, drag so that it covers half miniature precedent where you want it placed. The following vignette will push down, and a green symbol appears on the thumbnail that is swiped. Release him. Numbering PDF pages you sequence again.

To add, drag on about half of the last tile in the target PDF. Under this vignette will be a line pale horizonatal. Wait until this line has pushed down before releasing the thumbnail crept into its position in the annex.

If you perform one of the last two paragraphs of evil, you will have the original PDF document is opened, and a new PDF open underneath. No, the goal here.

  • Remove the security settings for a document can be inserted in the annex.

I have a document provided by someone to add an annex to my report.  However, the security settings are in place because the document was "signed" and it will not allow my to insert in my report as an annex.  I tried "printing" to PDF and create a word document.  I try to avoid printing a hard copy and analysis 190 pages by making very large file size.  Is it possible to disable the security settings or remove the signature, so it can be inserted?

OK, if you believe that you have the right to use the document, security permissions can be removed by a number of third parties which are available utilities. I use this one: http://www.elcomsoft.com/apdfpr.html

  • setFocus pathing in order to link the PDF

    I'm over my head.

Because that would be my first experience with Javascript (apart from taking
the class develop forms), I'm in uncharted territory.  Please take
a minimum level of experience of Javascript for all suggested courses
action and thanks in advance for any help.

My process is (or will be, hopefully) the automatic transformation of a
input XML into a potentially long PDF file consisting of 3 sections: the
Body, annex and Appendix B.  Appendices A and B will be dynamically
built from content in the XML input file.  I think I'll end up
compose each section independently, then use assembler to put the
three compound of sections together in a single PDF file.

The body is composed of several smaller sections, each of which can contain
(among other things) one or more tables.  The instructions of the user
must take all tables with more than 25 lines and move them to the body
in Appendix A.  For these instances, I'll need to introduce a link in
the section appropriate to the table in Appendix a.

I can imagine introducing a tableLink recurring element within each section
for the links in the table in Appendix A. I would use XSLT to parse the XML and the ferret
large tables, put the table index in my new item tableLink.
In the form, the Click event for the button tableLink would have the
setFocus method, which will be the value of the tableLink
element to build the path to the appropriate extensible in table forum
    Appendix A.

    Ugh.

I decided to experiment with something a little less variable.
I introduced a button in the form fragment for the article body
link to an instance of the specified section. I then used the section
fragment of a top level as a repeating subform form. I associated
a new using the setFocus method, try many different paths
variations (like. xfa.form.ItemName.MRCGroup #MRC [4] - where the MRC is the)
the name of the repeating section) to get a jump in the PDF preview of the
first to the instance 5th of the MRC, but none worked.  It doesn't throw
any error, but or not he jumps to the bottom of some pages, as planned.

Can someone help me with setFocus multiple paths to a particular build
instance of a structure repeated in a larger shape?

Take the issue to a higher level, how I will build the setFocus
path of the body in Annex A or B of annex once I assembled the
three distinct sections in a single PDF?

[Can it sounds something like: 'xfa.form.AppxA. #Table [$variable']
(where $variable is the value of the tableLink)?  Or would the
different being at the Summit as the three parts of my document will
grouped into new single PDF in assembler?

    Thanks in advance.

There is nothing wrong with your logic... the question is that the cursor can be placed in a field that backs do not yet exist. From the point of view of Acrobat, the field does not exist until the script that created it exits. So if you try to move the cursor in the same script as the addInstance doea then it won't work (because Acrobat is not yet registered objects). You can use AcroForm command to run a command at some point in the future. I used this technique to accomplish what you want. Here's the command:

    var

    setField = app.setTimeOut ("this.getField ('form1 [0].)") Page3 [0]. TextField4 [0]') .setFocus (); (', 1000);

Where 1000 is the waiting time before execution of the command in milliseconds.

Note the reference to the object in its complete form.

  • Preview.app stuck on the first page of the PDF in single page mode

I regularly Preview.app view PDF files and want to use the "Single Page" function to display an entire page at one time. I have 'Single Page' display set as the default behavior.

Lately when I open a PDF file, they properly open the first page, but I am unable to navigate to another page via the drop-down page, touch up/down arrow. If the PDF file has a table of contents, I am able to go beyond the first page through it and then proceed to navigate normally. If it is not a table of contents, the only solution is to continuous scrolling mode and continue to navigate beyond the first page.

It's very annoying! Unfortunately, I can't remember where this started happening. It could be when I upgraded to MacOS Sierra, but I can't confirm.

    Everyone else see this behavior?

Hold down the Option/ALT key, then use the cursor to the TOP or to the BOTTOM of the key.

  • Overview of Sierra blacking out diagrams in PDF

When you view a PDF user manual, and some of the diagrams are blackened. Read properly user manual front of Sierra. A new pdf download does not help. The document is displayed correctly in SC6. All the patches?

    Hi, Mike V Nano.

I see your message that your PDF document is not correctly displayed in the preview for macOS Sierra. I'll be happy to help.

As you notice this with several pdf files and these files seem to be display correctly in another app, looks like you have isolated this problem with preview more precisely. First, open preview and choose Exit in the application menu in the menu bar, or press command-Q to close the application. When you re - open preview, hold down the SHIFT key on your keyboard while you open the program. This will temporarily prevent the application to reopen his documents and its windows. A test to see if you still notice the same problem after you perform this step. If you haven't already done so, try to restart your Mac to see if the problem persists as well.

If the problem persists after trying the above steps, I would like for you to start in safe mode and test for the problem there. Take a look at the following resources for more information on this process:

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning - Apple Support

If the problem persists in safe mode, it may be a good idea to test this behavior in an another user account on your Mac. This will help you locate the problem. Take a look at this Web site for more information:

I don't want to use a different software since it worked perfectly fine before the update. Any ideas?
